On a recommendation from a friend, I made an appointment with Precision Automotive. I had a lot of maintenance to catch up on with my 2013 Honda CRV at 209,000 miles. I asked for a complete diagnostics of the vehicle, and shortly thereafter, was presented with the good, the bad, and the ugly of what I was facing. Grace Thomas, Service Consultant, walked me through the results with no hard sell or fear tactics during the review. The Honda certified mechanic documented with photos all the issues and recommended services. The unexpected amount of work was going to take all day. To my surprise, Grace offered a loaner vehicle at no charge. My car was ready at the time promised, and after test driving, it felt like it was ten years and 75 thousand miles younger! Additionally, Precision offers a 800 number as part of their guarantee on parts and labor in the event of trouble down the road. You get what you pay for. And with Grace and her team, that means quality work, clear communication, and peace of mind.

First-timer and I'm very happy with the service they provided. I received photos and videos of issues my car had along with explanations of what needed to be fixed right away, and what could wait. Prices are good, much better than any dealer, especially with genuine parts. Great service at a great price. I'll be back.

Several Dodge dealerships told me that they can't make an appointment for months and that they would need my truck for several days to take apart the entire front of the vehicle just to diagnose where the coolant leak was. I happened upon Precision by luck and made an appointment for the next week, only a few days away. They had the leak located in about 90 minutes, without dismantling the entire front end. It was fixed by the end of the day. When the replacement part failed, August went above and beyond to make it right by loaning me a vehicle (I live far away). August also took care of a small issue free of charge. Now that is customer service. It shows that the people working at Precision care about you and your vehicles.

I found out that my car's air conditioning was not working on a Sunday before I had a long trip planned for the following Friday. Grace was able to get me in right away and the technician was able to diagnose and repair the system that same day! They also did a thorough inspection of the car and made recommendations for future maintenance to avoid costly repairs. Eric and his team are excellent! I highly recommend Poway's Precision Auto Repair! The diagnostic testing they offer is top-notch. My job is traveling to 5 Emergency Departments in San Diego. My safety is a priority getting to work. After another shop failed to diagnose my car properly, they got me back on the road after repairs from the diagnostic test. If you're in need of honesty, integrity and great mechanics, call them!

Excellent experience from the first call to the completion of the job and the follow-up communications. I asked them to check out the transmission due to shuddering and loss of power; they diagnosed it and determined it was the plugs and coils. They did the repair, prioritizing it that day even though they initially did not have space for an appt., and everything runs great now. A very professional team! Poway's Precision Automotive was the best place I could've gone to. I was preparing for a cross country trip and wanted the care to be in top shape to be on the road. They were able to get me in quickly and took great care of my vehicle while it was there. They got a few things that could've gone wrong on the road and checked with me before fixing them. I've been looking for a trustworthy mechanic since moving to SD just under 2 years ago. Not only did they provide a thorough list of the "health" of my car, they didn't pressure me into any decisions around which, if any, I would chose to tackle. We take all of our cars to Precision Auto simply because they are the best! Eric and August always take good care of us and we know we are in good hands. In a time where its hard to find honesty and integrity there is never a worry if they're going to do a good job. Drop-off, grab a loaner, wait for the report and its done! After buying my 2012 Toyota brand new and spending the first couple of years getting maintenance done at the dealer, I became disenchanted with them and somewhat mistrustful of some of the things they were telling me. It was at this time that my son recommended Precision Automotive, so I decided to give them a try. That was nearly a decade ago. At first, they were tiny and service was very personalized. They always took the time to answer all of my questions and explain things to me. Since then, Precision has grown, but it has not lost that personal touch. Everyone in the office, even their receptionist, Grace, is knowledgeable about automobile issues and more than willing to answer questions and offer advice. I was thoroughly impressed with the service and the link they sent with their findings after doing a thorough inspection of my car. I only went in to diagnose an A/C issue that other shops weren't able to find and it turns out it was a severed wire behind the glove box that I was able to fix. Poway Precision Automotive is the best. I have a Jeep Rubicon that a jeep dealership installed a new engine and manifolds. They did a terrible job, and Precision had to rectify their shoddy work. Rectify they did! Between Grace and Jim, their master technician, my jeep now runs like new. Always, they kept me informed of what was required and the cost. Immediately, they took the jeep in and began work. While the work was being done, they furnished a courtesy vehicle. I was referred to Precision by a friend that had work on his old vehicle. He was very impressed. From now on, all my service will be done by Precision. They far surpass the service provided by two jeep dealerships that I have used in the past.Service: Engine repair

Honestly, my experience here was nothing short of amazing!Eric was very thorough, informative, and provided me with lots of education behind my vehicle's issues from what I assume is from his many years of experience. I had taken my vehicle to two dealerships prior to get it assessed and both failed at identifying what my car needed to continue to run. Eric was the only one who helped me out, answered all my questions, and provided me with comfort that my vehicle was in good hands. Excellent service. Even took care of a spark plug issue that came up after estimate at no extra charge to make sure car would not have any issues. Very professional and focused on doing the job right. Transparent on charges.

I was looking for a shop that was honest and would give me a fair price, with no unnecessary stuff tacked onto the bill. I found it with Precision. They were open and responsive and did the work quickly and correctly. They worked with my schedule and were very pleasant. Grace in particular was very helpful and kept me informed. I highly recommend Precision, and I'm glad I found them

Came in because my car was making a loud whirling sound, I suspected the wheel bearing needed to be replaced. They inspected my car and gave me such a thorough report. Way better than even my dealership. They found the wheel bearing was bad, also noted a few other things that should be repaired and/or monitored over time. They never pressured me to fix everything and were actually extremely helpful in preventative maintenance. They sent over a link with photos and info on every part of my car that could use work. I ll definitely always come back and love that I can trust them to tell me what s going on with my car!Service: Oil change

Awesome shop, Took my car in to get my AC fixed, Eric provided a maintenance inspection for free and took the time to explain the things he found and the importance of each issue, strictly informative and absolutely no pressure to make a decision on any of it today. They provided me with a complimentary vehicle while my car was in their shop and I got my car fixed and returned to me within the same day. My AC works better than it ever has now. 10/10 would recommend this shop to everyone!!!Service: Air conditioning

I needed to get my car smogged to be able to get my registration. Eric explained the options and ran a diagnostic test. It was decided that the catalytic converter wasn t working and needed to be replaced. Eric determined we needed to replace it and found other issues regarding software updates from the dealer. It was my first time at Poway Precision and I was impressed by their experience and professionalism. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends !!Service: Auto exhaust system repair

If I could give ten stars, I would. It s very hard to find an honest automotive repair shop.the shop is very spacious and VERY clean. The moment I stepped into the shop, I was warmly greeted. The check in was quick and a loaner car was provided. I received a text with a copy of the invoice with findings during the inspection that included pictures of a small slow oil leak and a couple of other things wrong that will eventually need to be attended to. When I picked up my car, everything was noted on the invoice of upcoming repairs. Everything was explained very thoroughly. All my questions were answered completely and in a way that I could understand. I highly recommend this automotive shop for all your car needs.Service: General repairs & maintenance
