This is the place to go! So quick and easy. The guys here with take care of you without hesitation. I even witnessed them going over time to help a customer out who had just bought a brand new car and had been looking for a smog shop for miles! Genuine people with fast and accurate service!

Fast, convenient, professional service at reasonable fees. They are open Saturday and Sunday. Provide a free retest in case you have an unhappy vehicle.Used to get it done at Rick's, now he retired. This will be my new place for smog checks of my vehicles.Keep up the good work!

I have been here since back in the day in the 2000s when I had my 1996 Accord and now I m back with my 2010 Camry (and many family cars in between).It s the OG Smog place in Poway. It s kind of hidden on Pomerado Road tucked away with a bunch of other automotive businesses.Service was quick, friendly, knowledgeable. The waiting area was clean, had hand sanitizer, water, magazines and AC to keep you cool.Roger and Jay was super nice and made me feel comfortable. Sometimes going to a car place as a female can be overwhelming but they made me feel right at home and I was in and out in no time. Highly recommend this place.

Purchased a company vehicle from out of state. Googled and found this local Smog shop. Called in, my phone call was answered immediately. Asked about walk-ins and employee immediately asked for make and model of the vehicle and welcomed me in.He needed any paperwork I had (which if you dont have paperwork is okay too). Asks for an ID and gets started.I am actually disapointed in how FAST he was. I was looking for a fun down time event to watch some Hulu while waiting. I didn't even get through a whole episode of Schitt's Creek before he brought my vehicle back around and printed my paperwork.He provides the certificate in hand. Honored a discount from a coupon I found online and sent me on my way.I've spent a longer amount of time in line at a 7-11 than I did in the waiting room at this smog shop. Excellent service.

I always dread the DMV registration notice that says SMOG Check Required but after visiting Poway Smog Star Station I will procrastinate no longer! Roger was quick, friendly, knowledgeable, and honest and delivered exceptional customer service that exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be back with my family s cars when they are due to be smog checked.

I was quoted on the phone; $40.00+ out the door for smog certification. The actual charge on my credit card was nearly $60.00, no breakdown of details given.The attitude was gruff by both people that I talked to, NOT a place for a SENIOR to go to.When I called for a correction of the charge, I was given a callous you have to come in. The old rule of many fish in the ocean; applies to smog checking stations as well.In retrospect, the place actually felt to me like a shady operation.Service: Smog certification

The team at Poway Smog Star Station was so accommodating. I brought 2 vehicles in at the end of the day & they couldn't have been more considerate, ensuring they would get the vehicles tested before closing. I wish I would've asked my technician for his name, because he was the nicest guy. I will definitely utilize this facility for future smog testing.

Brought my car in and the shop was wide open, but there was no one at the counter, no one in the shop, no one came to the counter when you rang the bell, no one picked up the phone. Finally saw a guy asleep in a chair way at the back of the shop, so I shouted at him a couple times and he still didn't wake up, so I gave up and left. Last time I tried to come here, they were randomly closed on a day their schedule said they were open. Can't really rate it highly when I've simply been unable to get my car checked here.Service: Smog certification

went in for Smog in June. It said they were permanently closed. Had to call KN to get a serial number for my cold air intake so someone could do the inspection and did not plan on going back since it said they're permanently closed and there was a number on the door for the smog place by big lots or something. However, went back to this place by happenstance since the name of these smog places are all similar in Poway and got it confused for somewhere else. They were open this time and were able to help me. This place has a new owner apparently but they are still fast and efficient as they were from my experience a few years back with the previous owner.Service: Smog certification

FAST Service. I had another shop tell me 1hr. No thanks, I was in an out of POWAY smog in 15mins. Roger was very friendly. I will be back.

The service was very friendly and welcoming. I made an appointment just in case it would be busy or not. I arrives about 25 minutes early and they took my car for smog check right away. The amog check itself took about 5 minutes. Overall, friendly customer service and quick service done as well.

This place was awesome. In and out in about 15 minutes. Passed my 2002 Ford Expedition. Tip: Drive your car about 20-30 minutes (variable speeds. Freeway then residential) to give it a good warm up. Don't drive it in cold. Make sure to bring in a hard copy of the coupon... It's about $11 off their regular price.

Quick, efficient, friendly... what else would you need when you're getting your Smog checked? I was in and out within about 15 minutes. Front office staff was a pleasure to speak with, and the gentleman running the smog was putting in great effort to move things quickly. Would definitely recommend and come back!

Fastest smog check ever. I was turned away three times from a different place. But when I went here within 8 minutes my check was done. Great costumer service too.

Hello, I usually do not put one start comment, but for this place I cannot give more than one star, they wasted my time for half an hour and came back to me stating that car came from Canada and they cannot certify while my car has been in California for more than 6 years and has DMV registration, this place also did smog certification for me 3 years ago but this time they just decided to not to do it, I took my car to another shop just couple of blocks away and they did it in 15 minutes. I do not recommend this shop at all.Service: Smog certification

I called ahead. I was told 2 cars there. I showed up 15 minutes later. Waited 15 minutes as a repeat customer they had my information. Test took about 15 minutes. Friendly Fast Efficient DONE!

Edith is great. have been doing all my checks at this place (2 cars rotating every year). very fair in price. i didnt have my coupon and she honored the price i was charged before. good place with good people.

Took both mine and my daughters car in within a couple of weeks of each other. They were prompt and very nice. Would recommend them to anyone. Fast and friendly service!
