We recently had exceptional service on a rear differential replacement from Sergio at SG auto repair. On the way from Canada to the Baja we were informed our rear differential was faulty and needed replacing. After calling a bunch of places in San Fransisco and finding no one willing or able to help us, we called Sg Auto Repair who graciously agreed to help and fit us in right away. Within a couple days Sergio had ordered the new differential, prioritized our service and completed the entire replacement for an affordable price. He is the reason we were able to make it down to the Baja and we are very grateful. This business has the best service and friendliest mechanic. We highly recommend this shop to anyone in or passing through Pinole, best service in the Bay Area. Thank you Sergio!

I ve been bringing my cars here for many years and now my kids do too! I trust these guys 100%. They are honest and do great quality work. Our car broke down on a Saturday noon, we took the chance calling Sergio's shop to see if they're open and if they can take our car in. Sergio agreed to have our car looked at and had it fix the same day. Awesome customer service and honest work! Highly recommend.

I own a 2001 Dodge Durango RT. I had several things done to it just last week: a tuneup, replaced front ball joints replaced, replaced sway bar bushings, fixed the cruise control, fixed the transmission handle the engine light issue replace all the shocks and replaced the front brakes.Before all these fixes driving, the car was a bit of a traipse in that it bounced and wobbled on any bump in the road, and I would wonder if I would make it to a destination more than 100 miles away.Now I know, and feel totally confident that I can make the trek the Yucatan Mexico. Not only is the distance in travel more than driving from the San Francisco Bay area to Tampa, Florida, but more than half of the track will be in a foreign country that is still rather Third World, and the proposition of a breakdown even scarier. Mexico does not have AAA.I then had a, what seemed like, insurmountable hurdle in getting a land rover range, rover smog. Well, he took care of that, too!Not only if I found a mechanic, I feel as though I have gained a friend who I know can handle any issue with any car that I have.And not only do I know that he is trustworthy but I have also seen people come and go, satisfied in his work, and trusting him from people who drive very nice and fancy cars to the neighbor down the street from me who I know is very low income.I feel as though you can trust him too.

My mom recently brought her van in for a smog repair and was charged and paid well over $1700.00. Her van has never had any water pump or overheating issues, but when she left the van was leaking fluid and smelled of rubbery burnt smoke. My father has used this auto repair many times as well and his car is always jacked up after. These folks have takin advantage of my parents being senior citizens, and African American. The owner even had the nerve to tell my mother that the car repair rates go up every 48hrs I m so upset. My family has literally spent thousands of dollars here and their cars still don t work. I would never recommend this auto repair to anyone. They have no respect for people s money or time.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I m new to the area and I m so glad I found a trustworthy mechanic. One morning my jetta took extra long to start and when it finally turned over, there was an awful noise and tons of smoke out of the exhaust. I called SG and they were able to take my car in right away. It turned out to be the dreaded diagnostic: a blown head gasket. Ceaser and Sergio brought my car back to life for a reasonable price. Their communication was excellent and they were patient with all my questions. It s been over a month now and my car drives great!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Very honest shop . The owner Sergio is there full time and that makes trusting a mechanical shop a lot easier . Customer service was great with Ceasar the mechanic that worked on my van . Definitely plan on using them for all my work van maintenance and personal vehicles.

5.0 star rating 7/26/2019I had my 2008 Volvo C30 and my 2005 BMW services at this shop. I was impress with their service and integrity. This father son team is the best! One of the few honest mechanics around. They are very knowledgeable and friendly and will not attempt to sell you unnecessary services or parts. I'll be a loyal customer guaranteed!

I called around for e46 clutch jobs and read mixed reviews then found this place and from the 1st call I got nothing but top notch service, clutch done, rear seal replaced, flywheel bolts off, a hole lot of stuff all in less then 24 hrs. Very communicative and cheaper then any other place by far. 5 star, 100 star, will send all my people to them. Excellent service, damm excellent.

Sergio has been our family's mechanic for many years. He has serviced our cars that needed new starter, alternator, new transmission, regular service maintenance and repair window control in door, he does it all. We trust his opinion and his work, and always appreciate his honesty and integrity. My family and I trust him and recommend his service to everyone we know. Everyone should have a good experience when having their cars serviced.

Sergio is the honest mechanic we have all been looking for!!! Father and son run facility using quality parts great communication and timely.He repaired my ac unit same day during a heat wave. Vacuum leak and overall safety check I fully trust Sergio or his son to work on my truck or car with out hesitation.

I took my enterprise fleet vehicle that I use for work here. I called on the same day and was in and out within 2 hours. I usually get poor quality work and customer service at other places since the shops are dealing with Enterprise, but it was great here. Love these guys! I had something dragging underneath my car which turned out to be a piece of plastic which they removed. But they also tuned my brakes. They do great work and go over and beyond.Services: Brakes, Oil changeServices: Brakes, Oil change

I've been coming to S & G Auto for almost 18 years now. Wow!! My kids come here, their friends come here & so do mine. The service is always with a smile & fair pricing for all work. Sergio & his son have a great chemistry which makes this an awesome experience. I strayed 1 time & it cost me more because Sergio had to fix the other places mistake. I learned my lesson. This is a family operation & they treat you as such also..25 stars !!!

Really disappointed with the service. I was there because of the google reviews but didn t receive the service as said in the google review. I was there to fix my front left turn signal but they said i had my rare tail light problem. Trusting their service i paid $150 deposit and authorized them to work on tail light. They said they ordered my parts from the dealership and will be in next day. I went there next day but told that they received the wrong parts. Then they said they will place a new order but i have to wait another 4 days but if they want it done same day pay $40 extra. I did whatever they asked me to do but at the end they are asking me extra money to get my job done, i don t think this is right!!! I feel very poor service and communication with the costumer. So 1 star.

They always provide the best service, Sergio has built his business on honesty and integrity. I have been coming to S.G. Auto Repair for about 7 years and could not be happier. I highly recommend his repair shop.

I did a prepurchase inspection here and I felt that the price was great for what they inspected. The only reason I am not giving five stars is there was (and still is) a problem with the car stalling after starting that wasn't found.

I paid $1300 dollars to fix a $300 repair... he charged me $800 for a fuel pump I didn't need and $500 for a tune up... and never changed the oil!!!! After paying $1300 for a fuel pump I didn't need, I had to pay $300 to fix the real problem, and still he never changed the oil and filter!!! I will never go back to him and never recommend him...

I have been a customer of Sergio's since around 2001, this was even before his garage became S.G. Auto. Don't think he even had a sign, it was just a garage with a family man carving out a living for himself & his family. Sergio has always been helpful and super friendly. It was because of him and his help that I started working on my own car. It is great to see a good man with an honest business prospering. Worst place to get your car fixed, they will rip you off.stay away from them at all cost, they will turn a $200 fix into a $4000 ( I am not exaggerating) with fake quotes and estimates if they feel you don't understand the basics.Service: Vehicle InspectionService: Vehicle Inspection

I really liked this place. Nothing like a trustworthy auto repair shop. A little pricey,but i don't mind when service is good and u don't have to worry about being overcharged for services not needed. Would return again.

They stole parts from my vehicle. They lied about work that my vehicle needed; then didn't do the work they said they would do. We left with the problem unfixed and the money we paid lost! Conmen and criminals! Don't do it!!!
