I have been using A&B German Car Care for about 2 years now. Since I have never owned a European car before I was not very familiar with very many auto repair shops. I tried two other shops and I decided to stay with A&B. The individuals are extremely professional and provide excellent customer service. You can t go wrong with these guys!Garrett was very helpful & professional in helping me out with my 2013 BMW x3.They stand behind their work and as a customer you always want to feel comfortable with the mechanics you deal with. I have never felt like they were ever trying to scam me with any repairs that was not needed. I would recommend them for any of your car care needs. Trust is hard to come by nowadays, and I trust them as an honest and professional auto mechanics shop.They are knowledgeable and provided great customer service.

Update - These individuals are extremely professional and provide excellent customer service. You can t go wrong with these guys!Garrett was very helpful & professional in helping me out with my 2003 Jetta TDI. I recently had some work done by a different mechanic and the car was having intermittent starting issues. They were able to identify that the starter ground was not placed correctly. They fixed the issue & saved me from having to purchase a brand new starter as it was not needed.They are knowledgeable and provided great customer service. I will be returning to have the exhaust leak that was identified fixed this week by them.

My 20 year old daughter took her VW in for an oil change. I recommended she comes here because I ve had a good experience in the past.She was told it s highly recommended to have a 80,000 mile inspection done per the manufacturer. She agreed and told the mechanic OK but wasn t exactly sure what would be worked on. This is understandable considering she s a young college student.The complexity of the service had her feeling a little confused and unsure about what she was actually paying for. Someone unfamiliar with cars and the inner workings of a car would find it difficult to fully understand what was being done and if it was necessary. I called to get some clarification from Garrett but he was argumentative the entire time and didn t give me an opportunity to talk. He told me I was WRONG and at one point said I explain the same thing to other people several times throughout the day implying we were incapable of understanding the service done to her car. She went in wanting an oil change but left paying $898.00 ($550 labor) for a full service. Big lesson learned and beyond disappointed with this entire situation

I have been going to A&B for a few years now. They've done amazing work on my son's Audi A4 and my BMW 4 series. Everytime I leave, I am grateful for the work they do and the price they do it for. They make my car run like it's perfect. Great people and great service, I might even say the best service. So here's my thank you to you guys. Owner, Mike Abelar is o my e of my favorite people. Mike always gives me an honorable estimate for my 330i service and repair. There are a lot of German car repair garages but I wouldn't go anywhere else. Keepen it Everytime. Can't say enough good things. Thanks Mike, Loyal, Wolfgang Geistlinger

What a great company. Mike and his staff helped me with the power sun roof on my Audi A7. It wouldn't close. They had me come in and it was fixed within 15 minutes. Their tech new exactly what to do. And they didn't charge me to boot! What a very nice Christmas gift. A&B has done work for me before with no issues or problems. Garrett is very helpful too. I'm using these guys for all my service and repair needs and encourage everyone to do so too.Service: Auto power window repair

Mike and staff have always done a great job working on our cars. We have been going to this shop for years and they are always friendly, efficient and fair but more important, they stand behind their work, provide excellent service and are extremely knowledgeable. I would not be able to recommend any other repair shop and will be return customer for years to come. It is nice knowing we have a reliable expert just around the corner! I have to say it's hard to find a good shop these days that won't rip you off or sell you something you don't need . This shop is the only shop I trust with my bmw . They do it right the first time an they use oem parts. The price is very reasonable considering the repair being done. They are very knowledgeable in all aspects of German cars. I won't take my car anywhere else because I know it's going to be fixed properly an in a timely manner.

Mike took really good care of me.He answered my phone call with a few minutes in the day to spare,A&B let my car be towed up and dropped off the same day, and it was ready within 24 hours. Not only did he fix my car, but called and offered to do the necessary routine service on it, as it was due - had not even thought of that and more than a fair deal since he had already fixed my car's transmission. I highly recommend A&B German Car Care. Amazing price too. Upfront, and set strong expectations then met / exceeded!

A&B GERMAN CAR has been servicing my cars for years now. And I've never had any problems or issues. It's been drop it off and come pick it up fixed.Professional service, Down to earth people, Fair honest prices. Thanks to Mike and Garrett I bought my new whip based off of there suggestions of what to look for... Cool people. Take your foriegn to this shop.

Brought my BMW X5 in when check engine light came on. Vehicle was in need of some minor repairs that were performed in a timely manner and initial estimate was updated to me when issue was determined. Found all the employees I dealt with to be truly professional and will definitely be returning again if needed. Nice to have a shop that I can feel has treated me with honesty and excellent work!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Honest and Excellent Service! When the dealer told me I needed to replace my brakes I brought my car to A&B. They did an inspection and determined that my brakes were fine. They topped off all of my fluids and waived the inspection fee. I wouldn t hesitate to bring my car back! Go see them and ask for Garrett. It s nice to know that there are great repair shops out there. Thank you again A&B.

There has been no other place I have found in sacramento that offers the expertise and service in a wide variety of German cars that they do here. I have came here for 4 years with 2 different Audi s. A 2008 A4 and a 2013 Q5. The help that Mike has given me over the years is second to none. He knows the specific areas inside each generation of engine, turbo system and transmission to not just tell you what is going on but why and what they do differently to help solve those problems to give new levels of reliability to German vehicles. They genuinely care about you and it shows in the way they work with you as a team to help your car stay on the road reliably and perform well.

Mike and Bryan are top notch guys and treat their customers with respect, integrity, and understanding. I have brought my 328i, 335i, 325i, Passat, a4, and CLS 63 to them for any services and repairs that have caused me problems. Their prices are very fair, turnover time is quick, communication is thorough, and service is always quality. Don't mess around anywhere else or with the dealership if you can avoid it. Let A&B take care of you and you won't be let down or feel worked over!

Our car was having some very weird engine issues. One Audi dealership and one independent garage in the bay area failed to make a diagnostics. They wanted thousands of dollars to open the engine. A&B German Car Care just put a camera inside a cylinder and was able to quickly diagnose our problem. I cant understand why the others did not do this first but I am so glad I followed recommendations to bring our car to them. They are super friendly, understood our constraints and worked with us to find a solution. I will definitely visit again!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Had my car for 3 weeks and still not able to figure out what was wrong with it. Had it towed to another shop and they had it running in 2 days. I called to get her some restitution for being charged over $600 for a new battery, spark plugs, and intake boot. Mike the owner stood by his charges and would not provide any relief. Shame because I've been taking 4 of my BMW's there over the years but this time left a foul taste in my mouth.Service: Engine repair

Having recently moved to northern California I was faced with the daunting task of finding a reliable mechanic. I stumbled upon A&B car car by chance and have received top notch service. I have had my Audi S4 worked on several times now and I feel fortunate to have this resource close by. Mike is awesome to work with. He is accommodating, knowledgeable and most of all honest and up front. Hands down the best service I have ever had for automotive work. He and his crew put in some serious work on my car (most of which was unforseen due to dealership work that stripped bolts on the valve cover). They were methodical, persistent and thorough in their work. I have already referred several colleagues to them. Look no further for German car care.

Mike at A&B German Car Care is the best of the best! I've been bringing my e46 BMW 3 Series here for years for everything from general maintenance to strange electrical problems that I had no idea how to fix. These guys are extremely honest, explain exactly what needs to be fixed and what is not an immediate priority (they don't waste your money!), and their nighttime drop box makes it really easy for people who work during the day to find a time to drop their car off. Not to mention their prices are extremely fair, and they've even done some minor work for me for no charge at all!If you have a BMW, Audi, VW, or any other German car in Sacramento, bring it HERE for service! You absolutely won't regret it.

I brought my car into A&B German Car Care recently for a/c repair and right away I found the owner Mike to be super nice and knowledgeable. After I gave a brief description of my a/c issue, he walked me through possible causes and repair costs and I was delighted to see they were competitively priced. I didn't have time to bring the car in the morning so I dropped the car off the night before using their nifty earlybird drop box. The car was done by 3 PM and I swear my a/c now feels COLDER than when I first drove the car off the dealership lot many years ago! On top of everything, they saved me over $1500 from what the dealership wanted to charge. I could not have asked for a better experience.

Great mechanics and customer service.Garret goes above and beyond, and is friendly and shares infomation about vehicles and known issues etc. Won't go anywhere else to have my German autos maintenenced.

I have taken my BMW to Mike for 4 years. Everytime I walk in the front door I am greeted with a smile. The decor is beautiful and inviting. Mike is caring honest and upfront and provides the best care for my car. I wouldn't trust my car anywhere else but A&B German Car Care.

This place is awesome! I brought my car in for an awful noise that was happening when I was braking and was afraid it would be an expensive fix. The owner told me that the brakes I had in my car were cheap and wearing unevenly and that's where the noise was coming from. Guess it doesn't pay to get a cheap service when the parts are poor quality and wear out so fast :-/ He replaced my brakes with much a better quality product and even showed me the wear on my old brake pads. He didn't try to up-sell me on anything I didn't need and as a young female I really appreciated his honesty and integrity. My car sounds great; I feel safer; and I will definitely be back for anything else my car needs. Thanks A&B! Oh, and the waiting room is very nice. A clean and tidy waiting room with comfy seats and hot coffee is a definite bonus :)

Mike was super friendly and helpful! My VW Golf had a rare but bad repair that needed to be fixed asap! I wasn't expecting to have the options of doing a night drop off and picking up after hours. Especially with my busy work and school schedule, Mike made this very easy for me. He treated my car like if it was his own. My car is working great again and I now know who to go to for future repairs! (knock on wood) (: Very thankful and would definitely recommend! Thank you Mike!

I come here for my routine oil changes, they are knowledgeable about most things. I had an issue about my heater not working properly so I dropped off my car. Mike called me the next day asking if I wanted to get my spark plugs changed I told him to hold off on that. When I went to pick it up my vehicle Mike was saying how dealers rip people off and then said I have a bill of seven her dollars for getting my spark plugs changed I said what I never authorized that he act surprised and said this is the first time as ever happened to him. He said he can remove them and put the old ones back. I didn t feel comfortable if he did that so he adjusted the bill a little and I paid. I took my car to the dealers the following week since the vehicle had a recall and they said it was HVAC Unit which costs them $200 to replace and Mike was saying it was going to cost me over a thousand. Just make sure you look around a few mechanics before you get work done or you might get ripped off. I gave them two stars since they do know how to do a oil change but they are not to familar with Audi cars it cost me more to have it checked out here I should of just took it to the dealers and saved me some money. I did call Mike to ask about how much it will cost to replace HVAC and he he never returned my call since.

absolute professionalism. we were very pleased with the routine maintenance we had done to our vehicle. but above and beyond the service, we were able to convince them to come to our home to get our vehicle and bring it back when service was completed. im sure that is not something they can do for everyone. but it worked out for us, and we sure appreciate them.
