Our vehicle broke down on a road trip. This was the closest mechanic shop so we brought our vehicle here. The owner and team were extremely nice and very knowledgeable. They were very busy but were able to get our vehicle fixed the same day. This is the best mechanic shop I have ever been to anywhere. The prices were very reasonable especially for the exceptional service.

George and his staff at Foltz Auto are the best! They are very knowledgeable, fair, have great customer service and most importantly they have always been honest! I have been coming to this place for over 15 years. They never let me down!!

Our older VW TDI broke down on a road trip after my son accidentally put gas in :( I had it towed here because it was close. Left a key and a note in their drop box and hoped for the best.The guys in this shop were able to get it flushed out and running for a very fair price. We were pleasantly surprised.

I had an unanticipated visit to Dave Foltz Automotive during a road trip from Monterey County to Los Angeles, and it turned out to be a lifesaver. While on the road, I noticed a significant amount of water coming from the bottom of the engine, which was quite alarming. Fortunately, I found Dave Foltz Automotive on Google Maps and decided to stop by.Upon arriving, I explained the situation to the manager, Jorge. He immediately sprang into action, troubleshooting the issue with utmost professionalism. Jorge's swift response and diagnostic skills were impressive. He assured me that the water was simply condensation from the AC system, which was a huge relief.Not only did Jorge diagnose the problem, but he also went the extra mile by ensuring that my coolant levels were topped off, ensuring my vehicle's overall safety. This level of care and attention to detail truly impressed me.Furthermore, Jorge's friendly demeanor and excellent customer service made the entire experience even better. It's clear that he values quality customer care and goes above and beyond to provide it.In summary, my unexpected visit to Dave Foltz Automotive turned out to be a positive and reassuring experience. Hands down best auto repair shop in town. Their prices are very reasonable and they can fix almost anything. Jorge the manger is very knowledgeable and will take the time to discuss all options available. They have never overcharged me and are extremely honest. The only auto shop I will ever go to.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU to Jorge and Team! Our power steering pump blew a hose Friday night and I called Jorge Saturday morning. We are staying in a local RV park and leaving Sunday! They are amazing! I was on my way to Vegas and my AC stopped working! I called George and he told me to stop by and he would check it out. George was not there when I arrived but his mechanics took my truck in immediately and diagnosed the problem and had me out the door within 45 minutes! Jorge is pretty awesome he is the only mechanic I will take my cars to. Over the years as a female I have been taken advantage of by other mechanics, not with Jorge. At first I tried to call around to make sure the quotes were honest...what I found was they were. He always has quoted an honest price and he stands by his work. I almost hate leaving a review as this is a hidden gem and he can already get busy but with that said, I feel the service he has provided over the years to my family cars deserves a positive review. For those looking for the honest guy who is fair in pricing who stands by his work this is the place to go and he's really nice too. Jorge is the owner even thought it says Dave Foltz-

My son's truck broke down on the way to paso Robles for his birthday weekend. He had it towed to his hotel after hours and I called a few shops I found on Google. Left a message in the evening and received a call first thing in the morning from Jorge. He said they would be able to take care of the problem which was the alternator. My son had it towed over, everyone was super nice and he and his girlfriend walked around for an hour while it was repaired. Everything is working now and it was not overpriced. Today was my first visit to Dave Foltz Automotive. I am very satisfied with the service's I received on my vehicle, as well as the friendly knowledgeable mechanics there. I normally have a really hard time finding a mechanic I feel I can trust not to rip me off or take advantage of my lack of knowledge when it comes to vehicles (my father is my mechanic but he live is Michigan, so I no longer get that free service living here in CA). George (owner) made me feel comfortable right away and I could tell he is a genuine honest business owner and mechanic.I will certainly be a re-peat customer and am already planning to drop my vehicle back off for more repairs I planned on getting done gradually. Let me add, I needed my ac recharged, other places in town quoted me almost triple what George told me, AND couldn't even get my car in for service until a week later. George accepted my car the same day and had it done in no time at all.

AWESOME! I used to use another local shop until they closed their doors a couple years ago. I was referred to Dave Foltz by one of my wife's friends. I am so pleased with the service they provide. Excellent workmanship, great prices, and honest. Dave Foltz Automotive will be our go to shop first and foremost for all things automotive. If they can't do it, they give great references. I would encourage anyone and everyone looking for a mechanic to check them out, you won't be sorry.

Dave Foltz Automotive was the only mechanic that made time for us in on a Friday afternoon after a wheel flew off of our truck. Reasonable prices, reliable knowledge. Very greatful for the team's service! If we lived in the area we would definitely go there again.

This place may not look that fancy and clean but the service is the best i ever had. We were taking our cars there for a long time and when Goerge, the new owner, took over i was a little bit worried. But the service is the same and the way he treats each customers is amazing. He is very honest person and will not do any job if it is not necessary. Yes, people, there are people like him who makes you believe in people who are in these kind of business are not just for money but to serve people and treat everyone like a family. God Bless him and his business. We feel fortunate to go to his business.

My transmission started making bad noises in San Miguel so I coasted into Paso Robles fearing the worst. George was the only shop open on a Saturday and he diagnosed and fixed my problem at a tenth of what I was planning to pay. I was back on the road in 90 minutes. Professional and personable.

SKILLED , at accurate diagnosing, INTEGRITY I was referred here after being ripped off by other mechanics that didn't even fix the problem w the car. Jorge took his time on properly finding the problem and fixing it properly I'm very grateful and would rate DFA #1!!. KIND and RESPECTFUL service

You guys are great! I'm not sure how you all make money. I've been there twice and both times you've done the work for free. Neither time was in any way you're responsibility. Very friendly people. Granted, they were small 10-15 minute jobs. But thanks! I'll definitely bring my business by when I have something bigger!

Jeorge quickly diagnose the problem, and then made sure it was fixed as fast as possible. I actually was amazed how swiftly they got me back on the road. Great place!! No fuss, fair prices.
