I had a great experience here. Check engine light was on, had to get that fixed prior to smog inspection. My regular mechanic was overbooked and sent me to Crown Automotive Repair. They repaired the car, then sent me on my way to drive it for 100 miles before bringing it back to them to ensure it would pass the smog inspection. Worked out great. Cost was what I anticipated. Definitely recommend them and will go there again myself.

3 Weeks and $650 later... nothing was better off than when I brought it in. When confronted with doing something wrong they make up excuses rather than trying to make it right.

If you are a woman and afraid of being unfairly charged, or afraid of any unethical business practices taking place--Phil, Owner of Crown Automotive Repair is the mechanic for you!!!Phil and his assistant are personable, even taking time to chat with me and get to know me--a rarity in the automotive industry! For me, it's all about relationship, in my business affairs. It's important to me that people that I do business with care about me and my affairs.My soon-to-be ex-husband always handled my car repairs, given the limited knowledge I have about cars. I was referred to Phil by another great mechanic who was outsourcing what I needed fixed: replacement of spark plugs, replacement of a valve cover gasket with tube seals, my cooling system flushed and coolant added. Phil and his team fixed all of that, at a fair price. I was so paranoid that I'd be taken advantage of; I googled each repair to see the price range. Phil gave me more than a fair price!!!But Phil was honest and said the problem of the car not starting may still not be fixed. (I don't speak "Mechanic", but at the time, he fully explained why... and I even ran Phil's explanation by a friend who knew cars and my friend said it was accurate). After my car failed to start, Phil patiently explained why, and advised me to keep an eye on it over the weekend. Yesterday the engine light came on--and serendipitously I was literally down the street from the shop. So I brought it in, asked Phil to run the computer on it quickly (because the light goes off just as quickly!)Phil and his also very nice assistant, got the code and they are working on it now! I'm so grateful that Phil and Crown Automotive Repair are keeping this car on the road! It may take longer to get your car fixed but they usually get the job done at a reasonable price.Took my car in for an oil change. It's cleaner and updated now. Security has been increased. Was in and out in 45 minutes. Added air to my tires as well.

On a Friday, I took my van in for a radiator repair. They told it would take them an hour to diagnose the problem and they would call, they didn't. The shop closed on the weekend so they couldn't work on it until Monday. They told to come in on Tuesday afternoon, I came in and they backlisted me for another 2 hours. In total, it took them 4 and a half days to do a repair that should have only taken an afternoon. Not to mention it was about 300 dollars over priced, I had another mechanic confirm this. The work they on my engine was fine work. However there is better mechanics located in Pasadena with significantly more thoughtful customer service

Went here for an estimate on my vehicle knowing i had an alignment issue. They informed me it was going to cost $750.00 to get my back-end and 4 tires aligned. They didn't give me any paperwork and stated they don't give out paperwork. I thought that was weird because usually when you receive estimates at any repair/auto shop they give you paperwork on the costs, parts, etc. Also, the price threw me off because i only needed an alignment. Took my vehicle else where and they charged me $105.00. Long-story short i was overcharged for a minuscule repair because I'm a female.

Come here all the time with my truck and car both of my vehicles proudly rock the crowd automotive stickersMy truck has been exhaust switched up atleast 4 times by Ernie and his brother always fair pricing and quality work. Last week I broke my hanger bolt one call and they had me going on 5 mins.My Buick also has gone under the knife, they have good recommendations, quality brand name mufflers as well as more economic options. These guys are a quality shop that I look forward to doing business with.Not to mention they have very competitive prices on car maintenance as well.

I don t do this often but crown has exceptional service! The mechanics at this shop are truly top-notch. They were thorough, honest, and efficient in diagnosing and fixing the issues with my car. The prices were fair, and the staff was friendly and professional. I highly recommend this mechanic shop for anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy service for their vehicle.
