The team was very nice and friendly!I came in with a dead battery and they were detailed, thorough, and transparent with what they were going to do. They wanted to test other things to be sure it was the battery and not another underlying issue, which I appreciated.The work was quick and affordable. Overall, my first experience with Northbay Automotive was great and I will definitely return whenever I need my car serviced in the future.Thanks!

Excellent service. Although one if my issues of a water leak was unsuccessful, their efforts to try after the second time shows true dedication to resolving my concerns. My other issue was very minor but provided above and beyond service to do additional tasks that would help ensure no future concerns. I m pleased with taking my car here whenever I need help!

Broke down with a bad clutch, had my car towed while checking reviews online in a pinch. After arriving at the shop, customer service was professional and courteous. Repair seems good, can t really tell but it runs great. Was told the repair will be warranted to 2 years. Labor cost flat fee, which seemed a bit high. Did comparison price at my local shop and found their rate to be within a couple hundred bucks so rather than move the car, I decided to have NorthBay do the work. Please with how easy they made the process, got me in and out in 2 working days. Thank you!

They completed a simple but important repair on my jeep grand Cherokee. Very nice people with good service, delivered on time, fair price. Very knowledgeable crew. Trust these guys way more than the dealership without all the upsell, long wait to schedule service and at better pricing.

I ve been coming here for years with my 2014 Prius, and even before then with my uncle s Honda hybrid, and I absolutely love them. They do such great work at an affordable price, I was tossing hundreds away going to the dealership. These guys are the real deal, I hope they re around forever. They re my one and only.

Money is tight so when my 2012 Kia Soul broke down I was nervous. North Bay Automotive examined the car and gave us a quote. They completed the work the next day and it came in under budget. I now have the mechanic I ll keep coming back to.

I had a fantastic experience at this auto shop! The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They diagnosed and fixed the issue with my car quickly and at a reasonable price. They even kept me updated in every part of the process. I was impressed with their professionalism and the quality of their work. We love North Bay automotive on South Petaluma boulevard. Don't be misled. There was another North Bay automotive in cotati or something but this is not the same outfit.Don answers the phone, listens, they give you a decent estimate of the necessary work to be done and they do it! I've taken my cars to Northbay Automotive for 20 years where I have always gotten great, reliable service at a reasonable price. I have never had the impression of being upsold service that wasn't needed, or that I have been overcharged. Every service has come with a quote, an explanation, and the opportunity to choose which work I want done. They have never done me the "favor" of completing additional work without my pre-approval. They have never inflated the bill after the estimate. All service was performed in a timely manner. Don has a qreat team and I will continue to take my business there.

We were traveling from out of state when our SUV started acting strangely over the weekend. Since we were staying in Petaluma, I reached out to the highest rated independent repair facility that was nearby. I called first thing Monday morning and was told by Don that they will fit me into an already busy day. Whew! I dropped the car off around 8:30 AM and discovered a well-run facility that oozed professionalism, organization, and was well managed. Crossing my fingers, I left them our can hoping that the problem(s) were not too significant.Shortly after 1:00 PM I received a call that the car was ready and we could continue on with our trip throughout CA. The cost was incredibly reasonable.This is a great operation, and I suggest you give them a chance. Can I convince you guys to create a location in my home state? I have been using NB for almost 20 years I think. Definitely through several vehicles! They are always kind, knowledgeable, accommodating and understanding of my single-mom budget to work around. They look out for the safety issues that need immediate attention and the things that can wait a bit. They don t nickel and dime me and I always trust that they are being up front. Way back when we started, I used to check with my Dad and see if what they said seemed to line up with what he would advise because he always maintained my card but he was in another state and getting older now, and he always said it was great advice that he would have given too. Now my Dad has sadly passed on, but I trust these guys the same. And on one occasion, when I couldn t make it to pick something up left in my vehicle Don even offered to drop it off to my house all the way in Cotati on his way home. I can t say enough about the great service here. These people are the best. Thanks for being a great part of kindness & good service in Sonoma County! For over the past ten years, Northbay Automotive has been our go-to mechanic shop of choice. Don is constantly engaging and helpful, whether on the phone or in person. The work is done timely and well. Whenever a product has needed the use of a warranty they have handled it quickly and efficiently without complaint. On occasion s, due to their full schedule or unavailability of a mechanic, it has taken a few days to get our car in to be serviced. I had vehicle problems unexpectedly and my usual spot was booked out for a week; so, the AAA tow truck driver mentioned this place. They were very helpful and they were able to fit my vehicle in that afternoon and they finished it the next day. They communicated with me throughout the whole process.

My scheduled appointment worked around my activities with ease.Don knows my vehicle and is always ready to give me outstanding service.I dropped my vehicle off and before I walked home Don called to say the work was done.Northbay Automotive is honest and trustworthy!Northbay Automotive at 929 Petaluma Blvd S, Petaluma, CA 94952 Is a wonderful and trustworthy establishment. Don has been my contact for many years for automobile service. Professional, efficient, honest, and genuinely good describe the folks at this shop.Most recently, I had my truck in for service while I was out of town. Don kept in contact with me throughout the day! My truck was repaired under warranty and was made available upon my return after working hours.Honesty and integrity is how I describe Northbay Auto. I had a starter that failed. I also needed a quick turnaround on the repair as my vehicle is my daily driver. Since I am a AAA member, I looked for shops that are AAA recommended. North Bay Auto, with 2 locations in Petaluma, came recommended. Despite their busy schedule, they were able to have my car back to me in less than 24 hours. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I ended up having my car here for nearly two months, but I don t think it could have possibly been in better hands. First time was for a head gasket replacement, for which they re-machined the factory headers to a perfect fit, and they also replaced the timing belt, water pump, and thermostat while they had the engine apart- things the car needed badly. The second time the throttle body needed to be replaced, and I was not charged for labor due to unusual circumstances where they weren t sure if they had caused the issue during the gasket repairs. The third time the turbocharger went bad, and rather than brushing it under the rug or deflecting, they owned up to it and didn t charge me a penny to replace it. Serious credit to Don, who was incredibly helpful. I was consistently impressed by his honesty, thoroughness, and transparency. As arduous as the last couple months have been for my car, these interactions were more than enough to cement my trust in this shop and these people.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Oil change

I've been a customer of Northbay Automotive for 25 years, with 4 different vehicles (Saturn, Subaru, another Saturn, and Prius) over that time. From basic service and tires to diagnosis and repair of tricky intermittent problems, they have always been great at convenient scheduling, reliable repair and follow-up, and good communication. I also wanted to mention that Northbay Automotive (one word, on the south end of town) is not at all related to the fleeting existence (?) of North Bay Automotive (two words, north end of town) which arrived a few years ago, and proceeded to get bad reviews and confuse people. Stick to the south end of town folks, and you can also enjoy nearby eateries. (Mr. Mom's, Aqus). I realize I'm sounding like the Chamber of Commerce, but I'm not. I'm a neighbor, and am happy to have good businesses in my 'hood.

I have been going to North Bay Auto for decades. I keep going back because I completely trust them in every way. They are professional and very competent. Yesterday I bought tires from them and received the best price possible. In addition to installing them, they did a quick maintenance check and noticed an issue with my brakes that I had been ignoring for months. They also reinstalled a protective seal to the underbelly of my car with no charge to me. I feel very well taken care of and have complete confidence in them! This is the third time I've taken my sweetheart car( 2008 Volvo v70). To them. Made an appointment , they looked her over fixed what was wrong, and got her back to me. I find them honest, trustworthy, easy to talk to, and not charging me for work that didn't need to be done. Being retired I will be using them for all of my car needs. TOP NOTCH!!! Quick service and a good price! We made an appointment a week out which was the soonest we could get in anywhere for an oil change and tire rotation. My car had a rattle that was difficult to pinpoint; it only occurred at high speeds. Northbay was thorough and conducted a follow-up free of charge. The mechanic took time to ride with me and listen. He and everyone took good care of me.
