Best shop in town for all European cars. I go here for my oil changes for the past 3 years and they do a fantastic job. No price gouging just great honest workmanship and expertise. I don t trust anywhere else. Jaime is great and will take care of you. You all rock!

These guys are great. When i first got a Mercedes I was worried about when it came time to fix things that were out of my league, so it was a major relief to find this spot. I knew right from my initial conversation on the phone with Drew that they were honest, and I was surprised that he said they'd let me know the parts and procedures for fixing the issues myself if I wanted. Most places aren't cool like that. I opted to have them do the work, and it was very reasonably priced.I feel much safer owning this car now, and its appreciated because I really like it. I feel like its less of a liability and out of my reach to own and repair as someone who isnt wealthy.I definitely recommend this spot.

I take my 2019 VW Beetle here about once a year because I don t drive it vey often. The gentlemen are always fair, helpful and courteous plus do a good job. I am glad they are in Placerville.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil changeServices: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I totaled my Volkswagen Golf a year ago and had it towed here. Before I knew it was totaled, I was hoping these guys could fix it up. My insurance company needed some pictures of the damages which they asked the shop for. My insurance company was clear that they didn't have to be great. Just taken with a phone would be fine. The damage was mainly under the car, and they told me they would not raise the car until after they could work on it. So they said they couldn't take the pictures, which was fine. I told my insurance company we would have to tow it to a body shop because they would do that. I call German Auto Werks to let them know when the tow truck is coming. The man on the phone told me I had to pay for their diagnostic. I asked the man if they were able to raise the car. He said they did, so I told him that I was told they couldn't, but if they could, I would cancel the tow and have them take the pictures of under the car. Then the man starts yelling at me, telling me that if I don't pay for the diagnostic they did, they're keeping my car. I told him I wasn't trying to get out of paying. I was explaining what I was told. Mid sentence, the guy hung up on me. At this point, the tow truck is coming, and I'm very frustrated. The guy didn't give me any payment options, and I still need to pay. I live in another town and don't have a car at this point, so I can't go into the shop and pay. I call back, and the guy picks up again, and I tell him I need to know the payment method options and ask him not to hang up the phone this time. He gives me the options I pay the money they coerced out of me, and the tow truck takes it. I was so caught off guard by the whole situation I didn't consider leaving a review until now. It's still an extremely distressful memory thinking back on it.

This is a great auto shop.When I was getting ready for a cross-country trip, they took great care of me and my car!I drove for almost 4 days straight, and the car felt better than ever.Thank you!

Drew ABSOLUTELY knows German cars, easy to approach and ask questions, the shop is a busy one, but usually an appointment will work out.I stopped going to a dealer in Elk Grove because I could never get a straight answer, they also used subcontracted mechanics; you wouldn't thinknit matters but it does...never an easy go and pick up the car when done.If my mother, daughter or sister had German cars I would recommend German Auto Werks with a clean conscience

If you have your service done here, you will quickly see why these people have a perfect five star rating. They did a fantastic job, made no attempts to upsell me on unnecessary stuff, and did the work in breakneck speed. Highly recommend and I'm very glad I found them.If I had to gripe about anything, I was really hoping they'd vacuumed my baby for me but they ARE mechanics and not detailers, so I digress

My first contact with the owner "Drew" was in regard to my VW Touareg.I had been in an accident and requested his opinion about the mechanical safety of my vehicle.He took some time to evaluate and inspect the damage.He was through and didn't charge me a penny.Months later I was looking to have the 80k service done. He was my first choice and I was not disappointed.His attention to detail and extensive familiarity with my vehicle made me very confident. His concern for my walletsealed the deal.I drive 500 miles to entrust my VW in his care.

Brought my MB into German Auto Works for some brake work.Drew listened to me carefully, determined the problem and did a really good job at a most fair price.He called me later to let me know something extra about my car.Real honest and quality work.They have my business from here on. Thanks Drew.

Service personnel were excellent. Service on my car took 1.5 days of work and 3 days off in between work. Car is running great.

I am new to the area and I have a Mini Cooper Clubman. Love my car! I needed some work done by a place that can run a diagnostic on a European vehicle. German Auto Werks had the diagnostic. They were incredibly helpful. They gave me lots of great info like what the best gas is and what the best oil is for my vehicle! They serviced my vehicle for a very reasonable price and got my vehicle done very quickly! They were awesome and I will definitely be back!

Great service and sure beats going to the Dealers who in the past have tried to sell me more than what I needed. This is my new shop for anything to do with my VW, today an oil change and plugs. And thanks for the tips to keep my VW bug running longer.

German Auto Werks are surely one of the honest and best around. Drew and Crew have serviced my Porsches, Classic VW Beetles and BMW for years. These guys truly are the best!!!

Experts in European Automobiles with thorough workmanship and explanation of the issues in plain English. I had a minor transmission issue on my 2011 Mini which is completely gone now. Really appreciated their courtesy and expertise.

My girlfriend asked me to find a good shop for her late dads 83 MBZ and I did just that....Drew was very honest sand kept us informed. In fact I dropped it off again this week. Highly recommend
