Came here because our truck broke down and we were far away from home. Towed it and the man that was working had in fixed quick and the price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place. The are honest and reasonable. To the man who fixed our truck and had us on our way, thank you so much

Being from out of state & soon to make a long drive home across 4 states & the desert, I took our vehicle in and talked with Kody at the referral of a Petaluma friend. With 116K miles and a new serpentine belt & tensioner installed 2 years earlier, he looked at both and declared them fit for duty and the 1500 mile drive. No pressure whatsoever saying I should get either replaced. Thanks Kody! A small shop on the corner - the best kind of place to go!

A most reliable, trustworthy, garage. I hadn't had my car checked over in quite a while, and boy, did it need help! They very clearly detailed the numerous issues I had. No glossing over the problems but neither did they exaggerate what needed to be done, and advise any unnecessary work. I had dealt with Dave's Auto some years ago, and they were honest in their opinion, nor did they charge for a mysterious problem I had at the time that they couldn't identify. ( The problem never came back; probably a pebble causing a racket). I could not recommend this repair shop more highly.

We continue to bring our cars in to Dave's Auto Repair. Service is great, they do and excellent job, and are very prompt and courteous. Just had my car in for a lube and oil, and they did a very thorough check, gave clear printout. We are very confident that the service will be thorough and complete. HELLO GOOGLE USERS: THIS PLACE IS AWSOME!!!!8/4/2020I GOT A SAME DAY APOINTMENT!! I got my AC recharged at Daves on 6/23/20It quit on 8/2/20 ( I've been having AC issues for a couple of years). On 8/4/20 another same day apointment...Short wait..Great service, GREAT WIFI, clean bathroom, very helpfull and courteous staff Kristie on the phone, Mike with the AC and Dave the owner. NO CHARGE for the diagnosis and recharge!!THANK YOU DAVE, KRISTIN AND MIKEI AM VERY IMPRESSED....YOU HAVE ALL MY BUSINESS FROM NOW ON.John s.Another great experience for me at DAVES!. My Toyota AC stopped DIFFERENT VEHICLE....It is hot....Same day apointment! I needed a part which was not available same day...I was on the road and located the part in another town....It was not available till after 5pm when Dave is closed. I called and asked if they were willing to stay late for me (I live 2 hours away). Mike, the AC guy said yes! They broke wiring harness clip going to intake manifold and never told me, or fixed it. Repairs cost me $1700.

We needed a smog check for our car and Dave's got us in quickly, did the test, and let us know that a AAA was just minutes away so we could get our new sticker the same day. We used a coupon from Dave's website to get a great deal. They were efficient, professional, and friendly. Highly recommend!

These guys are AWESOME! Very trustworthy. Highly recommend! My van wouldn't start & I had it towed over to them. They, took a look at it & when try tried, my van started. They started it several more times, drive it, shut it off & started it. The problem just seemed to fix itself. They checked my engine & fluids all was good. They didn't charge me anything. If you are looking for honest mechanics, this is the place to go!

Had UCA, LCA and new shocks put on my Ford Ranger 4x4. With the torsion bars I wanted a professional to handle it safely. It was knocked out in a day (would've taken me at least 3+ full days) along with alignment and inspection. They even topped off my power steering fluid. Mike was awesome!he replace a bulb of that was busted in my car and only charged me $10! Even though I know the service and the installation was more. His computer was broken and he didn't want to waste my time. He is awesome I plan on going back and finding out how much it really costed and pay the full price. thank you so much you guys. Dave's really knows how to come through.

One of the last great independents shops In Petaluma. There are a couple, but I choose this one. Every single person there appreciates their job and it shows. It is hard to explain why Dave didn't expand at some point, but this is a great spot especially for hard to find euro car shops for the wife's car. But he has always done good by my dodge and fords too. thanks BurlesonService: Oil change

Dave's Auto Repair really came through. The owner Dave actually called me to discuss the Issues with my vehicle and we developed a plan that I could work with. The technicians were friendly and explained in detail what was going on with my car infact they showed me what was going on when my car was on the rack. Who does that nowadays? Nobody but Dave's. Remember cheap work is not good and good work is not cheap let's just say Dave's was very reasonable for all the work they preformed. Also a shout out to Monica the service writer she was professional and kind when I was very stressed about my vehicle. Dave's won't let you down. Old fashioned customer service with High tech ability it's a vanishing way of doing business.

Dave's Auto Repair is excellent in all areas of service. I have taken in my Dodge mini van, two Toyotas, and a Subaru there for several years for a myriad of repairs and maintenance needs, and they have always come through with the best analysis and customer service. Truly it is hard to imagine a more honest, thoughtful, and skillful team.I recommend to my friends that they take their cars to Dave's for their car repairs. When they do they thank me for my advice. Dave's Auto Repair has consistently been the best service I've ever experienced from any shop that's worked on my car! They're so communicative: always taking the time to explain what's wrong, what they can do, cost estimates, updates, and more all without every talking down to me or assuming that as a woman I don't know anything about a car. So refreshing. Recently when a part failed sooner than it should they handled the whole thing, making sure it was replaced and working at no cost to me. Plus they're just really nice people, and they sell their own fresh eggs, which is just very "Petaluma"! Can't recommend them enough!

Wonderful experience!!! Everything was handled in a professional way. The issue I took my vehicle in for was diagnosed with state of the art equipment and the problem was fixed in the time they promised. The lady at the counter and the shop personnel were all very friendly. I would definitely have more work done at Dave s!

Great place for a quick smog test. Very good price with the mail coupon. We do all our vehicles there. John at the front desk is thorough in getting the information and Kevin is fast with the check.

I have been taking my vehicles to Dave's Auto for over 30 years. That in itself should quantify the degree to which I trust and have used Dave and company for all my automotive needs. When something wasn't right Dave always made it so with no further charge. I would recommend Dave's Auto Repair to anyone.

Dave's has been taking care of my truck for several years. They have always been reliable, efficient and proactive in alerting me to issues that might need addressing at a later time. Dave's is the only garage I trust with my truck.

We are very happy with this repair shop. No problems with getting in and out for the smog on our old truck. We had a problem trying to find someplace that would do it. Even the dealer couldn't, a lot of shops don't have the machine for the old vehicles anymore. We even had a coupon for a free pizza. Since they are a repair shop, they can fix the problem if you don't pass the smog at first.

Came in towards the end of a Friday with my check engine light on and they quickly scanned my car, identified the likely cause, and got me on my way as soon as they could. Professional, friendly, and polite. I will definitely be back in the future for all of my car needs!

Most honest and highest integrity mechanics I've ever met. They did an extensive inspection gratis and gave me an affordable option instead of what the dealer told me had to be done.
