It was a simple task. It was a simple oil change. I recently discovered this while doing the same thing myself. They put a plastic ring on the drain plug instead of the copper washer that was supposed to be there. I also found that most of the screws securing the under cover were gone. I consider myself fortunate that my vehicle has not had any problems so far. Because after that, I moved across more than half the continent. I don't think this has anything to do with the boss and his wife. They are my friend's friends and they are good people. But they should seriously consider the honesty of their employees.

I just moved back to Cali recently and needed an oil change, well before I get a chance to get it done my check engine light came on. They were very helpful and gave me a great deal on the work that had to be done. I'll definitely be keeping them as my mechanic.

The business is incompetent. I called Monday morning for an oil change and they canceled me twice. I had a Groupon I wanted to use which complicates things further. Next time learn how to schedule properly so won't waste potential customers time..twice in a row.

They claim they have a good deal, yea to scam you out of more money. I've used various Groupon at other car oil change places and the most I may ever pay additional will be the taxes. Here they tried to charge me $36 on top of the groupon and they say it's because the labor isn't included in the deal??? I've never ever heard of this. Scammers, they are nothing but unethical scammers. Take your car elsewhere. I will be reporting to the BBB as well.

Took my Hyundai in for some maintenance and a brake job before I left for a vacation. Jasmine and Andy took great care of me! Communication was very direct and to the point, which I appreciated. Also, the service was completed the same day with my appointment, and the work was very clean. It even surprised me with how thorough they were with the initial inspection. I will recommend it, and I will be returning here for repairs. Thanks, Andy and Jasmine!

You cannot respond back to the owner s comment. To the owner: You can continue to comment back to all the 1 s reviews, and keep telling yourself that you were not in the wrong. Instead of offering quality customer service, where you pay if you passed, due to it being not ready. Instead you only care about nickeling and pennying people. And no one wants to do business with these kind of people, untrustworthy. Take a look at how many 1 s reviews do you have!!! That can only mean that your business is totally unethical. You are a scammer, scandalous, and very shady. All the review with 1s speaks for itself.Beware of this place!!! This is the most unethical business in the world!!! They will do anything, literally anything to make you pay for more things that you don t need in the first place. Can t believe people like you are allowed to do business. Absolutely worst customer service in the world! Can t be honest, shameful you! My biggest regret is not researching how horrible you guys really are, and I want to help others now. Worst auto shop around town! Do not go to this shop, they will scam you for more money

I like to support small business and have been a previous customer of KBs for oil changes. My last visit they said I needed to change my timing belt. I told them I would address that issue at a later time because they quoted me $2500 and I wished to just get the oil change in the mean time. They REFUSED to change my oil UNLESS I paid the $2500 for the timing belt issue. I WAS IN SHOCK! I took my car to a Toyota mechanic at the dealership where they informed me my timing belt was perfectly fine! I have never been refused service for not accepting a recommendation. It saddens me but this place is money hungry and that seems to be more and more common. I wouldn't go here unless ur trying to get ripped off for work u don't need.

I first found out about this place through an ad in the mail. I had a check engine light, so I decided to come here. They figured out the problem, explained it to me, and had parts ordered. They are knowledgeable and quick. They were also very kind to me too :)

Replaced bad control arms and strut tower parts.Mike s doctor degree in science is helpful when we discuss repair plans.Also note that my tire balance was was way off normal range(Pic 3) , because the previous shop didn t remove old weights before applying new one. Off by a quarter is consider unconformable to ride and my car was like experiencing earthquake at 70mph.

BEWARE of coming here, the owner here is unfriendly and disrespectful, a cheat and a liar. He will do anything to not provide any service to you, but yet only care about collecting money for doing absolutely nothing. How can you didn t call that service. Such a shame. It is a hassle dealing with this person.

My car was left with this shop back on 3/14/2022 and just barely received my car back on 4/19/2022. I had to wait for an hour and a half, very frustrated. What was even more frustrating was the owner (Mike) who was the one taking sole responsibility of my Vehicle avoided me the whole time. He would avoid taking my calls or constantly make up lies to buy more time. This is by far the most dishonest Businesses I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Beyond my car being in this shop for over a month the car was never fixed and in fact my car accumulated more damage upon my retrieval. The air conditioning no longer works and theres Transmission Fluid leaking. I was refused service to have it repaired. Mike lied not only about how fast my turn around time to have my car back which would have been 3 days after the car was brought in on 3/14/2022 but he lied about the cost. I was quoted $1,700.00 initially which led up to $3,500.00. I was ignored numerous amounts of times I called and asked to speak with Mike and have been hunged up on. Don't do business here!Services: Transmission, Electrical

(ecit bc I cannot reply) !!BEWARE UNETHICAL COMPANY!! I got a Groupon for an oil change. It is extremely difficult to schedule appointments here as they will only schedule appointments for the week of starting on Monday and have extremely limited availability to do oil changes. When I was finally able to get an oil change at the end they tell me all my fluids in my car are low and that they can refill them for a few hundred dollars. I tell them I'll wait so that I can check with my family. My family and I go and check my car fluids ourselves and they are ALL FULL!! This place LIED and tried to SCAM me out of HUNDREDS. DO NOT go here for anything they are LIARS who will take advantage of people when given the opportunity.I had no issue with you all until I found out I was lied to about the fluids. The oil change was fine. The disposal fee was fine. The EXTREME difficulty to make an appointment was irritating but I could get over it. You are right I did not pay hundreds of dollars bc I double checked myself and found out I was lied to. I literally have the paper work in writing with what services were incorrectly recommended to me. Maybe it was not you who wrote this reply this but a lady who is employed with this company did say my fluids were low and they could replace them for a few hundred dollars. I will never forget this bc I do know so little about cars and when my dad helped me check and I saw with my own eyes that what I was told was false I could not believe that I was almost taken advantage of. Gave this place a try after recieving an ad in the mail made an appointment to come in for an oil change. The staff was quick and attentive and didn't try to upsale me on unnecessary things or work; prices are extremely fair.

Purchase a Groupon for an oil change and the owner denied my repair for conventional oil on my 3.6L. I ve had the car 3 years and no problems using many different shops. Poor customer service telling someone to go find another mechanic and that he won t honor Groupon purchase.Reply to response: none of this was explained in person. You immediately told me you won t do it and to go find another shop within 20 seconds of talking to you. Had you been professional and articulated this I would have agreed for you to perform the service at additional cost.

I just purchased a 2009 4x4 navigator for long out of state ski trips. I had just left the dealer for a recall repair. I had an error code regarding my coolant temp. They said it was fine. Brought it to KB before my trip to Utah and they caught a thermostat failure in my engine. If I listened to the dealer , I would of overheated my engine once I got to Vegas! KB saved my suv and all future ski trips! Great shop!!

SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK So before making my decision to recommend this place to my Family, Business Associates etc.I wanted to find out if they did my Oil Change correctly. Please reference the picture shared in this review.When an Oil Change is done you DO NOT use force when replacing the Oil Plug and Washer; it is supposed to be torqued hand tight and no tighter.Prior to receiving an Oil Change at KB AUTO REPAIR The Oil Plug and Washer were brand new on my vehicle (the washer was not warped. ) and my Oil Pan in optimal condition (not scratched in the area of the warped washer).KB AUTO REPAIR, thank you for your response on September 10th to the review I submitted.As for it taking me two months for me to investigate if the oil change was done correctly is because I had not reached the recommended mileage for an oil change. As professionals you should know that.

I had a 4 o'clock appointment got there 5 minutes early the staff Mike took my information then they took my vehicle in and with in 30 or so minutes later my vehicle was done.The staff was very mice, fast and great price for an oil change for my SUVI will definitely return for more and for future oil change and other vehicle maintenance and work.Thank you Mike and K & B mechanics for job well done.

It's a black shop. If there is a small problem, the owner and store manager of this shop will deal with major problems, and they will charge more than $1000 for repairs every now and then. This shop uses discount coupons to attract customers, and then deliberately checks out the problems. Then threaten customers that it will be very dangerous if they don t fix , don t go, you will be cheated

I initially got my rear brakes changed on my first visit. I was so happy with the work that I brought my car back to get my front brakes changed as well. Prices are great and they work really fast. The staff is very friendly! The lady working in the front is super sweet. They have a waiting room in front as well as space outside. Definitely going back for future maintenance.

I took my car to get brakes and rotors in February 2022 (was trying to save money and it was too much at the dealer). After I got my car back my brakes were giving me major problems with squeaking, grinding, and not breaking correctly and my breaks were feeling worse than before I brought the car to KB. I took my car back again and again explaining the issues that I was experiencing to Mike giving him time to rectify the issue and I was very exhausted talking to him. Mike is fixated on what happens with the automotive industry and dealerships trying to give history with analogies and metaphors about other vehicles and not accepting responsibility for the issue with my breaks. Mike showed me a box with breaks after all my complaints as if I am supposed to see a box and know what is inside (a box is not proof of new breaks!!!) I went through all this back in forth from February through June 2022 and I could not fathom how an entire auto shop with mechanics were unable to make sure a simple brake installation was done correctly. After all that I asked for a refund and Mike adamantly denied my request, stating that he does not feel he or his mechanics did anything wrong and offered me store credit, (so disrespectful) and wanted me to bring my car back to be assessed on a machine....But why would I do that after trust is broken ?.... It took all this time and I had to take my car to the dealer to do what KB should have done in one job. Mike is unprofessional on so many levels. I tried to call him regarding the last incident and he never called me back. I waited four days and finally called KB again and he told me if I would have contacted him I would have got my money back, punishing me for dealing with the professionals at the dealership and Mike never acknowledged that I did call him to notify him of my issue but it was him that ignored my call. I explained to Mike's mechanic that I had an issue and I was going to request a refund but Mike did not have any intensions on calling me back or giving me a refund it was my actions that initiated the communication not his. I will never take my car there again! His conversations were insulting to my intelligence. Put your race track shoes on your car and bypass KB Automotive!!! Mike is dishonest and combative.Service: Brakes

First time here today. Came in for a smog check had a coupon but the regular price is even good. It took about 25 minutes and passed. Everyone's friendly. My bumper is off and I was asked if I would like to have it fixed. I was given an amazing quote. I will give them another try if I ever need work done on my car. Definitely recommend this place...They also have free coffee and cookies... Thank you

Stopped by here since they were down the street from another smog station that refused to honor a competitor coupon (despite advertising that they do honor them).Kindly asked if they'd be willing to honor the coupon. The lady at the desk gladly did. I also had a few questions before the test, and the tech I spoke to was knowledgeable and gave me clear and concise answers. There was a slight wait, but I didn't have an appointment, so my fault. Just glad they accept walk-in's. Thanks again!

Only 1 friendly and helpful person there too bad I can't remember his name! But I do remember the Rude people Jazmine Miguel/Mike and some other middle Eastern person who were Sarcastic/ Rude and arrogant! Not friendly at all! Took almost 2 weeks and 3 trips to get an alignment done because I had a coupon. I felt discriminated because of the coupon! They looked down on you. Will not be coming back here again.

I've been coming here for years but this last experience is what made me leave this review. I usually just come for oil changes through Groupon but recently went in for 100k scheduled maintenance, oil change, brakes, and some parts replaced. They broke down the service items on the invoice line by line in layman terms, didn't try and push a single service on me, and helped me make an informed decision. They worked with me on the price and made sure we made a deal that I wouldn't have buyers remorse about.They followed up with me on the phone the second day of the work to give me a progress report and an estimated competition time. Efficient, personalized, and professional service is what you will get at KB auto. I honestly don't know what more you can expect from a mechanic, or any business owner, period.
