Okay, I came to this place about a year ago or so to get my transmission rebuilt on my Ford Mustang after a failed replacement from another shop. They were able to get my car in and fixed it. A year later, my transmission starts having problems again. I called them and they said I was a few months out of the warranty and they were booked up, but they got me in the same day and decided to waive labor costs. This is the absolute best shop to go to for transmission work. I recommend them to all my friends and family and I know I can trust their work. They really do care about their customers and I'll always be coming back to them. Thank you so much Hartnell Transmission

Brought my truck in expecting to need a rebuild but they were able to get it back in perfect running order by a simple (and cheap) adjustment service. Really appreciated the service in the past with several vehicles and always recommend them to others needing transmission work of any kind. Honest, reliable and fast service.

They got my truck done fast i have a 1996 f250 7.3 diesel with a E40D transmission very professional people that work there, i use it to pull heavy trailer loads the transmission work great better than when it was new

My wife's 2008 ford edge SUV was banging into first gear, reverse and slipping in and out of 3rd gear. A phone call and a week later these mechanics had us back on the road. Drives like a new vehicle very happy with the service and quality of the work. Thank you Hartnell Transmission Crew!

They were awesome!!! It turned out that the issue was much more than I had anticipated....but STILL cheaper than buying/making payments on a used car. I will have to use SNAP finance for the repairs and they are not a vendor...however.. He recommended other shops that may be!!! And he didn't even charge me the $63 for the diagnostic!!!! We've dealt with them in the past, so we already knew they were great people!!!!!

Matt was very professional in our phone discussions, first of truck diagnosis and then repair. Honest and fast, the Hartnell crew got my F-150 out in days and saved me thousands that a less competent repair shop may have charged. Great shop with great people. Mark is super friendly, honest, and knowledgeable. Had my transmission rebuilt last year and it has been running great. My shifter recently got stuck in park so I took it back for a warranty claim thinking possibly it needed to be readjusted or something transmission related. Turned out it was a totally separate issue from the transmission and I needed a new shifter assembly all together but they still got it fixed it quickly and for a fair price and even gave me a free hour labor. Definitely will be returning for any future issues and recommending my friends and family. Great service! 10/10 would recommendService: Transmission

Hartnell Transmission was recommended by another mechanic when our transmission needed to be rebuilt. After reading all the positive reviews, we were confident that they would get the job done correctly. Aaron went so above and beyond to get out vehicle up and running it was astonishing. We had some major issues rendering our car useless at the time. Hartnell Transmission kept working on it until there was a solution. I'm talking three months of waiting for parts and chasing ODB codes. In this current environment of used vehicle prices through the roof and no new cars available, I'm so thankful they saved our car.

Super Helpful. Super quick. Super Accurate. Super Honest. I made an appointment to have my Transmission serviced. In and out within an hr. Earlier in the summer my Transmission was shifting too hard for my driving. Aaron came ouy. Drove it with me to figure out the problem. Reset the computer. And it drove great. Didn't even charge me. He just went the extra mile to be nice. I would definitely recommend them if you're looking for honesty and accuracy.

I took my commercial vehicle to Aaron at Hartnell Transmission. He told me I would have my truck back Friday. They actually got me done on Wednesday , so we were able to use it two days before he told me. They did a great job. Thank you, Aaron and staff!

Took a couple weeks to get in but worth the wait.These guys spent the time to look at my '58 pickup and at the end of the day determined that there was nothing wrong other than low fluid which they filled and wouldn't let me pay for.Excellent service and communication. I'm giving a one-star rating and I feel like that is almost being generous. The reason for that is that they "offered to replace the part they broke while replacing my transmission for free" my transmission still has knocking noises when I shift, and in several different gears clunks when I accelerate and brake. Said it was "safe" to drive,will not fix any other problems,when the noises were never there before. Worst $2100.00 I ever spent

These guys are great! Diagnosed my transmission right away. I brought it in before they closed, they had it rebuilt and cleaned for me 24 hours later. Very fast friendly service. Definitely recommend!

One stop transmission shop. Bar none the best quality and service. Great technical team. Fair Price's. And most of all great turnaround time. Something there might be a snafoo but it's at the excess parts out of the shop. Not at Hartnell transmission. Contact Mark. You can't go wrong.

I lost the transmission in my 2001 f-250 pickup. Took it to Hartnell Transmission for a quote. They got me in the next week, I needed the truck on Saturday and they, somehow , got it finished by Friday noon! Bill was exactly as quoted, with upgrade components, and works flawlessly!

Broke my transmission in the hot rod on the way to the car show. The guys dropped everything, threw it on a rack and did everything they could to get me back on the road. Then they didn't charge me because they couldn't fix it. Great group of guys working there. Very wonderful and extremely helpful. Thanks so much

These folks are great to do business with. They repaired my transmission in a timely fashion and were great communicators throughout the process. I was traveling from Washington State through Redding for Southern CA. I dropped my vehicle off and rented a car to keep on schedule. Upon my return, the vehicle was repaired when they said it would be for the amount they said it would be. I drove my vehicle 800 miles home and it runs great. They went above and beyond for my short schedule needs. If I live in Redding, I would patronize them exclusively.

Mark is such a great guy.Hard to find such real & trustworthy people these days. I 100% would recommend anyone in need of transmission work to use Hartnell with out a doubt.

Good service and reasonably priced. I took my Toyota Solara to Lithia Toyota in Redding. They charged me $120.00 just to diagnose my transmission fault code. 8 hours later, they try to tell me it will cost $3000.00 to repair the transmission or $5000.00 to replace. I said forget it and ate the $120.00 cost. I took my car to Hartnell Transmission and made an appointment since they were very busy. They diagnosed my car for free, and repaired it in one day costing only $600.00. The staff was friendly and helpful. I only gave this shop 4 stars due to lack of parking. I would definitely recommend this shop, especially since they don't try to rip you off.

Unprofessional. Took my car in to have some work done on the transmission. Got a call while at work that the driveline had a big dent in it so I left work early to go take a look at it and see if I needed a new one or if it was damaged beyond repair. Got there and the guy at the counter instantly looked irritated that I was there. I asked to see the driveline and the gentleman walked off with out saying a word. So I just followed to where my car was. What proceeded was minimal communication from him and very obvious frustration when I showed up. I wasn t called until after they had removed my car from the lift so he stated he was going to have to charge me more money to bring it back in. Overall a fairly unprofessional experience. The money or bent driveline wasn t the issue, but the lack of professionalism and communication is what will not bring me back. I simply wanted to inspect my vehicle of the said damage and the employee gave the impression he didn t like that.

They are good and honest people. Broke down over the weekend and they got to my vehicle on Monday and had me out the next day. Will referre everyone who has transmission issues.
