Not one to put a bad review after a bad experience but this was absolutely disappointing.Suffered my first major accident Friday morning at 5am, called AAA for a tow and within 10 mins, a tow truck from A-Car came.Managers and staff had absolutely no empathy, I asked questions to figure out solutions but they just kept raising their voice and talking to me like I was incompetent on the matter, considering it s my first time going through this. This location isn t opened on the weekends to release vehicles so they charged me two additional days but I find it convenient that they remain open to receive cars that are crashed during the weekend. After paying their ridiculous fees of $175 a day plus additional fees, my bill came up to $1k+ for 4 days. They still gave me attitude and made me wait two hours at home to receive my vehicle.Only decent thing I will say is that they did not charge me an additional day because I tried to take my car out on day 4 but it was late in the day.I just hope this gets to the staff to just be more emphatic towards your customers situations, not everyone is an expert on collisions and what to do afterwards.

Dishonest when it counts. This review stems from my final interaction with A-Car Auto Repair in 2008. It was so unpleasant that I feel it needs to be a part of their review history here.At the time I had been a loyal customer of A-Car for about 4 years. One of my vehicles was a '93 Volvo 850. One day it needed replacement of a leaking valve cover seal on the top of the engine. Unfortunately, when A-Car Auto Repair performed the work, they used the incorrect sealing compound (as it turns out, Volvos from that time do not use standard sealant), which ended up blocking oil circulation to the top of the engine and ultimately caused $3000 in catastrophic damage to both the cam shafts and the top of the engine case. Photos of the damage are attached, plus bonus damage caused by a cheap after-market distributor cap they replaced. The immediate side effect of this mistake was excess engine noise, which it had rolling out of their engine bay after the "repair". The service manager at the time passed this off as 'normal' for a Volvo after new seals, and at the time I trusted them because I didn't know any better. Still, I took it back several times in frustration to try and get them to figure out what was wrong, but the service manager ultimately gave up and recommended that I contact a Volvo specialist. This recommendation came about 3000 miles after they made the "repair" that destroyed the engine. The Volvo-specific mechanic down the road (JK Volvo Specialists, the best mechanic I have ever had) knew exactly what the problem was right away just from the engine sound, and pointed it out when I first drove in and popped the hood. Once they got the engine open and gave me photo proof, I contacted A-Car Auto Repair immediately and passed on the photographs of the damage and its cause, along with the contact information of the Volvo mechanic. I asked A-Car Auto Repair to do the right thing for a multi-vehicle, multi-year loyal customer and cover the cost of an extensive top-end engine overhaul.Their response was stunningly unpleasant: The business operator of A-Car Auto Repair offered me, through their service manager, an insulting $300 as a 'gesture of goodwill,' called me a liar, and told me that my Volvo 'was already damaged before A-Car Auto Repair worked on it.' I immediately drove to the shop and showed them a complete repair log with all receipts of all prior maintenance to the vehicle, including all Volvo-recommended dealer maintenance going back to the day it rolled off the dealer's lot in 1992. Until they destroyed the engine, my car had been dutifully maintained and the engine was in excellent condition. After seeing the logs, the owner of A-Car Auto offered to pay me for about half of the cost of engine repair/replacement (no refund for their so-called "repair"). Rather than waste time fighting them in court, I decided to cut my losses and take the money.A-Car Auto Repair is hands down the most dishonest shop I have ever had the displeasure of using. They were more than willing, almost eager to screw over a long-time and once loyal customer for $1500.

I contacted AAA to get my car towed to the shop and they sent A-Car Auto Repair Services to assist me. The driver Armen was very professional and took great care to get my car to the shop safely. Great service all around.

This was the worst AAA service I have ever received. The tow truck driver, Armen, was incredibly rude to me, my fianc and his father. He did not even greet us when he arrived, he would not look us in the eye, and was reluctant to answer any questions about the process. He responded with anger and defensiveness when asked any kind of question. He had an inappropriate and condescending tone throughout the whole interaction and when he left he just dropped the car off and drove away. He was completely disrespectful. After 30+ years as a AAA member, never has anyone in my family had such a bad experience.

The bad reviews tell the truth. Danny seems cool but Harry is actually an evil man and i caught it on camera. please talk to Harry about what it means to be a human and respect the fellow man.

Except for an initial delay on the arrival time predicted by AAA, the service on my drained battery was polite, efficient, and professional. The more experienced mechanic oversaw his apprentice while allowing for some hands-on experience.

Horrible customer service. I have AAA insurance and i have been trying to use my warranty on my battery because its dead but for the past 4 months they didnt have one. And each time they come out they were supposed to make sure they have the battery before they come but they would come to attempt to give me a jumpstart which is no use.

Called AAA for a tow and Eduard came did a few diagnostics, got the car started so I could take to a repair place a friend recommended. Eduard said the mechanics here are honest(!?). I trusted him and took my car there, three techs looked at the battery problem and fixed it within 20 minutes $50! That was two weeks ago.Just had an assessment: tuneup, two new rear tires and wiper blades=$645.I am satisfied and would recommend! Not many from AAA I trust but this place is good!

The professionalism of this outfit is impeccable. The man who I dealt with was more than exceptional he was precise and he was brief which is always very helpful. The most important thing about this auto shop is that they are very honest. The one thing that you have anxiety about the most when having your car looked at is whether or not the outfit is honest. A-Car , in my opinion because they are honest they're the best in the business hands down.

Called them to get a 2 mile tow to a tire shop with the expectations of paying at least $100. They told me 215 plus $15 per mile. Stay away from this super expensive price gouging tow service.

Got my car impounded Friday night. Couldnt get it out til Monday and the charged me for 4 days of storage even though it was less than 72 hours since it was towed. Now I have to get a ride to east la where my car is and their driver is taking his sweet time. Also, got to my car and the back suspension was down with the muffler dragging. Tried to tell me it was like that when the towed it.

Called AAA to have my boyfriends truck towed to his office. Fast service, constant communication, professionAl tow truck driver. I was impressed by the service and speed. To the manager Harry, your driver Victor aka Romeo was a true Professional! He's a class act. Your dispatcher is pleasant, a great communicator and cheerful in times of trouble. Thank you for a first class experience!

My car broke down last night, 20 miles from home. When the tow truck driver suggested his shop for repairs, I was a little leery- I don't like going to an auto shop without a recommendation from someone I trust. However, I didn't need to worry. My radiator was replaced the next day, at a price that was lower than the quoted estimate. Jerry was very friendly and personable, and gave clear explanations of the work done. The only downside- and this was minor- was that the work took about 45 minutes longer than was originally quoted. As I said, this was very minor. I would have my car serviced by them again.

My car was side swiped and I called AAA. A-Car Tow arrived; I informed the towtruck driver to take my car to a place in La Crescenta. He said A-Car Auto Repair was just up the street and they take all insurances. I said "No", he persisted and he told me I could have it moved the next day to another location if I wanted. Since it 11 PM at night, I said okay to transport to A-Car Auto. The next day it went south from there. From the receptionist who answered the phone to the workers. They wanted us to fax a letter of release, DDL and registration before they would could release it to the tow company. After sending this information; they said the car now belongs to the insurance co and we have no right to have it moved. (Which is incorrect). I called AAA to have them move it; guess what, A-Car is the AAA towing service and they cancelled themselves. When we physically arrived at the shop, A-Car wanted $500!! for two days of storage!!! OMG!! Finally, against the will of A-Car, our insurance company (not AAA) sent their own tow service to get it OUT OF THERE!.All A-Car wanted is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I will never use them again. I called AAA and complained big time. NEVER, NEVER use this service!! They want your money and they are unprofessional and RUDE>

Courteous, fast and kind. I had 3 Xboxes in the trunk, a Nintendo Labo, a rare Gameboy with emulators and visible valuables yet they didn't take a thing. If they got your car you're lucky, I heard two people in my Uber say they were robbed at other tow places.

ZERO STARS!!!The following occurrence happened at approximately 6:15pm on September 6th 2012:I was driving westbound in rush hour traffic on CA 210 freeway and needed to get off the freeway for my exit (N Hill Ave). I put on my blinker, slowed down to get behing a car, shifted lanes when I had PLENTY of space to shift, and noticed a fast approaching truck from behind. The truck slammed on his brakes, honked his horn several times, and then displayed obscene gestures with his hands.I proceeded to exit the freeway and when the driver pulled up on my left side, I noticed that it was a AAA tow truck from A-CAR AUTO (truck number CA 234444). The driver AGAIN honked at me, threw up his hands as if I had done something wrong, and then flipped me off several times. I took photos of the AAA tow truck so I could email them to someone at the corporate office. I called AAA and filed a formal complaint. The operator instructed me to call A-CAR AUTO. I called the company and they informed me that the driver documented the incident about 3 minutes ago . The A-CAR AUTO operator apologized for what happened and said that it was completely unacceptable.

Their driver told me to come back the next day for check engine light reading for free and when I did, they kept telling me how much it was going to cost. I told him I wouldn't have come in if I was going to be charged, and they should honor what they driver promised. They did check it, but it was a hassle.

Their quote was about double the price of the body shop I wound up going to. I suspect they get most of their business from collisions they tow in, since they're also running a tow service.

Horrible customer service and left interior of my car dirty. When I called they acted as if I was stupid and that it was dirty "because it rained". Childish and pathetic business
