This shop charged me 250 for diagnostic and was unable to provide a complete diagnosis (they said it was a short, and could not accurately determine what was causing it within an hour).They requested authorization for an additional 2h which I declined. A general inspection was requested and I was informed it would cost even more if I wanted that.Another shop did a full inspection and a correct diagnosis for 198 (inspected brakes, suspension, lights, oil consumption, air filters).I can't speak to this place as a source of tire work, but take your repair work elsewhere.

My recent encounter with this tire shop has left me utterly dissatisfied, and I feel compelled to share my unfortunate experience. I obtained their tires through my auto body shop, and after just a month of driving, I discovered two nails embedded in the tires.Attempting to address the issue with the tire shop proved to be a fruitless endeavor. When I called to seek assistance, they outright refused to fix my tires, without even making an effort to examine the problem. To add insult to injury, they took the opportunity to cast doubt on my auto body shop's competence, claiming they "don't know how to fix tires."Following their advice, I went to the tire shop immediately, hoping for a resolution. However, my hopes were dashed when the staff insisted I drop off my car until the end of the day. Unable to wait for eight hours, I reluctantly agreed to return the next day.To my disbelief, upon my return, the staff dismissed my concerns without even inspecting the tires. Instead, they insisted that I needed four new tires and an alignment, a recommendation that seemed entirely unwarranted given the tires' mere 18,000 miles. This blatant attempt to sell unnecessary services raises serious questions about their integrity.Furthermore, I had initially informed them about the unique bow dip tires set by my auto body shop. Despite their assurances, it became apparent that their claims were unfounded, resulting in two frustrating days, wasted time, money, and fuel.In addition, I find it disconcerting that they not only refused to address the tire issue but also disparaged the competence of the auto body shop that initially set the tires. This behavior reflects poorly on their professionalism and customer service.In conclusion, my experience with this tire shop has been nothing short of a nightmare. Their refusal to address my tire concerns, baseless accusations about the body shop, and push for unnecessary services make it clear that this establishment prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction. Save yourself the trouble and opt for a more reputable option this tire shop is not worth your time or money. Good luck navigating the tire market, but I strongly advise against considering this place.

Juan did the job and buttoned it all up. On arrival I was presented with three price and quality options for my four tires for the Prius. Easy decision that he helped me with. Propmpt service and called to confirm pickup. We been going there for decades. Buy with confidence. True oldtime quality service.

I ve been here a few times for flats. Each time they were able to accommodate me within a reasonable time. They re very nice, honest, and helpful. I ve never had an issue with the work they ve done and their prices are reasonable. Definitely recommend them for tire related issues.

Place has been here 4ever, good service at a fair price. I came in w/o an appointment on a Monday morning n was taken care of n sent on my way in 2 hrs. Good selection of tires.

Juan was my representative who helped me they have done a wonderful job honestly I have this done before with many other tire companiesthese guys are just so professional I drove all the way from San Francisco to Redwood City and I will always be supporting this business from now on

Always had a really good experience here. Most often I have routine maintenance done up on my vehicles here and the staff have always been very friendly and helpful. I've even had some vehicle emergencies occur and Redwood General Tire has always worked to be fast and efficient at helping me solve the dilemma. Good work and good people!

I came here for a service a few days ago. First of all the technicians don t know what they re doing. The manager Andre was screaming at his employees right in front of customers. What kind of place are they running here. Will not be going here ever again.

Outstanding speed, customer service, and work space in the lounge. A++ would get tire punctured again.Update: had my tires rotated for free. It took about an hour but the lounge had great Internet speeds and I got work done. Would rotate again A++

Redwood General patched my tire up fast for $40 at Costco they insisted on replacing the tire. After the patch the tire lasted as long as the others.

They sell tires at premium prices. VERY expensive. Lots of overpaid staff. I suspect much of their business is government contracts so they keep those high government prices for the general public. The place next door does the same thing for less. I won't be returning.

Great prices. Friendly staff. Why two stars? See image attached to this review. I went here to get new rims and new lug nuts installed, no damage to the lugs... few months later I went in for tire rotation, alignment, and my lugnuts were damaged :( seems like the wrong socket was used. These are $200 lugs btw------------------------------------------------------------------Update: I stopped by the to have them look at my car, they determined that it was necessary to change out the lug nuts on the house. They understood, they were nice, and they were patient. I will continue to use Redwood General Tire Pros as my go to for tires, alignment, and other suspension related work.

I spoke to Alex over at Redwood General Tire about a set of tires for my 2020 Porsche 992 (911 Carrera 4S) ... he gave me a great price, but that's not why I'm writing this... his communication and his attentiveness was 110% .. then he (and his tech, Nick) did a first class, white glove installation on my car.. I watched the whole process from inside the shop and I would trust them over my dealer to handle my car... the wheels were meticulously cleaned after the install and the tires cleaned too... it was truly a factory look experience!

Very professional group. Dropped my car off for the day to fix a slow leak. Intake was a breeze with a pleasant person at the front. They called me when they were finished. I was running late to pick up at closing time; they called me and worked with me on pick up.

Redwood General always bails me out when I need it. I slashed a tire and they had the replacement in stock and fit me right in. Juan was friendly, knowledgeable, and looked up my last order to realize that my tire was covered under a road hazard warranty. I always save money when I use Redwood General and they do great work.

I usualy dont leave reviews but this time i had too, I was helped out by Kurt Boegner and he was and he was very laid back and profesional more like a friend not a salesmen, he suggested a tire for my 2014 Ford f150 supercrew cab and came up with yokohama geolanders , I went online to see what is the best tire for my truck and that was the same he recommended , he said it would take an hour and it took only 40 minutes, WOW all the other staff where very polite . I give this place 10 Stars

Was a great experience as always. I don't know squat about tires, but really trust these guys. They are patient with my questions and always give me a fair price. Kurt is especially amazing. Very nice, helpful and tells it how it is.

Ask for Alex. He was so helpful! I am telling everyone I know that needs car service to go there! He saved me over $700 on my tires, alignment, and battery on my Mercedes . I brought my car directly from the dealership to here to do the work. Thank you Alex.

My husband got his tires replaced here recently and the service was phenomenal. Booked his order online and the response was prompt and professional. He got the exact time he booked, which was very convenient. As for the service, the estimated time for the tires was 2hrs and they did it in 1. Their prices are more than fair and no other place could beat there prices/service/warranty. These guys are great and definitely coming here again.

I have been bringing my cars here for about 15 years. I love the fact that indeed the same front desk people there. Same guy has been helping me forever and it feels like personalized service. Wish we had more places like this with custom, old school service. Plus they are located an easy walk to down town RWC. Recommend that cigar store on Broadway and Main.

This is a wonderful place to come to. We have found everyone we have talked with the be extremely professional and knowledgeable.My husband was just there a couple of weeks ago. He had found a nail in one of our tires. He had initially gone to America's tires and they said that we needed a new tire. I am not sure why, but I believe they said we would need 2 tires. It was also going to be 2-3 hour wait. During that wait time my husband walked over to Redwood General. They would be able to get to it within 40 minutes or so. It also turned out the tire could be patched. So, we went from possibly spending $500 to $30 for the patch. Our tires are from America's Tires so we will continue to go back there for rotations since they are free. But the next time we need new ones we will be heading to Redwood General!!

These guys are great. Reasonably priced. Seems honest and trustworthy. How did I came to that conclusion? I sat there for about 2.5 hours waiting for alignment and tire work for my car. I overhead many conversations - they are honest about what customers actually need, and would advise customer if they don't think certain expenses are necessary. I heard a painful conversation where the guy was compassionately giving advise to someone who obviously badly need a tire fixed with very limited budget, and the poor guy's tire is already complete bare and way beyond its useful life. Anyway, feels like a old village shop where you are talking to people who actually cares.As for my own service, it went great. They installed 4 new tires for me from Tirerack, plus alignment work. They called me the day when they received the shipment, and got me in the next day. Also gave me a 10% discount on the alignment.

I had an issue with my scooter tire. I spoke to the alignment guy. The guys here helped me during their busy day. This place has an amazing crew. Next time i get tires it will be at this place.

We have been customers of Redwood General Tire for >25 years and have always trusted the service and appreciated the skills of the team. Our last visit (a few months ago) was not such a good experience as the desk person forgot to pay attention to the completion of a key service request (replace the brakes) and didn't realize the car was still in the queue until we called at the end of the day to pick up the car. The car had to be left over night and the work completed the next day. I hope the staff has become more knowledgeable and attentive to customer requests for service.
