New ownership obviously making the effort to make this sleepy little motel a great place to stay for any reason. Rooms are small, but remodeled very nicely, comfortable, cozy, and perfect for a visit to Death Valley and surrounding area. I interacted with with one person who basically runs/manages this motel and she is super easy to work with and very accommodating. This is not a chain motel, privately owned and none of the b.s. of a chain. To explain vaguely, I had a situation arise, and the manager was so nice to me and helped me out very much. Highly recommend a stop here if you are looking for great value. Also, a very lovely and rustic diner attached/adjacent to the hotel called Midway. Great option for breakfast or lunch for very reasonable price.

Friendly staff. My room was small but clean and appears to have been remodelled recently. Nice size and cold fridge. Microwave. Nice tv with lots of channels. No laundry on-site or nearby. Terrible wi-fi.

Great place to stay. Very good value for the money. Clean room and recently remodel. Past reviews are bad, but there under new management. Felicia at the front desk was very nice and very helpful. The have a little way to go, but very soon, there going to be one of the best places to stay in town. The only downside, no fresh coffee available . But I'm sure they will have it soon. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area. I definitely recommend this place.

Ignore any but the most recent reviews for this hotel. I d like to give it 4.5 stars instead of a full 5, but that s only because the new mattresses in the newly remodeled rooms are rather inexpensive spring types that my wife and I didn t find comfortable this was not a deal-breaker though, as we stayed one night and decided to return for another before moving on.The newly remodeled rooms we stayed in were perfectly clean and nearly completely modernized. We could smell the brand new carpet and see that all of the furniture was new and still in mint condition. The rooms are on the small side, but we only really spent the night there anyway, because we were there to see Death Valley and the Owens Valley for a day or two. The only things they have to replace would be the ancient minifridge in one room we had and the sort of weak heating/A/C units in the rooms but these still worked well enough to make the rooms toasty on chilly February nights. WiFi worked acceptably. Service from the front desk was excellent. Also, don t let anyone tell you how awful Ridgecrest is. It is a sleepy little town for families with work at the military base here, but it s plenty safe on weekends with a decent selection of restaurants. You can see mountains on every horizon, including the southern end of the Sierra Nevada. You re about an hour or less from Owens Lake, Lone Pine, the Alabama Hills, Red Rock Canyon State Park and the entrance to Death Valley NP. Since it s mostly military and contractors who live and visit here, weekend rates here are a steal if you don t mind the bit of extra driving vs. staying in Lone Pine or inside the parks you re visiting.

Our room was amazingly nice and well furnished. It was larger than a motel 6 room, and had a good-sized refrigerator, flat-screen TV, desk, and a microwave. Free internet connection was good. There was a separate sink and counter outside the bathroom, so one person could shower while another brushed his teeth. The room was very nice and very clean.

This place was the worst. Super small room .The bed was taking the all space. There was a huge frigidaire and microwave, but not table and chairs to be able to it. The room was having a weird smell, and the air conditioning was super noisy, could not relax or sleep. We left three hours later with no regrets. This is for everybody, do not book room in this place, is depressing and ugly inside and outside and to expensive for what they offer.

So from the outside this place didn't look the best but I can't praise this place enough on how amazing the room was. Very clean everything you need in a room aswell as a nice table to eat on aswell and to big comfy chairs. Amazing bathroom and a nice shower. If I were to say anything that I would want them to improve on is the tables outside. I don't want someone outside my window smoking at anytime in a non smoking room. But this would not change my stay I will be staying there again. Its located 39 minute from Trona Pinnacles. In Ridgecrest. Plenty of food places in the area aswell that are in walking distance.

Read the reviews before staying and many said it looked eh outside but inside was remodeled. Checked in at 11pm and definitely felt like a roadside motel. Staff was very nice though and the room was indeed fully remodeled with in-ceiling lighting and it was dimmable which ive never seen in a hotel before. For a quick 1 night stay before heading to Vegas it was perfect. Def recommend.

The decor of this motel is very far out of date. It is honestly like walking back into the 1960s, but you get cable. It was a nice place to stay after visiting Death Valley and the cost was right, but the bed wasn't all that comfortable, we could hear everything our neighbors said and for some reason when we came in the tv was uplugged. Other than that though we had no issues. It was easy to check in an out, and parking was easy.

If not the worst experience I've ever had it's certainly ranks in the top three when it comes to staying in motels or hotels. Not a dump but every room has something wrong with it. We tried six different ones before we finally had to settle for something that wasn't completely right. About the only thing I can say positive is that it has a cool shower. Other than that the place sucks.

Fine for the price, bed was more comfortable then it looked and AC strong. Only major complaint was the lady at check in repeatedly kept asking if we smoked (and we don't) which got annoying. If the price was right would stay again.

All I can say is ADORABLE!!!! The inside of these rooms is very well cared for. Gorgeous rock tiled shower, modern flooring and fixtures. Cute little sitting area. Very clean and kind/courteous people working the hotel. Highly recommend

Turn around! Don't go there! The outside may look cute but just wait till you open the door... Worst choice we ever made! Room, bathroom, bed way too small, not comfortable and very outdated. Carpet dirty- was afraid to walk bare feet. Was happy to leave asap.

Horrible. Bed bugs. No water pressure. Phone didn't work. The only good thing was the girl at the front desk. She was nice and helpful.Do not stay here! Ugh.

I called and was given a room price but when arrived she charged me more. This older lady was rude, implied that i was lying about who was going to stay in the room. It was just myself but over and over and over she kept saying, that's what everyone says" "i hear that all the time and find more people" asked and stared into truck insisting that "some of them are going into the room". Not good#

Clean, working AC, microwave and fridge, quiet, and decent enough beds. Is it the Marriot? Nope but you're also not paying Marriot prices. Nice little cafe right at the front for a solid non pretentious breakfast (cash only). Drug store, starbucks, multiple other restuarants, and grocery store just across the street. Solid inexpensive option

Newly remodeled rooms, very nice staff and absolutely the best breakfast at the Midway Cafe adjacent to the motel. Recommended by a Ridgecrest local, I was not disappointed

Better options in area for similar rate.Unnaturally high amount of mould and roaches, even considering the price. Bed sheets look like a crime scene with the blood stains. Painfully slow wifi.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The reviews state clean rooms and newly renovated but that is only SOME of the rooms. The room I received was supposed to be a double and according to the pictures on hotels.com it looked nice but that it not what I got at all! The bed was slightly bigger than a twin, there was mold in the bathroom, electrical wires taped together, what looked like pee on the door and floor, and the furniture was ripped. When I spoke with the front desk regarding the room being barely livable and not renovated she stated "NOT ALL OF THE ROOMS ARE RENOVATED and you get what you paid for" such a poor response from a front desk receptionist but I guess a poor hotel comes with poor service. So I repeat DO NOT STAY HERE! Spend the extra money to be in a hotel that is not a POS.

Worst hotel I've been in in a long time and I've been to a lot the bed was hard the TV was old didn't work properly there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room and there was a metal bar at the foot of the bed so if you want to try to jump around on the bed you're going to bang your head on it in the shower didn't get too hot and there was only one towel it sucked don't waste your money I'd rather sleep in my car than go there again and I don't even have a car

Useless staff. I called to adjust my reservations. A man answered, I explained what I needed to do, he said something I could not comprehend and then a lady magically was on the phone. When I said "hello?" I was greeted so kindly with a "what". I explained AGAIN. and she said she cant do anything.

This place is not what the web site shows, my room is small with old outdated furniture. The carpet seams are falling apart. This is more of an hourly motel than a suite.
