Bought a roof top cargo box about a year and a half ago. Long story short. The clear coat is delaminating rapidly over the last 2 weeks. Tried to get them to help me fix the obvious manufacturer error. But no they want me to pay more money. Another 200 to fix the top section. Basically me pay to fix their mistake. "It's not a common problem at all" is what they told me... So take care of the rare error. Be aware. Told I don't even know how many people about this place because I believed in their product. Not any more after dealing with the customer service. Should have just spent the 650 towards a name brand. This has been coming off over the past month rapidly. Everytime it's driven

Just finished the install on my 2018 JKU. First off, shipping time was amazing. Ordered on a Monday afternoon, and arrived on that Thursday. Any questions that i had were answered immediately by their friendly staff. took about 2 hours to assemble and install, with everything fitting together perfectly. Many options for securing your loads with the track system cross bars. great product

I purchased full length rack for my jeep wrangler. What a friendly service, they delivered rack to my house which is abut 500 miles away from warehouse. Installation are straight forward, and rack standard brackets is very low profile, only raised about 3 inches. And it is strong and steady. Then to mount the RTT on top, it is a little challenging since its low profile. I have to mount the RTT on to the rack first then mount rack and RTT together. Which requires two or three people to lift up and mount. It is so nice that full rack s cross bar has t slot on top, which is a big plus, I can mount the RTT direct on to the cross bar without a vertical bar under the RTT. (Of course, it might require some hack to remove the the vertical bar which usually is a 2020 extrusion bar, which the concept to mount that vertical bar and mount to full rack cross bar are the same. By doing such hack, the RTT will get lowered by another inch.

Just installed the tonneau cover. I was very skeptical because the price was so much lower than my previous cover. It was delivered. I got to inspect it and then pay for it. Installing was pretty straight forward. Fits and operates well. I'm really pleased. The customer service before and after delivery has been great too.

I had been looking for a tonneau cover that I can also mount a bed rack. I was so happy to find it available at Antidote Outdoors. Not only it is affordable, the product seemed to be well made. I have been on 3 camping trips since installing new rack and felt safe and secured with my rooftop tent on it. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

This rooftop tent has been a great improvement over ground camping for me. Between heavy downpours and high wind, I have been impressed with the beating this Clamshell will take. Definitely has met my expectation for durability and quality.

This is not a product review. This is a customer service review recently. I contacted Kareem about a xl tent that he posted for 2100 and agreed upon the price not only later I saw another post by Kareem for the same tent for 1900 so I contacted him and asked him if they would be able to honor that price and he stated that pricing was false and accused me that there was no proof and Did not take any ownership and made me feel. I was the one lame so I did not move forward with getting the tent because if I were to get the tent and had a problem with it, I m sure it would be much more of a hassle. Also, reading other peoples experiences and the owners responses I feel that my decision was solidified. They are very rude not willing to help or work with you, nor do they admit to their mistakes or take ownership when it comes to a faulty, product Or mistake I highly do not recommend them because of this reason to me Customer Service outweighs a great product because what is the use of having a great product if the company is not willing to work with you if something ever were go Wrong.

When I first purchased this roof rack, I was very excited as it was a roof rack that didn t require drilling. Unfortunately, everything couldn t have gone more wrong. When it was delivered, the package came completely damaged with parts missing. As I continued putting on the roof rack on my Jeep rubicon, the rack made my roof sag, which when you opened the doors the gutter brackets tore the door seals, and was not supportive or secure on my Jeep as once the tent was on the rack, it made my roof rattle during the entire drive. I also found out how unsupportive it was on my Jeep as the roof rack support that goes behind the back hinges pushed the back window out causing it not to seal anymore. I called customer support and they were very unsupportive and brushed me off and did not take back the rack.Needless to say, this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The materials are cheap and the rack completely destroyed a bunch of accessories on my Jeep that shouldn t have happened in the first place. Im happy to leave this company and just go with Rhino-Rack instead. Don t waste your time here and save your money!

Got my clamshell roof topt tent here several months back. We have put it through the works and it has been great. Came with the cold weather insulation package, ladder, and roof rack. Staff at the shop helped me get the tent on the roof which was really great. We have traveled across the country using this tent with no problems. Really love this tent!

At the end of May, I was driving on the interstate in Az when the whale tail style strap failed and bent as you can see in the photos. This caused the front portion of the tent to partially go upwards while I was on the interstate going 75 mph. The tent going upwards material of the tent and the zipper to fall out of the side and smack the side of the car. There is also another buckle strap which I'm not sure if it failed or what happened because according to antidote that was the main strap and the whale tale failing shouldn't have caused the entire tent to fail as it did. Per the email, which was sent June 6, 'The whale tale strap that malfunctioned is the secondary strap. The buckle straps are what actually hold the tent down. If the buckle strap fails or vice versa (what happened to you) it is there for backup. Regardless of what one has failed you would not need to additionally tie anything down or ratchet the tent down it will stay closed the secondary or main straps will keep the tent down."Considering what had just happened, I approached them about getting a refund because I no longer felt safe using their product and their response was ," We do not accept returns on used tents. If you are not satisfied with the product it would be something you would need to sell on a selling platform." Needless to say I don't think I should, in good faith, sell a tent I know is broken to someone else as that just doesn't sit right with me, let alone less than 6 months after I spent almost $2,000 purchasing it in the first place as I'd lose a lot of money in the process. They also offered paid service and replacement parts in this same email, 'We are here for service or parts at our main location we also offer shipping on any parts as well. The parts are also universal and can be purchased on Amazon too.'Since I was upset and angry over what had happened and the response that I didn't agree with, I gave myself time to think over things days how i should properly. On June 22, I responded to the email saying, 'Can we set-up an appointment with the owner so we can discuss this issue further? Based off what you're saying, the problem I'm having shouldn't exist, and yet it does. I'd like to get to the root of the issue for both of our sakes. I don't want this to be any bigger of a headache for either of us than it has to be.On another note, is your solution seriously for me to just sell the tent to someone else? It's already broken once and I don't see how I could, in good faith, pass on a broken product to someone else. That just feels disingenuous and deceptive for me to do that to someone else knowing that the product is broken. I know you can do better than that. Do better.' I never got a response to that email sent June 22.I went to try and get them to do an inspection of the tent to try and diagnose what failed so that they could better understand what had happened, but when I arrived their front door was locked even though I showed up during their business hours and had a paper taped on it with a phone number to call, which noone answered and I could even hear the phone ringing when I called the number while standing next to the door. A picture of the door with the paper should be included. This is in addition to other issues with the tent I'd had like the stock light in the tent having severely corroded batteries even though it was a new tent (unfortunately no pictures) and there being ladder hooks on only one side of the tent plus being charged to get ladder hooks installed on the other side when, in my opinion, that should come stock on both sides and not just one. They also couldn't find the right part and had to use the ladder hooks from a different model because their storage was so unorganized.Ultimately, the nights I did spend in the tent were very nice and thoroughly enjoyable and a lot of the staff are pleasant to talk to and interact with, especially at some of the overlanding events, there are just too many issues and a pattern developing of poor durability, quality, and customer service.

I bought and had Antidote Outdoors install an XL Aluminum Clam Shell on my 100 series Toyota Land Cruiser last week and the experience was super smooth. I made an appointment for installation about 1.5 weeks ahead of time. It took the team and me a bit of monkeying to mount my roof top tent as it is a different design than what they are used to, but they figured out a solid way to secure it to my roof top tent mounting bars. The installation to place outside their warehouse loading dock and the team members were all super friendly and I really appreciate their effort in getting it mounted. It would have been a bear to do it myself. The tent itself is very well thought out and has some key features different from competitors. I like the entrance awning on all 3 sides of the tent. The fit and finish is excellent. I appreciate that they gave a local discount. All the mounting hardware is stainless and there are t-slot channels on all 4 sides of the tent for additional mounting. It only takes about 1.5 minutes for me to extend the ladder and open up the tent. Putting it away takes slightly longer as one needs to push in any fabric that bows out, but Antidote added a bungee that helps hold the bulk of it in.Did a dry run this past weekend (11/7/21) at Doheny State Beach and my pup and I love our Antidote RTT! The winds picked up in the evening but she was rock solid and no flapping from the window rain flies. Took me less than 10 minutes to open up and have all the rain flies propped up.

I love my Stargazer rooftop tent! Easily, one of the best purchases I've ever made. I got it this year and have already been on two extended road trips, one of which was from coast to coast in the U.S. Very easy to use, extremely comfortable to sleep in, and I haven't seen another one with a clear ceiling so you can look up at the stars at night. My dog loves it too. Their staff is incredibly helpful and responsive with any questions about use, care, installation, etc. Can't wait to use it more this year and hope it lasts a long time!

I bought a Mint n Chip RTT a few months ago. I have used it for a few trips now to include a pretty technical off-road/trail riding trip and it performed amazing! I have it mounted on a tall bed rack on my 2017 Tacoma, set up is extremely easy and only takes about 30 seconds (literally 30 secs). Packing it up is simple as well and takes about 2 minutes to have it fully packed away (both of these are completely by myself...fyi). The quality is great and I really like the simplicity of this tent, there are no covers, rain flys, stakes or a bunch of tent poles, very simple and easy. I am 6' 1" and my wife is 5' 1" and we fit in it just fine and comfortably. I am able to pack it away with 2 normal pillows, 2 thick comforters and another large blanket all inside and it closes just fine. I definitely recommend this company and their products, I would buy again for sure!

These guys are great. They have a lot of fun stuff. I picked the batwing awning and do not regret it in the least. First time I used it was in a rain storm and everything underneath was dry. Good stuff. Helpful employees

We got the mint roof top tent from Antidote and put it on top of our off road trailer. It was very simple to install and our family loves the extra sleeping space it provides. Set up and take down are a breeze and the product is high quality. We did have an incident where one of the struts gave out BUT my husband got in contact with them and they immediately sent us a new one. It was super simple to replace and we love the product and customer service. I am saving for a paddle board next spring:)

Came to Antidote to get a rack for my 2500 HD Chevy and they did an absolutely amazing job! Customer service was awesome and the install was much quicker than I expected. They were able to get me all set up with a canopy and a few other essential accessories for camping. Pricing is very reasonable especially for the quality of material and work that they provide. Highly recommend!

I've got their adjustable truck bed rack and a couple of recovery boards, which I installed myself. I can recommend them especially if you are in California. They were available by phone to answer questions and they did a direct delivery to my house. Took a little time to install, of course, but I'm pleased with my purchase(at a steep discount compared to competitors) and taken it out on a few trips now with my RTT and Awning on the top.

Friendly service! Great product, I had a Thule Atlantis and wasn t a fan because of the design, also this is much quieter!!! Very aero. I also love that they have it in white. And the price point, the mounting is more stable since there is metal through out the bottom of the box. Smooth hinges. Love it.

Great camping and outdoors products from antidote. I've bought a soft top rooftop tent from them in 2021 and just upgraded to a clam shell from them and it's amazing. Great customer service and they even help you with the installation of rooftop tents. A++

I currently have the Condo RTT. It was given to me as a gift and I absolutely love it! It is super spacious and light weight perfect for my off-road adventures. While setting it up I realized I was missing the Velcro that goes around to hold the cover in place. I reached out via instagram, and received a response super quickly. Britney quickly got me exactly what I needed with 2 day delivery. They have such amazing customer service, and I m so happy with their products.

The people at Antidote Outdoors are amazing and super friendly. I pulled up and immediately Sebastian saw me and asked if I needed any help. I told him i was interested in the RTT and he brought me in and showed me a demo model. They even offer a killer discount for locals which gave me no choice but to purchase the RTT. They opened my new (version 3) RTT for me to inspect then they delivered it for FREE to me later that day. Phenomenal service from Antidote Outdoors going above and beyond.Thank you guys so much!

100% recommend Antidote Outdoors. I came in with no rails/no cross bars, and they set me up with everything I needed. The product is great, has held up through a few rain + snow storms and lots of desert sun. But really the people behind the company are what's incredible. Brittany went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I'm a car camper at the moment, but when the time comes to get a RTT, Antidote will be where I go.

EDIT #2: I just had to throw my $3,600 rooftop tent away in a landfill because it leaked from the beginning, molded over COMPLETELY two times (after the first time spending DAYS scrubbing mildew and mold off of the fabric as good as I could, and realizing I would be spending more time trying to clean this piece of trash that I would have using it), and all this horrible company did was offer me $200 when I told them up front when I received it that it leaks. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. They may have some products that aren t garbage, but the way that they handle issues is completely abhorrent. And I m not a one-off, go read other reviews saying the same thing. STAY AWAY FROM ANTIDOTE OUTDOORS! The photos below are of the tent after I spent hours scrubbing with harsh chemicals to remove the mold. Also, the skylight was so sun baked that you couldn t see out of it anymore. The literally take a generic rooftop tent, slap their logo on it, cut a hole in the top, place a piece of plastic down, and glue it shut. You would be better off making your own, and actually sealing the window in professionally and with something more than a layer of quickly eroding black goo.EDIT: I ve had the rooftop tent for just under two years now, and it has leaked so badly that mold and mildew has grown ALL over the entire canvas lining. The window on the top (the Stargazer model) has completely yellowed and bowed, and is so sun-baked that I can no longer even see out of the window - which was the whole reason I bought this tent. All four whale clips have broken and needed to be replaced. DO NOT SPEND MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY. If there are ANY issues once you ve received an item, you are completely out of luck. Bad company, bad product.Original: I admittedly made a huge mistake purchasing from Antidote. I paid $3,200 for a rooftop tent that leaks, along with a really terrible experience from the beginning with this company. I've attached a photo showing my email to them explaining my experience from the drop, and although the gal I corresponded with was nice and professional, the company didn't even respond to any of the issues I brought forward about my experience. It wasn't even acknowledged. Regarding the issue of my tent being faulty - their response was to remind me to "air out my tent" after use, and to "make sure the windows were zipped". I have been camping my entire life, and know the difference between some condensation buildup and a leak that has soaked the interior fabric lining and my mattress. After a lot of back and forth, they offered to give me $200 back. I declined, as that was yet another slap in the face from this company. I am so disappointed, and angry at myself for going against my better judgement and spending my money here. Maybe they are great to deal with locally, but they should really not be selling to people out of state if they can't provide a working product, or a solution for when their product is faulty. My experience may very well be a one-off, but it has shown that they do not know how to respond when issues do come up, and do not care to resolve it. Please, please beware. I don't want anyone else to make a $3200 mistake. I wish I had had a review like this to read before I went forward. Antidote - you have some great reviews, and clearly have some neat products. But you have really, really missed with your customer service. Again, they did not even acknowledge any of the issues in my email in the photo, aside from the leak. I know I'm just one little person from Idaho, but I hope that there is some type of change made in how they handle situations like mine.
