This place did some last minute help on our car when we had issues with some internal stuff. Not many folks are willing to work on smart cars but this place took great care of us. They also had some pretty cars on display! Highly recommend.

They are a relatively new business. I was referred by my tire shop to them for a front end alignment. Everything went smooth. They were friendly and even jokers a little bit. I will use them again

Told me he could have the job done in 2 hours so I drove from Julian and he told me 3-4 hours! That's just bad business Richard! And I even tried to set up an appointment and was told "no, just drop off and 2 hours".Why would I trust you to touch my car when you just lied to get me here?! Yuck. No ethics.EDIT: I was there within the hour that I called. You do poor business. The man(probably you)never apologized to me. Just put the phone back to his ear and started talking in another language. I,as a customer, was not a priority. There for a $ 200+ brake change! You are not meant for customer interaction and you scammed me to get me into your shop. No one with 3 kids hangs out for 4 hours for a rear pad replacement. No one!All I can say is that folks need to pay attention to these reviews! The newer ones are bad. And often include the same name...Richard.

Hey guys just wanted to stop by and let you know about my experience at brake and auto repair in Poway. Dori and tony have great customer service and were really helpful with the repairs I needed for my car. They educate me how worn down my brakes and rotors were and told me I needed new ones. And also I needed an alignment. Dori kept it real and honest with no pressure which is hard to come by with auto shops. So I decided to get me car fixed there and I was really happy with the job they did! Brought my other car that needed brakes done as well and yet again another great experience. I ll definitely be back for any other repairs I need for my cars and I definitely recommend friends and family to them here in Poway .Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brake service & repair

As a first time customer I am very happy with the service I received today. I like the online inspection report with the pictures explaining the problems. Even big name dealers do not do that but charge double.The cost of the repair was very reasonable and good quality. The staff is very friendly and works to your satisfaction. My car was ready 15 min before the promised time.I was looking for a decent auto shop in town and I am glad I finally found one. I highly recommend this place! You will not be disappointed.

Update: After a unhelpful phone call with a district manager, my daughter took her diagnostic sheet to 3 other reputable shops in our area. All agreed that the items addressed would not cost more than $700. Original post: My college-aged daughter had concerns about her car's brakes, did some research, and decided to take her car to Brake Stop Poway with a coupon. They diagnosed the vehicle and verbally recommended that both front and rear brakes and rotors should be replaced for over $1,100, despite the diagnostic sheet stating that this was "non-urgent" and noted that she had 6mm of pad left. She tried to explain to the mechanic that she is a college student and asked if the repairs could be split over time. He responded to her rudely and dismissively, telling her that "it just doesn't work this way". She declined the brake repair and took her Dad with her to pick up the car. Her father was treated with warmth and respect and my daughter ended up paying $95 for the brake inspection while�others around her were being charged $80. Needless to say our family will never bring any of our vehicles back here. Honestly, it is hard to say what bothers me more; the fact that they tried to get her to have work done that is not urgent or that they treated this young woman so disrespectfully. Oh wait, I do know what bothers me more!

Don't ever come to this place. Richard is unprofessional, and will rip you off! He had my car for 6 day! Told me he's unable to complete the diagnostic without completeing a fuel injection service. Ignition wire, and ignition coil for $739.64. Per Richard if fuel injection service doesn't work (take care of carbon build up from sitting so long) then a fuel injector is needed. I had my car towed to where I originally wanted it towed the man fix my car in one day. All needed was ignition wire set. Charged me $169. The car had no carbon build up. Richard was trying to scam me out of $739.64 plus whatever the cost would be for a fuel injector. Cause you know the fuel injection service wasn't going to work.If your AAA tow driver tries to talk you into towing your car to Brake Stop don't do it they are all in cohort together.

Be careful. The guy Richard is a scammer. I brought my vehicle in for a suspension issue. He guaranteed what he finds will fix the issue. Paid $170 for diagnostic fees. He blamed it on the tire. I went to purchase new tires even though there was at least 50% tread remaining and the problem was still there. He told me to bring the vehicle back after I called him. This time he said it was the rear axle. He tried to charge an arm and a leg for the repair so I asked him was for the diagnostic receipt and he couldnt provide me with another one unless he charges me for another diagnostic fee. How is that fair? I was actually calm about it until he got upset. Why couldnt he provide a document saying it was the axle causing the issue? I m warning you to stay away. Brought our RV in for service. Richard took all our info and gave us all the information up front. He checked the brakes, repaired the AC and replaced all 4 shocks (The RV was rocking back and forth while driving, now, no more rocking) and checked all fluids. RV was done in a day, very fast turn around. Richard is a pleasure to work with. The team here is committed to customer service and excellence. They are open on 6 days a week, have a very welcoming attitude, coupons on their site (you can print out or use your phone to redeem them,) and they will even make you coffee while you wait. The service I had done here was efficient and affordable. They even offered me a deal on diagnosis as well as on labor. It's rare to find a service shop where every customer is treated with respect. Make this your #1 stop for auto service!

This shop did some major repair on the breaks of my 2003 Toyota Sequoia without diagnosing unnecessary work diagnosed by another shop. I liked their honesty, and friendliness. Their fees are reasonable, and their warranty is mush better than the dealer. I have since taken my son s car and my daughter s car here for repairs and maintenance. Brought a CRV in for brake service. Car has always been serviced at Honda dealer but now it is our daughter's car so I was hoping to save some money by using Brake Stop instead of Honda. The manager was very friendly and pleasant to deal with. They sent a detailed web page quickly that showed and described the issues they found and work they determined was necessary. 4 new rotors, pads and brake fluid flush got the estimate into 4 figures. I passed on having the work done as the estimate was well more than double the price of the last brake service that was done at Honda. The brake inspection was free even though I chose not to have the service performed at Brake Stop. I respect Brake Stop for not charging for the inspection.I took the car back to Honda dealer. Their estimate was less than half of the Brake Stop estimate. Honda turned all 4 rotors (not new rotors) 4 pads. Honda did a free multi-point inspection that determined the brake fluid was fine.I'm not commenting on the accuracy or truthfulness of the Brake Stop estimate; rather, I'm stating that I got two brake service inspections/estimates -- one from Brake Stop and one from Honda, and for obvious reasons I had more trust in the Honda estimate. I will mention that Honda provided *free* Lyft rides from/to the dealer and a car wash.It helps to know the available options before accepting an estimate. Don't be discouraged from checking around from multiple inspections/estimates and checking with dealerships. If the Brake Stop estimate (and work) had been close to that of Honda I would of had the service done there. When a dealership can do the service for less than half the price you'll be happy you did the research.

On 11-29-- Richard looked at the car and stated the price is $189.00 for the pair of Brake Pads and to turn the Rotars and if they cannot be turned, $100 for each Rotar, including installation, plus tax. He then said, you get a 3 year warranty, where you hear any noise, bring it back, you do not pay a penny, it is replaced for free. He said with a hazardous waste fee, the total price will be a little less than $400, plus tax, out the door. So I said, I agree. He told me the procedure is, he does a brake inspection, which includes pictures and a report emailed to me. The brake inspection is free if you have a service. Since I agreed to $189.00 for the pair of Brake Pads and $100 for each Rotar, including installation, plus tax, I said okay. They started a brake inspection, then Richard fraudulently pulls his Bait and Switch and tells me that the Rotars are $109.00 each, the brake pads are $79.00 each, yet he now wants to charge me labor of $169.00, plus a $10.00 cleaning fee. Since he did a bait and switch on me, as the price is now $545.00 plus tax, I told him, I do not deal with people like that, you are doing a bait and switch on me. I said I agreed to $189.00 plus $100 for each Rotar i.e. the total price will be a little less than $400, plus tax, out the door as you represented to me. He then held my car as hostage unless I give him $79.99. Also they never emailed me pictures and a report as represented. ALSO I FOUND OUT LATER--RICHARD MISREPRESENTED THE WARRANTY

Mechanic Tony always goes above and beyond to find and repair any issues on our families vehicles. After taking taking the valve cover off and repairing the valve on my sons car he realized another issue. Without hesitation and without charging my son to take the valve cover off again he repaired the issue and once again only charged for the part and not the labor. Will ALWAYS bring my families vehicles here first.

This is one of those garage's where you just know you are going to get ripped off. Prices quoted were really high compared to dealerships and the owner/mgr was very impatient in explaining his pricing. He gave ranges for pricing.....and you could just tell that you will end up paying the high-end of those estimates. Do you homework and check out other reputable brake shops or dealerships.

This place was terrible. The owner was rude and overcharged. He was barking orders at his guys. Zero manners overcharged us past estimate by almost $200. Ridiculous.

This is the only place I will take my vehicle. I have a shuttle bus and I had a oil leak and he repairs the leak and told me if I have any issues to bring it back and he would fix it for free. Well a couple of weeks later I got a new leak, not the original leak, he took care of the new leak for me at no charge. Saying that the free oil change I was due he put that towards the repair of my leak. I have to say the manager is an very informative and honest man.
