I had a wonderful experience with auto body excellence. My car was vandalized while parked by my work overnight and I was devastated since it s brand new. This shop was recommended by my insurance USAA, and it was conveniently right down the road from my house way out in Ramona. Jeff helped me out, and he was so validating with the damage to my car and assured me right away that they would make it look brand new. They contacted Enterprise and had someone there waiting to pick me up when I dropped off my car. They said it would take about 6-10 days and it really only took about 6 which was super quick. Even when I had an issue with the plug to the control module getting left out, I brought it right back and they popped it back into place right away. I know people have bad experiences, my husbands car was just stuck at another shop in Santee for almost a month, so it was such a relief to take my car to a shop that knew what they were doing in terms of vehicle repair and customer service. Thank you for keeping your promise and restoring my car to its original glory!

Avoid at all costs. Our car was hit by another car late last year, and our insurance recommended Autobody Excellence. The car has had problems ever since. They cracked our windshield when reinstalling it. They did a messy paint job. The suspension is messed up. They ordered incorrect parts for our side mirror and instead of ordering the correct parts, they just broke pieces off and glued it to the mirror. Our passenger door came back very obviously hollow inside (the one problem they fixed). Thankfully a different shop is now going back and fixing these issues.

I have had work done there twice and referred someone as well. Jeff has been honest, fair and goes above and beyond to make sure things get done right. Jeff and the team at Auto Body Excellence have my back when my car takes a whack. Yes, I'm a real client that has had a great experience.

When I first showed the car to get an estimate, I was told it s a brand new car so we would definitely need to put a brand new door, and it shouldn t take longer than 7 days. I said okay that s sounds great. A couple of weeks later they email me all parts are here, you can drop off your car. So I go to drop off my car and I ask you guys are going to tint the window too correct? Because all of my windows are tinted. He said no we not touching the window, and I asked how long will it take to be done? He said no longer than 7 days. So 7days pass they say it s not ready we need another week. Now its been 14 days they say another 4 days I call them to see what s going on because THEY DONT LET YOU KNOW. They said we tried fixing your door but it s not fixable so we trying add a new door but wasn t that what they we re supposed to do in the first place? And then he said but it should be ready by friday. I call again on friday if it s ready, now he says due to issue with paint booth (the roofers contaminated the filtration system) and has caused issues with the paint on several cars. We are currently redoing the paint and will have out of the booth late today and will be to reassemble on Monday. So just imagine my frustration. First they say brand new door and say less than 7 days but then ends up being fixing the door and ends up being 18 days! And the day I picked up the car It s not even fixed properly. You guys took almost $4k and not to even have fixed the car properly. This is the worst experience I ve ever had. The workers are nice and all but they do not do what they promised. I attached one of the mistakes drivers door vs the passenger door that was the brand new door they attached.

My expierence with Jeff Borja, lacks communication and people skills, no follow up, no follow through.A company is only as good as its people. No matter how big or small a job.Auto Body Excellence has broken their trust with me and won't be getting my business afterall.Good ridance!

Autobody Excellence is the place to go if someone steals your brand new 2020 Infiniti Q50 Red Sport Carbon Fiber Edition, takes it on a joy ride and gets into an accident and does $10 ,000 worth of damages. I had a pretty bad accident in the rainstorms of January 2023 , I was recommended by USAA & a couple friends to go here. I have a car with some special considerations and although some shops turn away cars with aftermarket parts, AB Ex was open arms. They were incredibly busy during the aftermath of rainstorms but they didn t complain. I ll be honest, I was initially upset by the amount of time it took for them to complete my car. But when I voiced my concerns they were quick to rectify. Jeff was incredibly attentive, he knew how much I love my car. At times, steps in the process were slowed, there were some unforeseen circumstances & parts difficult to find a couple potholes for sure - but in the end, my car came out the exact same way she was before the accident. They went out of their way to make things right. I appreciate them so much for putting up with me & my strict car needs. All of the staff there are personable & make you feel heard. Brought my new car in after an unfortunate accident (not my fault ;) & they did such an amazing job! Looks like new! Plus they text me with updates every few days. Great people, great service. I hope I never have to go back.. but a great place to know. :D

After my car accident, the liable party's insurance company referred me to TAG Collision for repairs. When I picked up my car, I immediately started having mechanical issues I had not experienced before the car went into the shop. When I contacted TAG Collision to explain this, they disregarded my concerns. That's when I when online and filled out the customer survey. At that time, I was a dissatisfied and very upset customer. The very next morning, I received a phone call from John Baratta with Auto Body Excellence in Poway. John said he had read my review and was very concerned and wanted to rectify any problems I was still having. He did not like hearing that I felt TAG does not care about its customers. This phone call began a long line of AMAZING customer service follow up that 4 weeks later left me completely happy and satisfied with the repairs that were completed on my car.John took care of my concerns from start to finish in a timely manner and without hesitation. He made sure to follow up immediately on all steps that would be taken to repair my car correctly after it was found the accident caused mechanical damage that was not initially noticed. John connected with a certified mechanic where my car was diagnosed and repaired. John handled all details with no hesitation and was completely fair, honest and looked after me (the customer) 100%. I have never been so satisfied when dealing with such unpleasant issues such as car accidents/repairs. John single-handedly turned a bad experience into an extremely positive one. He definitely went above and beyond to create a happy, satisfied customer for life!

I recently had my car fixed with this body shop. They were recommended by Gieco since I was in an accident (front side damage) and needed my car fixed. October 23rd, I bring my car to get fixed. December 01, my car was complete . They were paid $4200 for their poor job and took them over a month to get it done. Just the tip of the iceberg. Three weeks later (December 23rd) my car stop running, and my mother-in-law was stuck on the highway. It was towed back to this company, and they stated there was a transmission issue and that the issue had nothing to do with the work they did. The accident was in the front of the car, where the transmission was located. And they claimed that the accident that happened the transmission was fine, yet they did not do ANY diagnostic testing to confirm that the transmission was fine when the car first came in. The diagnostic testing came after they were paid $4200 dollars for some poor repair work from them. Not only did they claim that it was no fault of their own they tried to make me pay for the tow to get my car back! Like, I don t have insurance! They tried to bully me via email and told me I can t get my car until I pay $410 CASH. Really???, you don t take credit and you just want cash? Very fishy business with poor work ethic and terrible communication skills. Last email the guy from the company sends me is sorry, gieco will be paying for the tow. Yea I know buddy, like I told you before! This place has VERY poor service and they will not investigate your car fully before just fixing what they can see and send you on your way with a broken car. I blame Gieco too for recommending this company. I mean they are supposed to be the experts in this type of stuff, and they send me to these deceitful people? They will probably respond to this review saying, oh this was a separate issue Don t believe them. They did a poor job with investigating my car initially and they just fixed what they could see was damaged. Any response to my review from this company is loaded with lies. Never have I ever experienced such horrendous service. They had my car in their shop for over three months. They FINALLY returned it and it STILL has damages! Absolutely zero communication from their end and I had to constantly call for updates because I was clearly just forgotten about. Given back a car with multiple things still broken. Absolutely horrid. Do not bring your vehicle here.

I took my 2019 Honda Civic here for repair, my husband got rear ended and i brought my car here, the car left the shop looking like new. Jeff is the nicest person and he is so honest and straight forward (loved that he was a star wars fan also his collection was awesome lol). I really felt like i was leaving my car in very good hands I had no doubt about it. I love how they always keep you updated with texts so you never have to call to see how the process is going. They also give you a website so you can see what stage of the process your car is in which i thought it was all really cool and helpful! I took my car on the 17th of October and they told be the estimated date for it to be done would be Nov 11th and fortunately it was done by the 2nd and it took me by such surprise and i was so happy to have my car back so soon! Of course it also depends on the car parts to make sure they had everything and were able to get the parts soon. I would seriously recommend bringing your car here!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I took my car here after I got rear ended. I am so happy with my decision to work with Auto body excellence. Their work is amazing. It looks like my car was never involved in an accident. Vanessa kept me informed throughout the whole process and never left me wondering about how my car was doing. They finished my car on time. I recommend giving them a chance. Their customer service and work will not disappoint. Thank you.

These guys know what they are doing, they fix cars for the local dealerships and are always super busy. My 2017 Ford Explorer had 15k worth of damage and they worked with me on the price and did an excellent job. My car was done a week early and when I got my car back it looked brand new inside and out. I was amazed at how good it looks. So excited to have my new car again!Thank you Autobody Excellence!

Was recommended to them by USAA after a fender bender. I didn t have a crazy amount of damage, but they made the whole process so smooth. From the initial inspection to the picking up of my car, I was informed by text message every step of the way. Everyone at the office is very friendly and helpful and answered all my questions. They called Enterprise to come pick me up when I dropped my car off too!

Amazing service. Great job on the repair work. My car was hit while parked in a parking lot. Took it in to this place. Shasta was on top of notifications of changes to the car and it's repairs, providing updated pictures daily. I knew my car was in good hands and they delivered on their effort. It also has a lifetime warranty. Thank you for your great service and amazing experience!

This was my 2nd time I had my car repaired in 2 months and all I can say is they did another fabulous job on my car again. The car looks great now and I can t even tell where the damage was. Shasta was kind and helped me through with all the repairs. Thank you so much Shasta and everyone involved with the repair on my car. This will always be my place to go whenever I need repairs.

Wow ...this was the best turnaround of a bad experience made good! I have worked with ABE at least 4 times in past 5 years or so, and while little foibles are inevitable, this current experience defined Murphys Law. But in the end, ABE did their best to make things right!Thank you Michaela for being the rainbow throughout the rollercoaster of repairs and mishaps and craziness! You are a great asset for ABE and they are lucky to have you on their team!! Also thank you to John who brought an ever increasing list of problems to a successful resolution (although I am still working to get my cars electrical system looked at by Mazda for final thumbs up).I would recommend ABE and will return, although I hope to go accident free forever (fingers and toes crossed).Old review ...but still GREATFANTASTIC service! They take pride in their work and customer service! Quick to fix anything customer is not 100% satisfied with. Nadine is an amazing part of the team at ABE! I have utilized ABE twice of past 18 months and will be headed their way again later this week ...Hey, I know what you are likely thinking, but none of these accidents have been my fault!! I am beginning to think my car is an accident magnet, as 2 of the 3 accident my car was parked and I was not even nearby. After our in-office discussion, John, the manager did some digging and called me back. He apologized for any misunderstanding and was willing to meet us.We really appreciate the follow up and the understanding of our needs.Sometimes things go sideways, I can appreciate that. It's nice to know that a Auto Body Excellence is willing to work with customers and make things right.The rear of the vehicle looks like new and blends in well with the rest of the vehicle; tailgate closes nicely.

Had my 2015 Mazda6 rear bumper replaced, but they were unable to match the color (Snowflake Pearl White). They have a Lifetime Satisfaction Warranty on their paint & bodywork, but when I returned to ask to have the bumper repainted, I was told by the manager that it was impossible to get a plastic bumper to match the metal body parts. Ho obviously didn't want to repaint my bumper. I asked other body shops if they could match the color and they told me they could. Just need to modify the paint a little, not just use it straight out of the can.

Took my dodge pickup here after a accident. My hood, grill and bumper needed replacing. They had the truck for a long time, we get a call saying its done. Drive a hr to pick it up and the grill is still off, it took them another 1.5 hrs to finish as my wife waited for our truck. The repairs were worst that their customer service. Not one body line matched up the hood is sitting at a horrible angle, bumper doesn't line up, and the grill has notches cut out of it. Wouldn't recommend at all!

I brought my 2007 Lexus IS-350 in to fix a mean looking dent in the back of my vehicle and they provided an absolutely amazing service with the result looking BRAND NEW and for an amazing price. I was quite worried about potentially seeing the paint difference as they needed to repaint the area, but it really does look like the accident never happened. I will absolutely be returning to fix up other scuffs and dings in my paint as soon as I am able to spare the time!I highly recommend this service for anyone looking for body repairs. I also had the place next door (I believe the same family owns this, but I could be mistaken) change my oil during the same event, which was EXTREMELY convenient. Enterprise is right down the street and offers free shuttling which made the rental experience quite convenient as well.To add: This place was originally recommended by my Boss, who has lived in San Diego for decades - so my recommendation carries the weight of two people.

Took my car for a minor repair. The quote seemed reasonable, a few hundred under other quotes i had recieved. After a few days of them having it I recieved a call saying the guy forgot to quote a trim they had to replace during repair. So overall price endedup being more than my other quotes. Three weeks after repair, the clear coatcame off. Took the car back & was told in orderto fix it correctly they would have to match a third panel in, costing over $1000 more. They get two stars, overallwork when finally completed was good, prices and process to reach that point were not

I called in to ask a simple question... do I need an appointment to come get an estimate to have some damage on my car repaired? The incompetence of the woman Sabrina who answered the phone was alarming. She decided to tell me that because I have insurance that it was against California state law for me to get an estimate unless I go to my insurance company first and provide them with the estimate from my insurance company to go off of...this is not a law. I own an insurance agency and do not appreciate being spoken down to and fed false laws about the insurance. I will be reporting her and this establishment to the department of insurance seeing as how she s giving out false information regarding insurance and insurance laws, and she is actually the one in violation of California state laws by giving out incorrect insurance information as well. 0/10 would not recommend.

Auto Body Excellence did a wonderful job taing care of my minor fender bender...which ended up being a bit more than minor. As new issues were found, they took care of all the hassle with Allstate and just kept me informed.They returned my care to better than before, including being cleaned inside and out.The only realy point of improvement is that they front desk staff is very efffcient and businesslike, but not entirely welcoming. But that is a minor nit.I would recommned them wholeheartedly.

Took my car to be fixed after a minor accident. $4,000 later and the air conditioning (the most important part of the fix for me) is still not working properly. I didn't pay $4,000 for a fan. I'm beyond frustrated and disappointed.
