I left my hot rod there to get the differential serviced and I had to tow my car home. I parked the car there with no issues. I picked the car up with a knock that turned out to be a spun rod bearing. The owner said that it knocked when they started it up after I parked it. It is hard to believe that I drove it 40 miles with no knock and all of a sudden it has a knock when they start it up to move it in the shop . It doesn't just spin a rod bearing just sitting there, and I would not have made it to the shop in that condition. The car was either taken for a joy ride or revved past its limits while in their care. Unfortunately I cannot rate the work done on the differential because they ruined my engine.

To start off Miguel and the team at Premier went above and beyond to get my truck back on the road. After breaking down at king of the hammers was able to call after hours and get the process moving. The work was top notch and couldn t be happier. For all the work that was needed the price was right and not overcharged. I needed a new axle and got the rear end regeared with a new LSD unit. I m back on the road and the truck feels great! Would recommend them any day of the week.

They do great work, first off met them off work hours and they offered to tell me what was wrong with my rear end for free. They promised to get it back to stock or better (bold words for not even seeing the rear diff yet) But they absolutely delivered!!! My 5th Gen is absolute beast with zero gear whine. As far as pricing goes i have no clue, and honestly for the quality work they did they could have charged me double what they did and i still would have paid. They were extremely fast and professional and one of the most knowledgeable shops i have found. I will be sending all my friends to them without hesitation. i wish i could give them 6 out of 5 start but.

I had new gears put in my 2016 Jeep Wrangler today. I received exceptional service from Premier West Gears. I dropped it off in the morning and it was done a couple hours later. I picked it up at the end of the day, just a few minutes before they closed and I was not rushed out. They walked me through the break-in period and what I need to do to make these gears last (I did not receive any instructions from the last place I had work done). Pricing was fair and straightforward. Everyone I dealt with from the phone call/reservation through drop off to the pick was nothing but professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this shop.

I took my 02 f150 4x4 in and was able to talk to him about my truck very openly. I got the front and rear differential service. $300 in total and he had it done in a day and half. He gave me referrals for the other work I needed done. I look forward to getting my other ford AWD serviced.

Got a card from these guys at the offroad expo in pomona. Brought my F350 in for a re gear and had a couple ball joints replaced while it was apart. Saved over 400 compared to other shops I received quotes from. The guys were friendly and up front about pricing. They were also very accommodating working with my time-line. (I have a bad habit of needing last minute work done quickly) I would definitely recommend them and will use them again if I need work done on my other vehicles.

I brought my Nissan p4x in for a new axle swap and some repair work. These guys are specialists, and got me dialed after no other mechanic wanted to touch it, because the axle seal had been badly repaired by a different shop. They knew exactly what I needed and weren't scared to work on it. Great communication with Carlos. They gave me the best price in Southern California! Great quality service, 100% recommend.

Had my JK and Taco re-geared. These guys are amazing! They installed my drive shaft and diff cover at the same time. Both vehicles drive amazing! I definitely recommend if you need a re-gear.

2023 Gladiator Rubicon, regear to 4.88. Waited about 3 weeks for an appt. Showed up at 8:20, vehicle was done by 11:30 a.m. Price was great. Can't recommend strongly enough.

They did a cool job on gears but what I didn t like that I had some shot wheel bearings in the back I feel like they should have seen that and let me know to fix wile we re there

My experience was great at this shop! They were able to answer my list of questions about regearing on my truck. They help me to pick what is best for my route of what I do with my truck. Also, Carlos was patience with my list of questions and he was able to help me understand my question. Similar with Miguel whom I didn't not meet in person but helped me via on message when I was placing my order and making my appointment. He was really helpful as well and able to help me understand my question. The service was pretty quick.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Had 5.29 REM polished gears and a rear locker installed on my 2018 tacoma recently and it s been an absolute game changer. I called the shop and told them what I drive and what I m doing with the truck and they set me all up. I made an appointment to have them installed right when they opened and they knocked it out fairly quickly. I highly recommend coming here for any of your cars that require gears. You ll see a crazy mix of vehicles from hot rods/classic cars to modern trucks.

I dropped off my truck on Monday afternoon and it was ready for pickup first thing Wednesday morning.They installed new ring and pinion, and bearings in rear axle and serviced the front axle.Nice professional staff with competitive pricing and a carry a lot of parts in stock.I would definitely patronize this company in the future

Had new gears and locker (5:29 Nitro) installed on my Tacoma. Miguel was great with the communication leading up to my appointment. Carlos and the other guys did a great job with the install. No leaks and they work awesome! Couldn t be happier with the service I received!

I've used these guys twice now and they're great! Miguel was super comunicative. They got me scheduled pretty quick. I dropped my Jeep off and had it back before the end of the same day! Highly recommended.

I took on a job I had no tools or experience doing. I thought my truck was crippled but Carlos on premier west gears understood what I was trying to do and helped me build my custom differential carrier. It works great no wines or clunks and I'm doing burnouts and hitting trails hard! Thanks again Carlos!

Found this shop scrolling through tacoma world for a group a buy! First of all I love supporting family owned shops! Miguel and Carlos took care of my 2017 Taco Nitro Regear and ARB rear locker install. Not only great customer service but same day turn around time for the install.**If you plan on having the plumbing and electrical done for the arb locker you would have to leave it for the night because they have a separate guy that comes in and does that.Def recommend taking your rig out to these guys for a regear!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Very good work. Had my jeep regeared to 4.88. Brought it in the morning, picked it up in the afternoon. Ony thing they don't tell you till you pick it up is to break it in. Drive 15 minutes, set 45 minutes, rinse, lather, repeat. Took me 4 hours to get back to Orange doing this when it took 35 minutes to drop it off.

I took my truck to premier west gears to get a regear after putting 35in tires on. Everything seemed ok at first but then I noticed a leak coming from the rear end. It was leaking out of the pinion seal and also out of the diff cover. The cover was leaking as a result of way too much rtv so I took off the extra and fixed that when I changed the oil. As far as the seal leak I took it back to premier west and they fixed it but charged me because it wasn t a result of the regear even though it never leaked prior to them touching it. Also when I tried to schedule an appointment to have the leak fix I called on Friday and they told me to come in on Tuesday but to call on Monday to confirm. When I called on Monday they told me the soonest they could get me in was Thursday even though they had already told me to bring the truck in Tuesday. Once the leak was fixed I thought everything was ok until I went to replace my brakes a few weeks later. That s when I found a stripped wheel stud, all the threads were fine but the splines to keep it pressed into the axle were gone. Premier west gears had also replaced my driver side axle when doing my regear but instead of pressing in new wheel studs, they pounded out the old ones and reinstalled them resulting in the bad one. Would not recommend this place, sketchy work as well as poor service.

Regeared Stock 16 Taco TRD 4x4 to 4:88 + rear diff locker:Found this place on craigslist and wanted to know if they were legit. So far, all the customers that I met have told me how much the workers knew their stuff and how affordable it is. I checked out other reputable shops and price cannot be beat!!! I just realized its family operated! Awesome! I spoke with Carlos whom is the manager. He always picks up when I call!! Excellent customer service. First time around I was reluctant to have my differential lockers done as I kept researching on the pros and cons of it. Came to check out the place. Carlos was kind enough to take his own time (after hrs) to educate me on the ARB lockers and re-gearing if I wanted to lift and bigger tires. If it were not for his time to explain to me how important it was to regear, I would have ended up down the line paying labor twice for doing regearing separately. Carlos is the man. When it was the day for the service, I met a guy who had a tricked out wrangler and told me how he drove all the way from downtown LA to come to this place because of how affordable it is. The mechanic told me it would have been around 4 hrs. Hiccup in the vendor brought incorrect gear size to the front diff which led to total of 7 hr job. Not Premier s fault at all. I saw how they work. Miguel is the man for the Job! Highly recommend it. Take note, if you are a DIY kind of guy (if you can DIY fluid changes...) this is the place. (Installed air compressor and air line my self for the locker) Let Premier do the heavy lift and technical stuff for you. Keeps costs down! Love it!! Would totally come back for future technical/heavy upgrades!! (Suspension/lifts) in the future!

New to SoCal, I found Premier online. Dropped off my 8.8 IRS differential (2016 Mustang) to have 3.73's installed. Excellent service and ready for pickup the very next day. These guys have a lot of experience in the off-road category but I needed a pro shop that knows proper gear/diff setup. Don't be intimidated by all the badass jeeps.... gears are gears. If you need differential/gear work look no further...PWG pros will set you up right. (with a warranty!!!)
