Called ahead and set up a time and date. Took my vehicle and Jay called back and said I needed a new compressor. Dropped off at 8:30 finished by 12:45. $670 total and air conditioner is working excellent. Jay also mentioned I have a 1 year warranty parts and labor. Thank you.

The real deal. After a bad experience with another mechanic trying to fix my AC, I was giving up hope, but I found Jay's shop here on Google and the great reviews did not lie at all! He diagnosed my car AC's problem quickly, and had it fixed as good as new by the end of the day for a great price. Definitely call ahead of time to set up an appointment, or go in person to make an appointment.Service: A/C installation & repair

Kind of a hole in the wall, but Jay and Isaac know their stuff. Jay has been doing this for 50 years. Didn t charge for a diagnostic. I just dropped my car off in the morning and they had it done by the end of the day. Make sure to make an appointment since they have limited hours. They fixed my 07 Murano just in time for summer. Also, the shop is tucked away in the back and the sign for the shop is now covered by a gate, so just take your time looking for the place.Services: A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

I had such a positive experience here, was was quoted by two different places AC services over $2,000, decided to take my car to Jay and all my car needed was a AC recharge. I couldn't believe that those other places were trying to take advantage. This just goes to show how honest Jay is. Drop off and pick up was easy, you do have to call and schedule ahead of time for drop off. My car A/C ran into problems during a road trip to So Cal earlier this summer. Jay and Isaac did a very efficient job diagnosing the problem and recharging the system. I am so grateful to have Jay the owner and mechanic here work on my AC. He is the only one I would trust with my AC repairs for my vehicle. Reasonable prices as well. I highly recommend him. However the shop is hard to find. It is behind Harris.

This place is a great find! Jay is awesome, very honest and prices are great! Fix the a/c on my 2011 Acadia now it is ice cold. Jay is an old school no bs mechanic who knows his trade well. Make an appointment before you go though. I am recommending this guy to everyone that needs ac work. Ty Jay I appreciate your hard work and honesty. My a/c went out in my car. I called Jay, and when he looked at it, he told me there was a wire harness that was damaged. He referred me to Auto Tech on 3rd street to get it fixed, and he didn't charge me a dime! What a wonderful, honest man!!!

Jay has been servicing my cars' AC for years, and I am always pleased with the results. He is knowledgeable and skilled, and easier on my wallet than other options out there. Don't be put off by the location. It's a little tucked away and no frills - but hey, that means less overhead for him and more savings for you! Go there. You won't be sorry.

My a/c went out on my 2015 honda accord!! Took it to jays and got it fixed in less than 24 hrs and $35 cheaper then my estimate. Tested with dye, found leak, replaced compressor and recharged!! Jay was very honest and didn't talk down to me!! Highly recommend.

Jay was fantastic! I did not have an appointment and he managed to squeeze me in for an AC recharge. He was very reasonably priced. I was in and out in 30 minutes. I recommend calling 5 days in advance to make an appointment beforehand. He saved me from suffering the sweltering heat this summer.

Jay is awesome! Called him late in the afternoon he said come on by. Air was blowing hot in my truck. He was able to troubleshoot and repair the problem in about 20 minutes. Only charged me a few bucks. Very reasonable and I will definitely go back if I ever have any other issues with my vehicle's AC.

Called and made an appointment, dropped off the car and Jay ran all the tests and got the work done quick at an affordable price. A true expert and an honest mechanic. This shop is the real deal.

SO, I brought in my vehicle for Jay to look at. Right after looking up into the chassis of my car, he immediately knew that my air conditioner compressor went out. he gave me a quote of what it would cost; after of which I told him I would get back to him. After calling around, Jay's quote was at the lowest of all the competition in this area, including Orange County. I immediately took him up on his offer. I brought my car in during the morning, and the work was already complete by the time he promised, at 2PM. He went ABOVE and beyond by helping me install the AC AND the main serpentine belts in my car. The ride back home was great, with ice cold air rushing out of my vents, as if I pulled my car right off the lot.If you are having trouble deciding if you should go to Jay's or not, let this review be the deciding factor. Go to Jay's. I believe he is among a special group of auto mechanics that deal honestly and respectfully. Thank you again, sir! And if anything should go wrong with my AC with any of my future cars, I will be going to Jay's again.

My AC compressor clutch wasn t engaging so I tried charging it and installing a new AC relay and nothing worked. I was hesitant to go to an AC mechanic not wanting to get ripped off. Jay was honest, did all the work right in front of me, and gave me a fair price. Not to mention he has been working on car AC systems for 47 years! If you have AC problems, he is the guy to go to.

Jay gave me an appointment. Promptly diagnosed the issue (blown fuse) dealer wanted $179 to diagnose jay was a great deal. Cheaper. God bless him and his business. These re Jews are all true. True definition of an honest mechanic.

my AC unit went out in my 2012 Acadia. i got a quote from Pepboys for $3100, telling me multiple hoses and the condensor needed replacing along with a recharge... on top of that it could take days to repair. so we found Jays and couldn't be happier! he had us in his shop at opening and out by 3pm... essential hoses replaced, recharge completed and guess what, my condensor IS NOT broken! my total cost? $450!!!!!!!!!!! he had excellent costumer service, was fast and fair priced to say the least! i would recommend Jay and his hole in the wall shop to every one and anyone! Thank you Jay!

Found Jay's place a couple of weeks ago. They do great work on a/c systems here. We needed an a/c hose pressed, and they were able to do a great job here. It's not easy to do custome a/c lines, but Jay's here was able to get it done for a very reasonable $40 per hose. So yes, we will keep coming back here often. We do a lot of a/c repair. And some older car, well, they don't sell a/c parts for them any more, so you habe to custome build hoses. And Jay's place can help. Hope you like them as much as we do.

6-1-2010 -- JAY'S AUTO AIR AND HEATER SPECIALISTS is the place to go for automotive heating and air conditioning repairs if you are in the Riverside, Moreno Valley area. I got referred here years back and I'm so glad I did. Jay is very honest, and has saved me alot of money. One place in Corona said my Expedition's AC system needed replacing for over $1000, Jay looked at it and all it needed was recharging for $121!Now years later I needed it recharged again. The local 'Tire Pro's' shop gave me an estimate of over $300...Jay serviced it for $139. He even welded my son's Sentra's radiator while I waited, and wouldn't charge me. Honest and kind, thanks Jay--UPDATED 05-12-2014--Went back to Jay for another system recharge. I've been coming here for A/C work for years and won't go anywhere else as long as Jay is working.His shop is in back of the buildings along Main St, and there may not be a sign. Get to the address and take the driveway to the rear...you will see the shop.

Jay is the man! I went in for help with a vehicle that still had r12. He helped me trouble shoot and didn't charge me until my AC was working; went three times due to me having to change parts. I highly recommend his services.

I recommend this service center whole heartedly. Jay and the other fella that works there were very polite and knowledgeable. I brought in a old Toyota 84 Tercel that's Air conditioning hadn't worked in 6 years and after being told by other shops that it would have cost me $200-300 to repair it ( and that required me to switch the whole thing over to R134 which does not work as well in cars designed to use R12) he had me going for exactly what he quoted me $90!!! That's all it took, he found the leak and fixed it right. And quick too. If you go anywhere else you'll be taken advantage of. I went to him in the middle of a heat wave and he didn't try to take advantage of that he was more concerned in me. God bless these two.

Went to the plaza by the dealerships, wanted to charge me over $400 for parts and labor. Went to Jays, it was a $15.00 part. He was honest, I would recommend him!!

Just left the shop. I believe everything jay told me. Wasted time and money in Moreno Valley. Should have gone to Jay's at first for my AC and Heating needs for my vehicle. Go to Jay's first. Don't make the mistake i did.
