After being told my muffler shield hanging down, I went too MCR Muffler in Richmond. After looking at it, Jose told be I must of hit something(?), that it was ripped from it's bolt and hanging down! He said he can cut the ripped piece off, and bolt it back too the frame, quick fix. He charged me a fraction of the cost! Very honest and very reasonable. I would most definitely recommend this place too friend's and public Thank You Jose

Once again i went my favorite muffler shop. Today I received 2 mufflers for my dodge. Sounds good and work is always top notch. Thank you Liz & Jose. Keep up the good work

Took my a6 in there today and was pleasantly surprised with how friendly and professionally i was treated when asking for a custom exhaust. They brought my car on the lift and we went over options and pricing. I ended up replacing my mufflers with straight pipes and had them create and X-Pipe to replace my center resonator. 3 hours later my car is a whole different beast then before. I couldn t recommend this place enough. Will be bringing all my cars here from now on.

I brought my car to this place to install a system muffler to my vehicle Dodge Durango and when they brought it back to me it look good. But the the next day there was a burning plastic smell and you didn t installed it right and had to bring it back again but didn t work either. I brought it another place which they fixed it and said this place wasn t professional.

Owner cool guy family place . Always enjoy patronizing a family run small business excellent service fast NO B.S.great deal got a cage welded to prevent theft on my cateletic convertor.Excellent Professional Courteous will definitely be back for any auto repair or muffler needs Thank you!

Great place of business and I was happy to spend my money with MGR Mufflers. Saw the story on FOX Channel 2 News about catalytic converter cages. We're living in different times and this purchase I feel is a great investment.

I had such a good experience here. I called about a catalytic converter shield and they fit me into their schedule and made me a custom cage for my Nissan van. Superb customer service and friendly honest people. Highly recommend. And look at the shield they made!!

Mufflers and catalytic converters with no BS. Conveniently located right on San Pablo, they have a very eye-catching building color that you can't miss.Grab a coffee next door at the trendy Catahoula coffee house, or just admire their statue out front made from old mufflers.

Very bad customer service rude lady ...very rough with one customer in front of me he just said to lady estimate you tell me is little high..and she replied than go away I don't want to deal with cheap people like you....shop guy also very arrogant don't know how they run business I went there couple of time only 1 or 2 customer there that is reason no one go there...very bad experience

Liz, Angelo, & staff are wonderful people. Kind, Understanding, and truly cares about the customer. They are do not sell you parts that you don't need. Someone stole my converter and although it was near closing? They asked 2-3 very skilled & kindheartedness mechanic to come in and stay over to put on my converter caged. I feel safe again and very grateful. This is the place to come to to avoid converter thieves. Worth the money. Good people.

My car was all of a sudden losing power (on the highway!) where it would only go about 40-50 mph. Went to my long-time mechanic who I trust and he figured it was a catalytic converter issue, but with 3 built into my Subaru, figured it was a $3000 job given the current cost for parts (if they were even available).So I sought out other options and found Jose and MGR through Google. He was amazing. Was able to see me the next day after I originally spoke to him. With his support team, did a deep diagnostic dive to identify the source of the problem and what cat was causing the issue.Was able to find a great source for the part and had it fixed the next day at half the price I originally thought I'd have to pay.The quick timing was a HUGE bonus for me given my needs to have my car in time to take my daughter to school.As I said to Jose, you're my exhaust guys from here on out :)))Service: Exhaust

This place did a great job when they did my muffler delete. It sounds and feels great. The customer service was also very good and they made me feel welcomed by giving me lots of information about the exhaust system. The only reason I put the 4 star and not 5 is that I was charged 460 for this muffler delete (110 for putting the car up and looking at it, 110 for putting on the pipes and tips, and 240 for both tips.) I think that the first charge is unnecessary and shouldn t exist and the fact that they only had the very expensive exhaust tips was unfortunate for my budget. However, this place is a good business with skilled mechanics and I recommend you go there if you have the extra budget.Service: Exhaust

This company came out to be an amazing experience i bought a pick up lifted 4x4 already was invested in money and didn't have an idea of what shop to end up in but I wouldn't trade it for the world these people treated me like family I hope people have the same experience like I did thanks stuffs members

I moved here recently.from out of state and needed new Cats to be compliant with CA emissions.Jose and his team handled the work quickly and efficiently, as well as fabricating custom anti theft cages around both my new Cats.All done the same day and for a very fair price.Highly recommended!Service: Exhaust

I went today to see if I could have a muffler delete and a straight pipe/ exhaust tip installed on my sons 2007 ford focus. When I arrived late in the day (4;30 pm) I noticed a similar car on the rack that was undergoing a similar installation. They kindly started the engine and let me hear the new sound post muffler removal. It was perfect! .......The next thing I know, I'm headed off to their other shop (nearby) for exactly the same solution with a exhaust tip in hand. To my amazement the whole installation was less than 30 minutes.Every once awhile you come across people who truly believe in personal service and quality products and services. And smiling all the way through. I cant say enough good about this place... Will be back

After having my catalytic converter stolen from my car and wondering how to protect it from happening again... I was referred to Mr. Muffler/MGR Mufflers through social media. They were able to provide a security product to keep my catalytic converter from being stolen again. Their customer service was excellent and professional . I would highly and strongly recommended them to anyone else in my position.

What a lifesaver! Extremely helpful, professional and great customer service! Someone tried to steal the catalytic converter off my SUV. They used a saw and were unsuccessful but did a lot of damage. MGR was nice enough to fit me into their schedule. They welded the pipe and got me back on the road right away. Thank you MGR! 5 stars ***** !

I lived in Richmond for 46 years and have to say this is the best place to go for everything you need for your car. MGR not only knew what they were doing but went beyond their services to help get my car CAT certified and smog. They know more than other smog specialist to get my out of state vehicle smog certified for CA. I recommend MGR Mufflers.Service: Exhaust

Was referred to MGR by the Toyota Dealership in Oakland to repair my broken flex pipe in the exhaust system. I have an old Toyota Highlander and the pipe had rusted out, causing a crazy loud rumbling noise close to the engine! I m on a student budget and was told that these guys are the best and cheapest for anything exhaust related! They were right I was so well taken care of! MGR immediately took my car in, diagnosed the issue for free, and walked me through the whole diagnosis. They were 1/4 of the dealership prices and I m so so grateful to both MGR and the Toyota Dealership for such honest, awesome service. Hope to not be back any time soon; but if I had to, I wouldn t hesitate on using MGR in the future.

My car is lowered on coil overs. I been driving it like that for 4 years now. And it was time to do some repiping. I live like 5mins away from the shop and I figured I d go see what the hype is all about. How people be saying it s a good friendly shop. Anyways I went inand the guy seems nice but at first he didn t want to do business because my car was too low. And regardless if we do, do business he said it will get messed up again because the car is too low. I told him just to replace the pipe that s connected to the cat and from the muffler. To me it looks like a easy fix but at the end, he end up doing it for me. The price was reasonable. And it only took about 45mins. I was happy with the results. I would recommend this shop for people that likes in the 510 area.

Customer service is excellent, taking time to explain the repairs and everything. The service is awesome and clear and workmanship is high quality. They treat you with respect and greet you with appreciation, Try them out, give them your trust and your vehicle, you won t be disappointed.

It is a very good family business.Liz is the CEO and front desk girl.She is very polite, very knowledgeable and having all the customer service skills for her position.Jose is not just a very good mechanic, he is an artist on welding too.He rebuild my whole exhaust line from de exhaust manifold to the final muffler replacing the two catalytic converters.The guy from the Smog check where i went after Jose finished his job,was totally amazed .For a long time he did not see a 300.000 mile car having all the reading for emission test results single digit numbers:HC-9 and 3 and NO -4 and 2.Really amazing job done by Jose.Thank you Jose,thank you LizSince now, everytime I will need exhaust work for my kids cars ,or for my friends cars, this is the place I will come again with confidence.Mike MService: Exhaust
