Got the mexican flag. Amazing food and very delicious. New to town but will return here to try new things on their menu. OK so I have returned a number of times and they don't miss. They got a extra large burrito bro. 3 meats. Always a banger for $15 hell yeahWheelchair accessibility: Great table hights for wheelchairs. And enough room to navigate

Went for dinner on a Thursday evening with my girlfriend 5 p.m. We were immediately seated and had our drink order taken along with chips and salsa (first one is free, refiles are $1). The menu has a good amount of options from the traditional mexican cuisine to burgers and salads; they also have a small kids menu. The price point is perfect for someone with a large family or on a budget, in this economy it is a plus. The food arrived timely and hot. Portions are to be expected at the more value price, but we still left with a doggy bag. Over all the staff was excellent and attentive, the food was on point, and the enviroment was comfortable and homely.

2017 review: Server was attentive. Brought out chips and salsa almost immediately after we sat down. The salsa was yummy with a nice amount of spice. The taco combo plate was good. Jan2018 update: Downgraded from 4 stars to 3 stars. Visited the place a year later. A different type of service this time. Look a while for the server to take our order. Chips and salsa never came. Asked about the chip and finally someone said they are making a new batch, then another server came later to say they were all out. We order an appetizer instead to tie us over until the meal came. The meals came out first. The appetizer came out after one of the members of the party finished the meal already.

I was really surprised at this restaurant! Wow, the staff is so nice, the food was hands down the absolute best mexican food I ever had. The price was great for the amount of food you get. I will be a regular here, no doubt, and I recommend this place 100%. If you have not eaten here, you have got to go and see for yourself!!! You're welcome in advance.Kid-friendliness: Well, we were eating a couple of ladies that worked there, stopped just to make sure our 6 - and 2 year old were ok because their cheeks were red and then went on to compliment them. Also got them a refill. I recommend you have to go try this food!!!

Went here as a recommendation from a friend. He suggested the chili Verde. It didn't disappoint. The pork simply fell apart. The portions were large but not too much. I know this is silly but the salsa on the chips and salsa appetizer that they give you for free was really good. I would also recommend the horchata. The service was quick and friendly. Glad I went to this place.

I ate the food but it wasn't very good. I was hungry. My meat was freezerburnt. Seasoning was really good though. Beans were watery and rice wasn't fluffy. I liked the vegetables and sauce better than the rest of the meal. Tortillas and chips, salsa, all tasted good. Disappointed by the main course. I won't come back here next time. The service was fine no complaints.

Rarely am I disappointed with a Mexican restaurant in California. My wife ordered steak and I had a fajita, so it s very hard to go wrong with either, as both always taste great. However, what stood out about Olvera s was that the salsa was probably the best I have ever tasted (and I usually don t even like salsa very much). This made the tortilla chips seem like part of the meal, rather than a way to kill time while the meal is cooking. Also, the beans and rice had a noticeably delicious flavor. I was quite happy that we picked this place. If you go in the evening, though, don t be surprised if it looks closed from outside; the interior is dimly lit.

We stopped here for a quick brunch before we headed out to Death Valley and were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The complementary chips and salsa were delicious too and it did seem like the chips were fresh. They were happy to accommodate vegetarian preferences. The chili relleno was not too breaded as it is in most places. The rice and breads were great. I was not a huge fan of the vegetarian burrito as it was primarily roasted vegetable (zucchini etc.) inside. I should have asked them to add guacamole on the vegetarian taco as well as I m sure they would have considered it.I do want to mention that my friends who ordered the fish and shrimp options were really happy with their order.

Had the absolute worst experience here. They had messed up on my order and were trying to find any excuse to make it my fault so they didn t have to fix my order. After repeating myself multiple times explaining how it was their mistake, they finally offered me to order something new. Drove back to the restaurant for them to be rude and unwelcoming. The food wasn t great and their customer service was even worse.

The service was excellent, very prompt and friendly. The pork in salsa verde was delicous! The pork was very tender and flavorful. The salsa verde was perfectly spiced. The sides of rice and beans were very good. Dinner came with warm tortillas as well as freshly fried totopo chips and red salsa. The menu had many choices, including a nice a la carte section. I'm looking forward to trying other dishes in the future.

Stopped in on a whim. I ordered the extra large burrito for $15. I was pleasantly surprised when this ginormous burrito was presented to me. Definitely enough to feed two. I ended up taking half home for later.Parking: I had no problem finding parking.

Would give it five but needed a little more flavor. Othenic Mexican food. Tamales aren't made there. But have gluten free taco shells. Loved it price for today is good alot of food. Chips aren't good.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free taco shells. Tamales unknown made some where else.Parking: Kinda crazy one way street I think if not felt like it.

This restaurant surprised me. The place was very unassuming from the outside and a bit older inside, but the service was nice and I had a really tasty steak burrito for $8. You can definitely eat well there.
