Room was very small and basic. There were no closet or drawers. I booked for two nights and room was not cleaned after the first night. My friend and I aren't dirty or messy people but we would had liked some housekeeping service. The best feature is the location. It's very close to downtown, the beach, stores and lots of other places etc. I paid about $150 per night but lots of the surrounding hotel properties were easily in the $200s - $400s per night so I didn't feel bad at all. I absolutely understood the economics and laws of supply & demand.

Beds are super comfortable. Nobody was in the office till three so, even if you want to check in early, you can t. Rooms were pretty clean. I definitely would stay here again. very family friendly.Walkability: Just a few blocks from downtown.

Had a great stay here. The positives were it was decently priced per night, it was near Pismo beach. It was a short walk to the beach and near some decent restaurants. Rosa s, which was across the street was an okay place to eat. Front desk gave my dog some complementary treats, which was nice and my dog was very happy. Place was pet friendly. Had fridge and microwave.The negatives could be that it was near the freeway so can hear all the cars driving by. Did not have the best view. Room smelled like bleach when first entering.other than that, i would not mind staying here again

Loved the shower! The room had everything you need when traveling. The service was great. The location was a lil noisy because it was off the freeway and on a main road, but it died down as the night went on. Clean and comfortable bed. The only thing was the noisy heating unit, but I only turned it on long enough to warm up the room. It was a perfect temperature for the rest of the night! Finally, I had 2 lil dogs and they also enjoyed their stay. I will stay there again!Rooms: Clean, clean, clean!Safety: It was well lit. No curtains, but blinds that have privacy.Noteworthy details: Pets are allowed. I had 2 dogs.

Used the Ocean Palms Motel for staff to stay in the Pismo Beach area January 2024. Manager of Motel, Laura is professional and easy to work with. The motel system provides you with text updates to keep you informed during your stay. Rooms came with microwave, fridge, and coffee pot and staff shared beds were comfortable. Great cost effective location in Pismo with nearby location to Pismo Beach Pier.

Very nice and clean room. Very good communication. The check in employee was very pleasant and gave us a good recommendation for dinner (wooly's on the pier). It is by the highway but it was really not an issue. You can barely hear the cars.Walkability: 5-7-minutes leisury walk to the pier.

Great experience. Very clean and cozy. Perfect location, walked to beach and shops, just minutes away with our dog! Service was great, really liked Laura, very welcoming. The photos on line don t do the property justice. It is fresh and clean. Location is perfect for walking to the pier and shops and restaurants on Pomeroy. The proprietor was kind and accommodating in our request for late checkout. For the price, you'll receive a room that surpasses expectations. It was extremely clean, smelled like nothing, and was surprisingly well insulated from the sounds of the freeway. We only stayed for one night, so I can't comment on the service as much, but the front desk woman was very helpful and kind. The only problem I had was that the box spring for the bed was pure metal, and made a wobbling sound whenever you sat on it. Overall, 8.5/10. Solid room for a solid price.

This hotel is ideally located, just steps from downtown. Rooms were nice and clean, beds were comfortable, and the hotel was very welcoming of pets. Great customer service overall. Would stay here again.Walkability: Great walkability to downtown Pismo Beach

My fianc� and I stayed at the Ocean Palms Motel from January 7th to 8th, and we had a wonderful experience. The room was remarkably clean and well-insulated, providing a comfortable and serene environment. Initially, we encountered a minor issue with the water heating up. However, after consulting with the staff, who were both helpful and reassuring, we followed their advice to give it about 10 minutes. To our delight, this resolved the issue, allowing us to enjoy a nice hot shower. The affordability of the motel was a pleasant surprise, making our stay even more enjoyable. Based on our experience, we highly recommend Ocean Palms Motel and are looking forward to staying here again in the future.

We arrived early and the room wasn t quite ready so we went and grabbed lunch. Check in was a breeze, communication was great and it s a 7-10min walk to the main strip. Rooms are spacious, clean with all the amenities we needed. Also don t skip dinner at Rosa s across the street bc it s amazing! Ocean Palm is the only place we stay when in Pismo :)

It was cute and clean and quiet! I had no issues and it was 2 blocks away from the beach walking distance. Would stay there again for sure!Walkability: It s perfect walking distances from the motel and the pier walk and beach and there are plenty of food and entertainment establishments in between.

The room is nice. Hard floor, generally feel clean. However, once I touched a floor, realized it is super dirty. I ended up cleaning it with the white cloth and it turned out black after I cleaned the floor. That s the biggest con. Otherwise all good.Walkability: Near the beach and downtown

Nice stay! Plain and simple. Easy to talk to front desk, cleaning staff was super nice and friendly. Easy to check in to our room, pet fee was reasonable, but A/C was tricky to work at night. Either way, wasn't something to address at the time, cracked the window open and we were ok. Overall this was a great place to stay especially compared to the pricier options in the area.The rooms are really cute and have all the necessities. Fridge, microwave, soap/shampoo/conditioner, and a HUGE bed. TV doesn t work super well but it s there. The bed was decent.The location is great, walk to the beach in minutes, close to downtown SLO. Felt safe walking around at night. I d stay here again!
