Poor quality is an understatement and unprofessional. Went for a full exterior ppf, bubbles everywhere and was told by the manger (Ed) that the bubbles will go down in a few days.The ppf was cut horrible and not even straight. A few days later I brought the car back because some ppf was curling. The manager said they will fix it. The way they fixed it is to cut off the curling part instead of replacing it. I went back to requested them to fix but they kept pushing for a later day. At the end they just said your warranty is expired and refused to fix.They did not remove headlight, tail light and vent and all ppf did not wrap around the corner of the body panel. I went to another shop to assess the problem and they said it looks like jet black tint just placed the ppf on the car, cut it and call it a day. Shady business.

I contacted various Car Wrapping and window tinting companies in the Bay Area, and none were more professional and competitive in pricing. I called on a Saturday, and had my appointment Monday morning.I couldn t be happier with the PPF that was installed by Ed and his team on the front end of my car. Not only was the PPF work great, but they also threw in complimentary window tinting. Honestly, this is a great company offering great services in the peninsula! Thank you Ed!

Manager Ed was one of the most professional people I have dealt with. He was super informative and honest, making sure I knew what I did and did not need. I went to get tint removed. I saw a car in the shop getting tint applied and it looked awesome. The office was clean. I would highly recommend!!

Redwood City Jet Black Tint & Glass926 Broadway, Redwood City, CA 94063Dear Jet Black Tint & Glass Management,I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction regarding the service I received for my 2023 Volvo XC90 at your establishment. On August 16th, I brought in my car for a front windshield tint service. Upon picking it up on August 18th, I immediately discovered that multiple critical systems, including the collision avoidance, autopilot, and driver support systems, were offline. Upon consulting with the Volvo after-sales service, it was confirmed that these issues were a direct result of the front windshield film installation. Specifically, the sensor cover was removed during the process, leading to the malfunction of these essential safety systems. I made an immediate effort to address this with your store manager on August 19th, expecting understanding and collaboration. Instead, I was met with dismissiveness and an abdication of responsibility. The assertion that I should solely rely on the car's warranty, in this case, is misplaced and unprofessional. Not only did this jeopardize my safety, but it also has financial implications due to the voiding of my warranty for a problem I did not cause. I urge you to understand the gravity of the situation. An inability of a car's safety features can lead to catastrophic outcomes. Your manager's nonchalant attitude, suggesting it's "none of my business," is unacceptable. By this letter, I want to be clear that should any mishap occur due to the compromised safety features, Jet Black Tint & Glass will be held accountable. If this matter is not addressed promptly and adequately, I am left with no choice but to escalate my complaint to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR). Furthermore, I am in the process of consulting with my lawyer to ensure my rights are upheld. I expect a response detailing how you plan to rectify this situation. I have waited exactly 1 year to write this review, because I wanted to give a honest fair review and to see how the tints held up they look absoloutely AMAZING, absoloutely 0 bubbles and no fading whatsoever, they are a quality tint job with guys who seroiously know what they are doing and they very detailed in their work and dont rush through the cars(RUSHING IS HORRIBLE FOR TINTS ESPECIALLY !!)I can go on and on and on about how beneficial tints are but I will say these 2 things. people now adays are crazy on the road and may not have the best intentions and window tints provide that nice security to potential criminals or weirdos on the road. A quick story too because this shop uses quality carbon ceramic tint, it provides great visability at night(compared to cheaper tints) I was traveling northbound on el camino at nightime, when a driver accidentally switched lanes while I was in their blindspot, I was forced to swerve into oncoming traffic, and unfortunately there was a motorcyclist on coming, I was EXTREMELY close to hitting the biker in the oncoming lane, since it was nightime the other people on the roads lights were exremely bright, however, I still had plenty of visability to avoid the accident, if I did not have a 50% windsheild tint, I am CERTAINT I would of ended the bikers life.I now will instail tint on EVERY vehicle I own by this shop and I achually now find it irritating to ride passenger/drive peoples cars that dont have window tint. / reccomend getting your car done here if you are looking for the best quality and deals. Had a great experience with Jet Black Redwood City getting my tints done on a brand new car. Took a little longer than anticipated but it was the best tint job I ve seen so far on my cars. And if you are wondering if ceramic tint is worth, go for it. It will not lose color or fade, provide better UV protection but also resist the heat better, so bubbles are less of a concern. Heard about jet black Redwood city location from a friend that has done multiple cars there, i met Ed the manager as he greeted me with a smile, walked me to the office and showed me all of the options i have and i was shocked for how cheap the vortex ceramic was for the full car including main front windshield, it sounded to good to be true because it was 200-300$ cheaper than order stores yet same to better quality of the workmanship and customer service. I will definitely be here again :) thanks Ed!

I got my car tinted about 2 months ago and I was waiting to leave this review and say how happy I am with the results.As soon as I arrived Ed came out and we talked about my car and went inside. I chose the darkness of my tint and paid. Ed said it'd take about 3 hours and it took a little over 2 hours. Very punctual and professional. The tint on the car looks clean and high quality.When called to make an appointment they many many availabilities even though they were busy the day I got there.All in all good good prices for good tint.

WoW... my pedestrian Honda Civic went from zero to hero in less than one hour. Great work, great prices, can't say enough good things about the team here in Redwood City. Will definitely be coming back

Their service is no where near to being good, they broke my rearview mirror in the process of their job. The guy told me that he put glue and just tried to walk away after like he didn t care, I didn t receive an apology from them. After the job was done they had left their mess inside my car, there was a blue sponge on my seat, they left scraps of tape, and my passenger seat was wet (not sure if it was water or chemicals) I had to clean it myself. From now on I will not recommend that black jet tint location to people due to their lack or profession.

Avoid this place its a scam you'll get bubbles and a headache , got upsold for ceramic and it's really dark from the inside ive gotten ceramic somewhere else and never has it looked this cheap from inside I can't see clear in the night . Also would never recommend getting their online 99 special once you walk in they'll upsell you for more and obviously the customer wouldn't want a half job and to get a refund is a long process hopefully you guys loose business and have to move somewhere else instead of burning your name out try getting long lasting customers for future services instead of just thinking of the money 1 time I know 5 people who've came to this place and no one was satisfied I had to use a heat gun to get rid of the bubbles on my car, also got a hole in my tint didn't see it when I first got the car but noticed it couple days later

I highly recommend Ed and his team at Jet Black Tint Redwood City! They really go above and beyond with everything that they do. To give you an idea what they had to work with, they had to fix up another shop's mess up and I hate that I had to do that to them and just in general I hate bringing someone else's mess up for someone else to deal with but, Ed was super sympathetic and he even reserved a whole day to work on my car as it required removing all the defective tint done by another shop in addition to installing a full tint on the car including the full glass roof on my Tesla Model 3 Perfomance. Not only did Ed and his team do a spectacular job and go the extra mile with their overall service they also hooked it up on the price which they really didn't have to specially with everything that they had to deal with but they did it because they said they're not the kind to feast off someone's misfortunes and they never forget their main objective, which is excellent customer service. Again highly recommend these guys and I'll be sure to go back to them with my future cars.

Solid work! I've tinted every car I've owned, for the last 20 years (at least) and this is, by a far cry, the best tint job I have ever had. I will explain.In the past, every time I had my windows tinted, I had grown accustomed to water marks in my car that were not cleaned up. A few days later, I'd notice that, at least, one or more windows had deep scratches in the tint or the tint simply didn't attach completely in some areas. Not with Jet Black!Ed and his crew are extremely professional. I dropped off my brand new car, literally, on the way home from the dealer. It was 20 minutes old. I got it back in the exact condition I dropped it off, with not even a speck of dirt on the floor mats. The quality of the tint is flawless--not a scratch anywhere. The workmanship is on the same level and the customer service is no questions asked and here's why: When I picked up the car, Ed told me that my windows roll down a little bit, automatically, when I open the door and that I should watch for it. A few days later, this caused one of the windows to peel at the bottom. I took it back, worried that they would pass the blame onto me but that was not the case. Ed told me to hang tight--I gave him the keys--and 10 minutes later, he pulled my car up and said, "it's all taken car of."He also did me a solid on my wife's new E Tron a few months ago, but I'll keep it short and say don't go anywhere but here for your tint, PERIODServices: Sun control window tinting, Privacy window films, Heat control window films, Vehicle window tinting

Great product, price, and service. Ed and his coworker noted there was a defect in my side window of brand new car that I would never spot. They still put the tint on and recommended asking for a replacement under warranty that they would put a new tint at no cost. I got my window replaced in the following week and returned to get the tint. Ed made good on his promise and put me a new tint at no cost. They indeed put costumer satisfaction as a priority.Service: Sun control window tinting

I would give five stars for the window tint, but two stars is for my front windows being tinted and I didn t know it was illegal until I got a ticket. I returned it, and they were able to remove it in a timely manner for free.

Just bought my new car and you know I needed to but some tints on it ASAP. I called Jet Black Tint and they told me they had an opening right away. I came in and talked to Ed super helpful and friendly gave me all the information I needed to make the right chose. Loved my experience here. 10/10

This was a bad experience. The manager made tasteless jokes at my expense, was generally arrogant and unprofessional and kept referring to my husband as "friend." He wouldn't honor the price I paid online (he didn't know how to find my purchase either, he literally had to call someone on the phone to tell him to use Ctrl+F in an Excel sheet) and kept pushing sales. Finally, instead of canceling my purchase, he let it go through and now I have to go through the hassle of requesting and waiting for a refund. I hope I get it - they charged my card but never sent a confirmation. I would advise to avoid.UPDATE: Ten days later and several phone calls, my refund is nowhere to be found. The phone number on their website is no longer active, I found another one through my bank. I called and they say my refund is "in review." Still no email confirmation of any kind. Really, really bad experience. DO NOT PAY THEM ONLINE.

Very professional and personalized customer service. Jet Black Tint offered a variety of tinting at different quality levels. The service is provided by appointment only, and provide a clean, decent waiting area. I'm my case, the service was provided while I waited, because I traveled about 25 miles, and had no ride. I would recommend Jet Black Tint to family and friends, with the only caveat being that it can and will most certainly cost much more than the advertised $69.99 special.

Ed was very welcoming and helped me understand the different types of tints and their qualities. It can be intimating to get these things done so I appreciated it. They finished my tint job in about 2 hours and everything looked wonderful. Ed did warn me about possible water bubbles that will go away over time, which mine did take about a month but they did eventually dry out. I would 100% recommend this place to a friend and would differently bring future cars here!

It is very strange and confusing how it s online sell vs in store sell works. I purchased a pkg online from their website and the boss told me you are not buying from me what does that even mean? Then it is all up sell and random theory try to convince a person who works in automotive industry years like me why my vehicle is special so that my cheap pkg is not worth it come on, I don t even want waste time arguing these claims. Now I am sitting in forever refund process well, the business is there but I don t know why I am feeling so upset. AVOID if you don t have a special attachment, oh, or more thing, don t buy anything online.

Ed was super nice!! Very welcoming and helpful in explaining tints and all. Very understanding and truly wanted to connect with me as a customer. Made the appt a couple days ahead and waited about 1.5hrs. Not bad at all! It came so nice and honestly would recommend JBT to anyone. The online deal is so good too!
