I had a job done this month in GV. Great family business. Kind and friendly people from beginning to end. The estimator and installer were professional. The job was done right the first time. Being a woman in the mountains I felt safe and that s really important to me. Looking for a replacement roller for my Dad's glass shower door. I called and emailedmost places. The woman at Placerville Glass was so nice. She really tried to help find a similar part. It failed. But I recommend this business very highly. Thank you fir the help.

Wow! I cannot believe the attitude over the phone of the person answering. I called to see if this place sold shower door hinges (not sure where else to look other than Amazon), and the tone coming from the gal that answered was shocking. She kept questioning *why* I needed a new hinge... *what* was the new hinge for?? As I mentioned.... I need a shower door hinge to replace a broken shower door hinge... Does it matter??They must have killer business going on right now to make new customers feel as though they are an inconvenience for calling. Yikes!

I purchased 3 windows from Placerville Glass. Their prices are extremely competitive, all of the staff more than helpful and very knowledgeable. I'm no window expert, however the time taken to help me find and decide on the size I needed and the friendly advice all the way down to the type of caulking I should use was perfect. All 3 windows are installed without any problems whatsoever. I couldn't be happier and plan on purchasing the remaining 2 windows I need from Placerville Glass. I really like supporting and doing business with local businesses who are the very fabric of our community. Also pleases me to know my dollars are staying here locally not being sent over seas to purchase more rice. Thank you Placerville Glass. It's been my pleasure to do business with you.

WE had a broken window. The glass was ordered. The company never called to schedule changing out the glass. I finally called to schedule. On the appointment day, Placerville Glass broke the replacement glass. Accidents happen, so I understood. I am giving them 2 stars, because again, they never called to tell me it had come into the shop. After two more calls, I got a hold of the scheduler, who flippantly said she called me (the real estate agent) and the owner. I told her I had never received a call and asked her the day she called, which of course she didn't have. I also checked with my owner, and he told me he never received a call. The deserve a 0 in customer service.Service: General window replacement

If I could find a way to give a 0 I would. Worst service in Placerville . And overpriced !! So you get to pay too much to be treated TERRIBLY.Used them a few years back and thought the service was pretty bad. Very rude and condescending front office woman. But since the other glass place that had Great service and prices seems to be gone, had to give them another try. Couldn't believe that the front office was WORSE than the last time!! We will drive to ANY other town to find a glass shop before using Placerville Glass ever again

Last year PV Glass did a good job on my shower enclosure, but for whatever reason this year they fell down on the job. I needed to replace a mirrored sliding closest door. They mismeasured the doors and after waiting weeks for the new doors the new ones were at least 30% too big. Very frustrating and unprofessional. Cannot recommend them any longer.They came back a second time with doors that were way too small. These are inexcusable mistakes. I still have not received the correct sized doors.

I cannot recommend Placerville Glass. I made an appointment for Friday, they called around 4PM and told me they couldn't come. I had a party on Saturday. If they were busy that day, they should have let me know so I could go with another company.

Can t cut glass to the size ordered. All pieces of glass were cut too big. They wouldn t even cut it too the right size without charging me more.
