Tim and his team are exceptional. Not only did they take great care of my car, but went the extra mile to teach me how to use and care for it properly. His passion for both driving and service was undeniable, and he was communicative and transparent through the whole process. After one visit I m already a loyal customer for as long I drive a BMW.

Have been servicing my 2014 BMW 535I with Bimmer PhD for several years now. I come here because I have come to trust their staff/technicians, and to simply put it... I get the peace of mind my vehicle will be in good hands. The services they provide such as a loaner vehicle helps tremendously and their attention to detail is better than all the dealerships I have worked with in the past. My recent visit... Xiotchi was on top of communications and kept me in the loop with all progress which I was grateful for as the details helped with my decisions. Cant fully detail my thoughts on a post like this but my trust will be with Bimmer PhD for all my future BMW needs.

Tim & staff were exceptionally well. They were so compassionate, thorough and honest with their diagnosing my son s car. The full report was impressive and is something we can use as a check off list as we are able. Tim s expertise is unmatched and can definitely be trusted! Xotchil is a gentle soul and can answer almost any question or concern in a prompt but gentle manner. I would highly recommend Bimmer Phd for any and all auto services.

I have a 2013 E92 M3 that has been flawless with about 45,000 miles on it. Took it to the dealer for a brake fluid change and the dealership service department recommended that I pay $3,800 for a leaking rear differential. They even took a picture showing what appeared to be residual oil on the differential housing. So I took the car to Bimmer PhD for a second opinion and they could not find any sort of oil leak. I am so angry with the BMW dealership (they are located in Alhambra CA) that I won't even mention their name. Bimmer PhD literally saved my $4,000. As a result of this encounter, Bimmer PhD has me as their lifetime customer from this point on forward.

Just purchased an older 2007 z4m. Brought it into Bimmer PhD, Tim and his team did an excellent job of assisting the vehicle and recommending needed repairs and executing the repairs. Yes, I recommend this repair shop, I am also a return customer.

After 2 unsuccessful attempts by another BMW repair shop to solve the hesitations and misfiring in my 2011 528, Kevin and his team was able to diagnose and recommended the works required to completely put the car back into the proper working conditions. Very happy with the results and Kevin is very patient and knowledge person to work with. Car primarily in for a drivetrain malfunctioning problem and oil change.A very thorough/capable shop crew. Especially owner Tim, former BMW dealer lead technician, highly knowledgeable, personable and knows his profession well. Leadership qualities quite apparent.Front of the shop team is very communicative/informative, way more so than your typical dealership service. Service advisor Kevin, exceptional. Thanks also Johanna, stepping in seemlessly while Kevin was temporarily away.Main issue ended up being two engine coils malfunctioning, secondary issue a faulty oxygen sensor.The online comprehensive diagnostics report was very informative. Great for a 50,000 mile service overview and cool to be able to review beforehand.Several other services performed as well. Brought my BMW 428i in for brakes, rotors, and an oil change. Everything was done well and my car is cruising around better than ever. The customer service that Tim and Kevin provided was unmatched, even by the actual dealership. Tim taught me to navigate through the menu of my car so that I can check up on my own stats when needed. All in all, well worth the visit; very happy.

Tim is very friendly and engaging and provides great customer service with a positive attitude. I really enjoyed talking with him over the phone when I first contacted the shop and felt comfortable leaving my car in the hands of the mechanics. Although I found out I had a lot of issues to fix on my car, Kevin guided me through which issues to focus on now to be able to continue using my car until I can bring it back to continue repairs. I also loved that they offer complementary loaned vehicles!!Services: Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection

Always had exceptional service at Bimmer PHD! They are extremely transparent with their inspection reports and the proposed services. I found their online inspection report platform to be super helpful.. always included detailed pictures and descriptions to help me understand what I was looking at. Staff is super friendly and patient. Highly recommend if you are a BMW owner and want to have your car in very good hands! This level of service is 100% worth the price.

I bought a 1998 M3 that came with a large service history. One receipt was from Bimmer PhD and included a significant repair on the clutch and hydraulic system (in late 2020). Recently, the clutch slave cylinder failed, and I called them to ask if they had any thoughts or concerns about the car and/or parts and they listened to me and helped discuss the potential issue over the phone. I'm not even a customer (I'm in Chicagoland) and they had the patience to talk with me and walk me through what they thought could be contributing to the pedal feel (which is still soft at the moment). I just thought it was great to speak with a shop that was polite and patient, even though I'm 2,000 miles away and the work was done 2.5 years ago. Would certainly come here for service if I was local.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Bimmer PhD is simply the best. I've been taking my 3-series here for years. On occasion I've used licensed dealerships and other high profile service providers and I ALWAYS come back to PhD. Family owned, savant like knowledge of all things BMW, and a staff that is second to none. PhD will keep you apprised of all service needs, providing 'need to have's' vs 'nice to have's.' My most recent service included replacing my front bumper requiring full painting and dozens of replacement parts. It turned out amazing. Additionally, they now offer full detailing services so now my car feels like butter and not a 12 year old heap of sandpaper. I bought a 2005 BMW in Pasadena with the plan to drive it 2000 miles home. The previous owner serviced it at Bimmer PhD. Based on a recent service-inspection report (Bimmer PhD's inspections are quite thorough and documented with a digital report) I decided to have the engine mounts replaced. Based on my travel schedule, they got me in for service with only a day's notice! When I picked up the car I asked if they might give me quick operational run through. Tim, the shop's owner, spent at least a half hour with me going over the car's features and operation and offering tips, tricks, and wisdom. Fantastic customer service! If I lived in the area, Bimmer PhD would be my service shop, no question. Shout-out to Service Consultant Kevin who walked me through past inspection reports and got me in on short notice before I hit the road.Service: Engine repair

Top Notch! Professional team. Repaired my coolant leak, flushed the cooling system, installed Apple Car Play, and a few other items. All work was performed to my satisfaction and they kept me informed of the process while it was in for service. They also provided me with a loaner vehicle. BimmerPhD Motorsports is awesome! So thankful we found this BMW repair shop when I most needed one after my 2009 BMW X5 stalled on Highway 46 over two Sundays ago when I was driving back my niece to Pasadena where she goes to school. My car had to be towed to Pasadena with me and my niece riding along in the truck quite an experience. The driver dispatched by AAA was so nice; he drove us to BimmerPhD Motorsports, the closest repair shop to my niece's apartment he found listed on the internet. It was a blessing that Tim, owner, unlike any other Sunday, was at the shop that afternoon doing paper work and came out and offered his help when he noticed the tow truck in front of his shop. I was impressed with Tim's kindness, his professionalism, knowledge and expertise about my car, and his clear communication of the diagnostics that he and his team will do. He promised to provide me the result of the diagnosis the following morning, which he promptly did!� I liked the detailed diagnostics they performed and the pictures they provided because they gave me a good understanding of the overall condition and a reference for future maintenance of my car. They found the fuel system broke and did the necessary repairs without delay! I was very satisfied with their service and felt the total fee for everything they did was fair!� I highly recommend Bimmer PhD Motorsports for all your car repairs and maintenance needs.� I told Tim my niece will definitely be taking her 99 BMW 328is to his shop for service. I trusted this shop with performing a Pre Purchase Inspection on an M6, as local BMW dealerships no longer do PPI's. I was very pleased with the service and attention to detail. Kevin was extremely helpful as he took the time to overview the comprehensive report with me. He explained the condition of the the car in depth and as a result I had a clear understanding of what I was to purchase. I'd recommend Bimmer PhD to anyone needing service on their BMW.

I've taken my 2009 328i to Bimmer PhD ever since it was out of warranty. They have kept it in tip top shape, and now 12 years later, it still runs like new. They do an excellent job of explaining the services to be performed and provide recommended future maintenance/repairs schedules. So glad I found Bimmer PhD! I bought a used BMW i3 online from Carvana, and needed to make sure it was in good shape. Their inspection was detailed, thorough and accurate.The customer service is top notch, and as a female I didn t feel like I was being talked down to, which unfortunately happens sometimes. I've been taking my 2013 MINI Roadster John Cooper Works to Bimmer PhD for maintenance and repairs for a few years. Their service is consistently excellent. Kevin, the service advisor, gives thorough explanations of the work to be done, the diagnostic process they'rel following when needed, and a heads up on maintenance that should be done soon. I never feel that they push unnecessary services like I sometimes feel at dealers. The pre-work inspection report is thorough and helpful. I moved from Pasadena to Ontario but still take my MINI to Bimmer PhD.Services: Auto brake repair, A/C installation & repair, Brake service & repair, Oil change

Bimmer PHD is very thorough with their work and they document their findings very well. They provide photo documentation of issues they find with the car and keep meticulous records of previous findings as well as repairs done on the car from previous visits. They are not cheap but their honesty and effort to clearly communicate to me about what the car needs gives me great peace of mind that I have found the right shop to take care of my BMW.Service: General repairs & maintenance
