Lovely park. We were there at the end of the season, so few campers. Plastic tables and fire rings at every site. Level, landscape sites. Ideal location on Avenue of the Giants! Only 1 women's and one men's shower, but clean, spacious, and nice. Clean bathrooms (single man, single woman). Immortal tree and nice photo ops at camp check in and store. Convenient store next door.

A super nice quiet RV Park right in the middle of the beautiful Redwoods of California. Long level FHU pull through sites, with trees. Along the side of the park they planted blackberry bushes and they are full. They also have plum trees..I got a couple. Nice showers and bathrooms and had a laundry on site. Spent 3 days her and every day went out exploring the area and the Redwoods.

A hidden gem, very clean and quiet RV Park right off the Avenue of the Giants off 101, 15 minutes from Fortuna for supplies. So much to see and do. Also, the camp host Eddie and his amazing dogs Axle and Bella!! What a treat.Nearby activities: Avenue of the GiantsNoteworthy details: On the avenue of the giant's

The park is OK, bathrooms could be serviced better. Wi-Fi in and out to power outages for a day means no water stuff are good, camp post is great. The owner has some weird quirks, which probably do better if he stayed home, let us stuff run the show.Incredible location.

Very nice well kept park. Roomy level sites with easy access. Awesome gift shop and good general store. Very quiet with scents of the redwoods. Nice ride on Avenue of Giants to get there. It does get warm heading up from the south but cooler in the park. Full hookups with 50A and room for big class A s towing. Not much to do there but relax. You need a tow car or come with a TT and use your truck to sightsee. No AT&T cellular but good WiFi. We stayed before and after visiting the Ferndale dog show.

What a wonderful place to camp in Redcrest on Avenue of the Giants. Dean, Susan, Rick, and the entire team are such kind and amazing hosts. We just love it here. The spaces all have full hookups with fire pits and views in every direction. They also have onsite restrooms and laundry facilities. You must have a satellite dish if you plan to watch TV, although they do offer free WI-FI. The gift shop is also one of the best around and offers a wide array of gifts and custom creations as well as cold refreshments. The Immortal Tree is also on site for viewing, and there is an abundant amount of trails and activities nearby.Highly recommended.

This place is a GEM! Beautifully taken care of, nice spaced out sites, the employees are all very friendly and the little store at the entrance has just enough stock of necessities plus a huge gift shop with fantastic carvings, photos, etc. It's only 5-10 minutes to get to a great spot to see the giant Redwoods, and only 45 minutes to Centerville Beach with gorgeous views and rocks to collect! Big rig friendly, we are in a 46ft fifth wheel. No power or water issues. The FREE wifi they offer bc phone signal is non existent, is awesome and works great. 10/10 recommend!

Nice basic quiet RV park. Spaces are paved and level with full hook ups. Beautiful trees. They called the morning of my arrival to tell me my site number so we could pull right in when we got there.

This is a great RV park. Check in was so easy. Drive way and all sites are perfect blacktop. Our rig and trailer is 68 feet long and we were able to easily pull into our site (#44). This park is located about 1 mile off the 101 on the Avenue of the Giants. Much to see and do in the area we stayed very busy for 6 nights.

The bathrooms are very clean as well as the whole park. Showers were not open so unable to comment. There is a laundromat which I wish I would have used, but didn t. Walked in them and they are very clean also. The sites are leveled cement. We didn t need to use our levelers. The staff are extremely nice, helpful, and accommodating. Their gift shop is worth exploring. Definitely would stay there again. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay. The owners, maintenance man, and camp host were so kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond to help us coordinate a special delivery.Full timers in 43 foot fifth wheel who stayed 2 weeks in April. We had a spacious pull through site on the far end of the park, which we loved being able to see the trees out our windows. The hook ups were great with 2 water spickets and sewers. Wifi worked well.Laundry and bathrooms were clean and I saw them being tended to daily. No showers. The grounds were well maintained. Each spot had a table and fire pit. Firewood for sale in the gift shop. The gift shop has minimal supplies, and the closest grocery store is Safeway in fortuna 25 minutes away. There aren't really any restaurants in the area either. So, come prepared. You are right off the avenue of the Giants, which is a beautiful drive. It was a great home base for exploring Humboldt state park and the avenue groves.Enjoy! Thanks for a great stay!!

Love this park. Full hook-up on cement pad right in the Redwoods. Decent sized sites, majority are pull-thru. It was more than we typically spend.Nearby activities: Avenue of the Giants. Drive-thru trees. Humboldt state park. Ferndale.

This is a beautiful, quiet RV park! The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Each site has a good amount of space, with a fire ring and a table. The gift shop has a variety of items to choose from. We will most definitely visit again!

Perfect location to see the amazing Redwood forest along the Avenue of the Giants. Easy, no-contact check-in but their store is open if you need anything. Spaces were large and the Wi-Fi worked great! Best we have had actually. They even left a candy-filled egg on Easter morning which was such a sweet gesture. Thank you!

Ancient Redwoods RV park is a 10 star!! This is not a resort with a pool so don t expect it. It is a fantastic park right on Avenue of the Redwoods. The camp hosts do a great job manicuring the park. The store is the best on the avenue. Just know that there is NO CELL SERVICE. It s not a big deal. They have WiFi. You do have to buy data, but they give you several for free. Electric was spot on 120v but water pressure was a little low at 35psi. We will definitely stay here again. It s quiet and the sky at night is amazing. This is by far the darkest RV park we ve ever stayed at night. This park is now in our Top 10 and we ve stayed at hundreds of parks.

We enjoyed our stay at Ancient Redwoods RV Park. Check in was a cinch. The spots were nice, easy to get into/out of; Wi-Fi was decent for my husband s work while on the road; and it was close to the things we wanted to see in the Redwoods Parks area. We would recommend to friends and would definitely stay again if our travels took us out in the area.

This was by far one of the most peaceful and beautiful RV Resorts we stayed in. The park host was helpful and the staff were friendly. All of the facilities were very clean and the gift shop offers very unique local art. With its location directly off of the Avenue Of Giants, there are many trailheads very close by and the hikes are astounding! There was zero road noise and fantastic views of the night sky. Each site has ample space, full hookups, fire pits and a table. The grounds are meticulously kept and gorgeous. Being you are located in a slight valley there is little cell signal, however the park offers a remarkably adequate WiFi connection. You are provided vouchers for its use upon arrival and the length of your stay determines the number of vouchers you will receive. So if you use your WiFi calling on your cell phone you can circumvent the lack of cell signal. The resort is reasonably priced for how much it offers. Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed here in April 2021. It's a great location on Avenue of the Giants with lots of things to see. The park is quiet and clean, amidst spectacular redwoods. Nice store with lots of wood products from local artisans. Bathrooms and laundry were closed, due to Covid.

It looks nice, but missing some charm. Maybe it was that the showers were unnecessarily closed for no explanation. The resident manager could have smiled a bit more. Wish there were scattered throughout. But on the positive side, it was better than most parks for the actual pads and hookup. I loved that they told us which site to go to and we went directly to it without having to stop and check in.

(9/5 & 9/6/18) Ricky was so friendly over the phone and assured our reservation was in the computer, he made sure to ask if we needed a satellite friendly site (park is surrounded by trees). When we arrived everyone at the gift shop, where you check in was so very welcoming and all was as he stated. This park and all it's facilities is very clean, with spacious sites for big rigs. There is a large covered area with cell phone booster, as the rest of the park doesn't have cell coverage, again- think trees. The gift shop has some of the best selections of redwood souvenirs of all kinds along the "Avenue" Seeing the competion, and for the location, this campground's price for a campsite is very reasonable! Definitely will return!

Location can't be beat for the California redwoods experience. Campground is neat as a pin, on the small side, and best for smaller groups. Fine for kids, though best for adults as there is no playground. Due to Covid restrictions, we weren't able to view the restrooms or laundry as they were closed. No criticism there but I took a star off since they are unknown to me. As a more mature person I appreciated the cleanliness and quiet surroundings. Will come back again for sure !

What a completely positive experience through and through! I have stayed here a few times and love it. The overall check in process is as easy as can be, just give them a call and if they have space, they'll take down your name and that is all you need to do. The rest you can settle on site with them when you arrive.Very clean bathrooms and full hook ups with easy drive in drive out. It's one of the few places located right in the heart of the Avenue of the Giants. Getting amongst the Redwoods is as easy as crossing the street. They even have the Immortal Tree on the park! There is a little shop on the grounds where you can get the essentials, including snacks/beer/wine. Priced fairly too, not the rip-off price you might expect given the lack of other options close by. The owners of the park are more than willing to offer great tips for what to do and see around the area. If you are looking to pick up quality Redwood work, this is a great spot. They have everything from live edge tables made from Redwood burl -- all built on location -- to vases, coasters, utensils and more. I recommend a walk through the shop a few times!Very happy with this place and would recommend to anyone planning to pass through the Humboldt area!

We loved this place!! Easy to make a reservation & super friendly, helpful staff! Nice, clean, large bathrooms and showers. Located on the avenue of the giants makes for convenient viewing of all local stops. Fresh seasonal berries kept the kids busy & happy. Paved, large spots and plenty of room to maneuver large rigs/travel trailers. Only improvement would be a picnic table. Very, very spotty cell reception.

I regularly travel for work from Gold Beach, Oregon to Petaluma, CA. I overnight half way and have stopped at almost every RV campground from Orick to Benbow. Ancient Redwoods is my hands down favorite. It s clean, quiet and secure; very well maintained. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for a one night stopover or a base camp for redwood adventures. It s the best!
