I thought there was a problem with my car but, it turned out it wasn't a big deal. They spent time checking my vehicle and researching but would not take payment for their time. They were friendly and able to reschedule when something came up and wasn't able to come my first appointment. I really appreciated my experience and will definitely be using them in the future.

I recently moved here and I am so happy I found an Ed s Specialties Auto Repair. I feel it is a shop I can trust. Customer service was excellent, I feel this shop is honest and pricing is right.

Mazda Miata and Toyota Tacoma. Ed's is the place I trust and recommend to my friends. I personally have seen them help people out who needed it, watched them not take advantage of someone when they easily could have, and they have always treated me with respect. One time they even spent time consulting with me and I was able to solve the problem myself AND they didn't charge me for it. It is hard to find a mechanic you can trust. This is the place. Great waiting room also, good magazine selection and in walking distance of the donut shop by Safeway.Services: Electrical repair, Oil change

I have done business with this family and their business for the better part of 2 decades and change. They care about their customers and are very involved in the community. Their estimates are honest, repairs are thorough and there is always a warm smile at the door. Some mechanics recommend things good for their wallet, these folks recommend only what you need to help your Honda run longer. They have helped keep my 94 civic clear 400k miles and just keep running, as well as nearly 250k miles on my 05 Accord.

I generally work on my own vehicles. That said, I feel that at Ed's Specialties Auto repair, he has been fair with pricing and clear on repairs are the fix or start to be able to diagnose the vehicle further. I was recommended his shop through word of mouth. The small business has treated me well, and I plan to continue using them when I'm not able to do my own work.

Just wanted to thank everyone at Ed's for helping me out on the fly. On Friday my 2008 MDX lost it's serpentine belt at some point on the highway and I'm visiting the area from out of town for an interview.They were happy to work on my car asap next week, and I agreed to have it towed over.After the tow and after inspection the shop was able to order a new belt and promptly install it before the end ofnthe day so I could get back on the road!If that's not great customer service idk what is.Thanks to everyone at Ed's and I will be back for all my future maintenance once I move to the area.ZachService: General repairs & maintenance

Ed's is the only place I'll take my car (Hyundai Santa Fe) now after being screwed over by another place. The owners here really helped me out when I needed it with my old car. When I got a new car, they were able to check it over and tell me what was needed and fix it all up for a good price. Recently got an oil change a few days ago and it was super fast. I thankfully was referred to Ed's Honda over 20 years ago. Their exceptional customer service and knowledge have kept me and my family coming back all these years. They are very ethical and really know cars. We have always felt secure knowing our cars were in top running condition, which for me was invaluable considering I often worked alone in very remote areas. I have used this business for 20 years and would go to no other place in the Redding Area. They have overseen the maintenance and repair of my Honda, and three Toyotas. Always fair in price and excellent workmanship. Travelling cross country in RV towing a Honda Fit. The Fit was making unusual noise from the drivers side. Ed's Specialties was booked solid, but agreed to take a look. They diagnosed the issue as the front tire separating. Great experience with them.Many thanks to the team.

I have been going exclusively to Ed's Specialties for 20 years! Ed's have been able to keep me on the road and have always been honest with me. The work they have done on my vehicles has been exemplary. I've never had to take my vehicle back in for something they didn't repair properly and I have never been taken advantage of. For work they don't regularly do, they provide excellent referrals. Ed, Cathy, Curtis and Amanda are very knowledgeable about all aspects of vehicle repair. By far the best experience. Extremely trustworthy, quick and efficient. They treat all vehicles as their own and complete all tasks with a sense of pride and ownership. We ve now taken 2 separate vehicles (1 Honda and 1 Toyota) both have left the shop in pristine condition without ever showing signs of whatever they were taken in for. I would recommend Ed s to anyone!

This local family team is wonderful and trustworthy. I used to take my car to Crown Honda who would give me lists of expensive/devastating repairs. Someone reccomended Eds for a second opionion at one point and my $1,600 estimate at crown became $600. Also, multiple repairs needed by crown motors in fact did not need fixed and Ed explained what and why. Appreciate knowing I won't get ripped off and he's kept my car running perfectly!

We have been going to Ed s for 20+ years and trust the work they do on our vehicles. They explain what needs done and help with a timeline to get work done. They use high quality products and have our vehicles ready when they say they will be done. Small family owned shop with fantastic service!

Ed s Honda has been taking care of my vehicles for over three decades. My husband would often get annoyed at me because I would only consider driving a Honda as I would not leave this wonderful Shop. Happily, since Curtis has taken over after his dad, Ed, retired, he has branched out to include more than just Hondas. Now he is working on both my Honda and my Kia! I wouldn t go anywhere else!

These guys came highly recommended to me and I am so grateful. I am now on my 3rd challenge with our Honda Pilot and every interaction has been straight forward, upfront and honest. I have been telling other Honda owners that this is the place to go!

I have been doing business with Ed's Specialties since 1987 when I moved here. Needless to say, they do an excellent job or I wouldn't still be going there. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great, reliable mechanic. They wanted to argue and cast blame when I checked my oil after an oil change and asked them to top up my oil to the full line!It got so confrontational I just had to leave and buy more oil elsewhere after just having paid them to do this!It is true that they were kind enough earlier to squeeze me in when I showed up 30 min later than scheduled, (I thought we had scheduled it later and they did not call to ask me where I was...).Honestly, the bad attitude and very poor response to my wanting the oil at the full line was really surprising. The mechanic even wanted to argue that I didn't know how to check the oil or that a very slight slope in the parking lot was the problem...Customer service is only really revealed in difficulties, and I can't rate them higher than a 2!

I have been going to Ed's for 4 years. I have been through several other shops in the last 15 years with my imports. I have been run around, had bad troubleshooting that has cost me extra $. This guy is though, has a sense of responsibility and fair responses. Trust me...I know. The front desk is friendly and accommodating. He gets it right fast!

Somebody recommended Ed s because they were fair and honest. True to the recommendation, Amanda was extremely helpful and gave me accurate information, timelines, and estimates according to parts and labor. I sent my housemate to them this morning and will send any other Japanese car owner their way.

I have a 91 Accord Wagon. It has nearly 350,000 miles on it. Thanks Ed! These folks are sharp. They KNOW Hondas/Acuras. I m a Home medical courier, and my car is my livelihood. Thanks to the fine manufacturing at Honda In the early 90 s, and a few Pick-me-ups from Ed and the crew, i have a dependable vehicle thats 29yrs old...okay one was a pretty serious pick me up. They were taken aback by the rusted battery when i pulled the car out of mothballs, after i gave my newer car to my kid. And that wasnt all that was in need. But here we are, 3 years and 150k miles older, since they worked on it. I take it across mountains loaded with dialysis fluid, and supplies. Like a champ.

They Really know what there doing! I have had 2 cars there so far both fixed @ a good price.
