My car s ignition failed and Jim G. repaired it quickly and charged a fair, reasonable price. Would like to also thank the Good Samaritan who helped in the Middlefield Costco parking lot who helped try to start the car, went home and came back to suggest making a new key, offered sound advice to order the part needed prior to towing to the repair shop and recommended Garrafo s, I hope you see this, thank you! Jim is a great guy! I find that he's trustworthy, fair in pricing, easy to talk to, and doesn't give people the runaround. I go here for my routine auto repairs and oil changes. Recently, we had a catalytic converter stolen from us. If you know the current situation surrounding these parts, then you know they're super difficult to find. I called Jim up and he told me to bring it by that day!! Fast forward a couple of weeks once our insurance claim was sorted out. Picked up the car and drove off today! We're incredibly grateful that Jim was able to find the parts we needed and complete the repair when most other shops will tell you the same thing. "They're back-ordered for months". Leaving us SOL. I recommend Jim to anybody in the area and will definitely refer my friends and associates to do business with him! Thank you so much for all your help, Jim! You really helped make this entire process with insurance go smoothly and saved us a headache. My car started making awful noises right after I d taken it for an oil change. Luckily Garoffo s is nearby, and he was open on a holiday Monday (when I was supposed to be driving for a ski trip). He diagnosed it as the transmission fluid having drained, and thereby saved me a bundle, and possibly from having to get a new car! He also fixed a broken clip on my fender which I hadn t even mentioned to him.

I've been taking my trucks to Jim for well over 10 years, and he and Wilson have handled everything I've thrown at them, including a rebuilt engine for my Tacoma which has performed flawlessly for four plus years. Not the cheapest, but not overpriced either, and absolutely reliable diagnosis and repairs.

Not a good mechanic, a GREAT Mechanic. A Mechanic's Mechanic! And on top of that, he's honest and nice. Was at Costco, and the car struggled to turn over. I immediately knew it was the battery, so zipped back in and got one. Thought how hard is it to replace a battery, but remembered Jim was nearby, so Yelped him, gave him a call, and he said to bring it in. As it turns out, for these Infiniti's, to get to the battery, it's a pain. But in short order, he had it swapped and I was on my way.Read my previous years comments about my experience with Jim. One of the best!!2/2018 I brought my Infiniti FX35 for an oil change prior to a trip to Venice Beach, CA. The brakes seemed a little soft, so I mentioned it to Jim. Then I walked a block to the Cocola Bakery to get sweets and caffeine and work on my laptop. A call from Jim saying the brake pads needed replacing-about an hour to complete. I told him OK, as I got more sweets and caffeine. Came by an hour later, oil changed, new brakes, all fluids topped, ready for a high speed run to LA (which went famously well-thanks to Jim)!!

I won't take my cars to anyone else except Jim at Garaffo's auto repair. I totally trust Jim's work and his ability to diagnose my car when I bring it in. And his pricing is so reasonable!

Excellent, honest, and very helpful. I tend to call ahead to make appointment for the cars, and he is very upfront about his workload for the day and when he will be done with the repair.
