Extra Space Storage suited my storage needs The location is in short distance from my residence and if I need to access my unit I can do so without having to drive long distance. The security gate made it easy for me to trust my personal belongings would be safe. The customer service is superb. I highly recommend Extra Space Storage for your storing needs.

I had a great experience. The owners were responsive and helpful. They communicated clearly and responded promptly when contacted. The location was secure and safe and kept our things clean and dry even during the rainy season. Would absolutely use their services again.

I just finished leasing and loading up a storage unit at this location. The operator there was extremely friendly and informative. I genuinely enjoyed the conversation and also his thorough overview of what to expect as a customer. The layout of the units is also extremely convenient no matter which option you choose. The unit was clean when I arrived and the facility itself was extremely well maintained. I highly recommend this location if you have any storage needs.

Great customer service. Was able to accommodate my last minute needs for storage as well as close out my account last minute. The gate automatically locks at 10 in the Richmond location. The manager went out of their way opened the gate for me after hours. 10/10 would recommend.

extra storage in richmond was a fantastic facility to store my belongings over the last year. it was clean, easy, and the people who work there are knowledgeable, supportive, friendly, and truly seem to care about what they re doing and the people they are interacting with. this made it a pleasure to be there.

This is a clean facility with helpful and friendly caretakers, Christine and Andre. Cleanliness is very important to me as I moved here after a traumatic experience with another storage facility company hwhere my things were ruined due to lack of care. At Meeker St. Extra Space,I regularly see Christine or Andre riding around the grounds in their golf cart checking the grounds or sweeping up hallways.Another bonus is a bathroom for customer use during office hours.I docked one star, not because of the storage space, but because I was offered a move-in deal, and after just 3 months, extraspace raised my rent 100 dollars, 2/3 of what I was paying.When I called Andre to explain I was moving to a cheaper facility he wasn t even aware of the price bump. When I went online extra space was offering a movein price of 84 dollars for the same size unit they now wanted me to pay 257.00.I highly recommend this facility, especially for 3 months or less, or maybe don t get the special move in price to keep price consistent.Again, I could not be happier with the service and cleanliness of this location. I would definately have stayed had it not been for such a large rent increase.

Both Andre and Christine are professional, friendly, and communicate in a timely manner. Initially there were no storage spaces available in the sizes I was looking for but Andre took down my info and both he and Christine followed up in the days after and let me know right away when a space became available. Christine walked me through the sign up process over the phone and we completed the contract via email while on the phone. Auto-pay and text alerts were set up at that time. There were 2 rental rate options and Christine explained to me which one would be better for shorter term rental (2-3 months) versus longer term (3+ months). An initial service fee ($25) and a monthly insurance fee based on estimated value of goods that will be stored are added to the monthly rental rate.The facility is easy to access off of the freeway. Parking spaces are available at the front office. The entire facility and property look well-maintained. The unit I signed up for had been cleaned and serviced already when I arrived to inspect it and pick up the lock provided. You are given an option for keyed lock or combination lock to secure the entry door to the unit.A couple of things to note: Make sure to look both ways when entering the property where you enter the gate code. There is an active railway line there (trains have 7mph speed limit there) and also be careful when opening your storage unit as the sliding latch mechanism might be a bit stuck and need to be jostled to move to the unlocked position as my unit s was. I cut my finger while moving the metal latch.Photos are of a 10 x 10 unit.

This place has excellent customer service from start to finish. Christine and Andre are top notch, super helpful and willing to answer all my questions without any high pressure sales. Highly recommend!

Best Public Storage In Richmond. Five Stars, I ve had many storage spaces over the years and when I pulled in, I immediately noticed how special this place is, from the super helpful front office management, to the cleanliness and organization, I really appreciate well run businesses. I really like the double gate entry, I ve never seen that before, it feels like an extra layer of security. If you live in Richmond and need storage, look no further.

Christine is fantastic. She greeted us outside and guided us with detailed instructions on where to go and how to maneuver (we were in a 40-foot straight truck). She answered all of our questions and was so friendly. Thank you, Christine!

Friendly and professional management who ensure the customer is fully aware of costs. The place is very clean and the managers are engaged with facility happenings. I feel my stuff is secure here. This is the best storage company with whom I have done business. 5 stars!

Chris and Andre provide excellent, friendly service at Extra Space Storage as the longtime managers of the Richmond (Meeker) facility. They put the needs of their customers at the forefront and are solution oriented. It reflects very well upon Extra Space Storage to have such caring, dedicated people as employees.

Extra space! I had an excellent experience with them. Andre and his wife are most helpful. I've been a van life for a while and the extra storage space is always handy. For me it was the ease of access ( no stairs or elevators) excellent location, and clean environment. I would reccomend them to anyone looking for storage.

I phoned in first to review availability and they were helpful but even more so when I arrived in person. Welcoming and warm, the ownership took the time to listen to me vent and reciprocated with a smooth and fast transaction of a rental space that fits my needs. Couldn t need anything more than that.

We just moved out after more than a year of renting a space here and I have to say that should I ever need such a space again, I d come back. Every question was promptly and kindly answered, the few times I went into the office, someone was there immediately to support, when the time to pay came up, we received friendly calls asking if we were planning on staying. All in all a great experience! Thank you

The whole process was very easy to follow and set up. The online registration was simple and user friendly. But the best thing was the staff at this location. When I arrived on site for the first time to pick up my key and visit my unit Andre called me right away to welcome me and to let me know that he was available if I had any questions or needed any additional assistance. After picking up my key from my unit I went in side to meet him face to face. She was very kind and generous with information. Thank you for making the whole process easy!

I actually enjoyed going to Extra Space Storage because I knew there would always be someone with a smile there to help me, whether it was not being able to figure out how to manage the lock or the door or the check-in procedure. I appreciated Chris's cheery voice on the telephone whenever I called.I will definitely go there again when I need a little extra space!
