Thank you, Linh for taking care of my car! He was the mechanic who asisted me from Ben s auto repair. I will be your regular customer from now on. Thank you for your business.This review is long overdue. Last Sept 2023, I was looking for a good mechanic since my mechanic from El Sobrante moved on. I had a check engine light on and had gone to Autozone for a free car diagnostics. Linh greeted me and assisted me and had shown to him some historical information needed for the repair. He was very attentive and told me he would get a quote for a catalytic converter. He called me the same day in the afternoon and gave me two quotes. Thank you for the options. Then he took care of it the next Two days which was Sat and by Monday my car was done. Not only that but I have asked him to also do car rotation and he gave me a free car rotation. You guys are the best. I am so glad I found you guys.Thank you for your business and your honesty. I also appreciate the efficiency and quality of the work. I am so glad I found my new mechanic. May God flourish your business.

I liked it so far. I was looking for a car repair shop with very good ratings. They are rated with close to 5 stars. The mechanic I met with immediately came over to me as I pulled into the lot and I left my car with him to do a diagnostic test. The time I was there he was very pleasant. I only gave 4 stars because I still need to get some actual repairs the mechanic said I would need, but I will return to them to do the repairs. The mechanic named Linh, his name was mentioned many times in the reviews as providing great customer service. He was the one who also assisted me.

I ve been coming here since I moved to El Cerrito in 2010. I don t take my car anywhere else if I can help it. They do great work. They do honest work. Their prices can t be beat. Most of the time I bring my car in when they open. Then I walk across the street to planet fitness and workout for a couple hours. These guys are great. Professional, nice, and efficient. I went in to get my CV-Axle replaced (I brought in my own part) and they installed it in less than half an hour. Good hourly price too. I received excellent service. All the employees that I interacted with were very amicable and professional. I came late afternoon to recharge my AC and I was out the door within 30 minutes. Highly recommend them!

Over the last 15 years I have taken several cars for repairs at Ben's. Most recently I brought in a Toyota my daughter drives and they fixed the car at a reasonable price. My daughter was quoted almost $2000 worth of work at another repair shop; which wasn't needed. Ben told me several things the car did NOT need repairs for. What I like is that this shop is honest and doesn't take advantage of me with repairs, because I'm a female. Honesty and professionalism is what keeps me coming back. Thanks Ben.

Heard about from a friend and kept coming back for the great service! Sergio and his team are hard workers that will leave you happy and your car in great condition. They give you what you need and even explain in detail what's going on with your car. Bens Auto gave me a great experience . Needed a quick oil change and a knock sensor replaced in my car so i can get my smog re-registered . Came in no appt they took me that day close to closing hours , despite a few cars in front of me , and had my vehicle back within the next hour and a half before closing . Would recommend Bens Auto for your repair needs.

I m not sure if other customers that gave Bens auto a poor review were at the same shop that I had my Hyundai Elantra repaired. I was very happy with the work performed in a timely fashion and the customer service in particular keeping me informed of cost as other issues were discovered. I will continue to have my vehicles serviced at Bens auto

They claim to work on hybrids. I was turned away twice. Once I asked to change my passenger headlight bulb that was going out. Another time I asked for them to replace/ repair my catalytic converter because it was stolen off my car from my house. Both times I was told to go back to the dealership.
