I came to the conclusion that my engine was bad and needed a rebuild. The internals were sludge and was not worth machining and cleaning up. So I looked for some local import shops and luckily met Ben. Over the phone we confirmed he had what I was looking for and made the buy online. I picked up the engine the next day.This was my first engine swap and it was a great learning experience. The valve cover is not clean but the internals on this jdm engine looks brand new. Ben informed me that the compression may possibly be low due to it sitting a while. That s what happened but after being driven, it runs amazing now. I did have to do an ECU bypass due to a crank position sensor but it was no problem. No check engine light, it even passes smog.I highly recommend these guys.

Very good engine. Engine needed some remediation, but it was on the dismantler side in Japan (cut wires, coolant lines not sealed well). Other than that, the engine went in and ran smoothly.Thank you.2004 350z Enthusiast Convertible.

Hands down best place to get a replacement motor. Have bought two engines from this guy and they've come out solid! Appreciate that he helped me load it onto my truck. Do your research if replacement or rebuild is your route. JDM engines vary based on different emissions, right hand drive parts vs left hand, different sensors, different oil pans, and different measurements on pully systems. So much more. Luckily I have some experience under the hood of a car. As soon as I got the engine I visually inspected with an endoscope camera each cylinder through the sparkplug hole, and also the exhaust mainfold along with instake. You can tell a lot from carbon build up and the way it was maintained. Second thing I did was bolt a flywheel and starter and do a compression test. Always look for visible damages, most engines are removed from salvaged vehicles, cant speak for the inventory at this location. But business is business. Im a returning customer and will keep on coming back here.

1,000 mile update after install on my b20 high comp for my CR-V. It is running flawlessly after install, engine was very clean under the valve cover. I was unsure on purchasing due to being my first purchase here but I m glad I did, transaction was quick & easy over the phone and delivery was made to mechanic as scheduled. I would definitely recommend.

SoCal JDM Motors, LLC is the place to get your JDM engines and transmissions! Recently purchased an F23A4 transmission for my 2000 Honda Accord 4cyl. VTEC and unfortunately the 1st transmission I recieved from them came faulty and did not work. It was not their faults as they receive import engines and transmissions in the conditions their shipped from overseas, so it's hard to determine when 1 transmission out of 20 of them is bad. Fortunately Nick helped me out and gave me another one to exchange and this one did it, it worked and now my car shifts and performs excellent! I couldn't be happier to have my car back! NOTE* If your in the same predicament as I was in with a bad 2000 accord, all you need to switch out is the shift solenoid and speed sensor. Everything else is the same.

I had a great experience doing business with this company. I am a Subaru owner and a decent mechanic. My 2006 Outback with a 3.0 H6 needed a new engine. SOCAL JDM shipped their engine from Southern California to Portland. I had the engine delivered to my residential address and it arrived within 4 business days! Ben was a pleasure to work with. A detailed Inspection of the engine showed very little wear. While only the long block is guaranteed, nearly all of the ancillary parts were in great condition. only a few sensors around the perimeter of the engine were damaged. I simply replaced them from my old engine. Will gladly do business with SOCAL again! Thank you!

I'm going to give it 5 stars and I'll explain why. I was very hesitant on buying from this company because I have never heard of it. Also, I have never bought an engine before and had it shipped to my house. It is a big investment so there needs to be trust on both ends. Not only did I receive a great a engine but I was helped and was reassured with the questions I had asked. They sent me photos and shipped the engine, within a week I received it and it was very well packaged. The engine was in very great shape and I am very happy with my investment. Guys I'm telling you right now, HMO will have competition with these guys!

These guys are super helpful and have a ton of engines in stock. I went to their warehouse to purchase my engine and got same day delivery. The engine once installed ran super healthy! Pricing is better than a lot of other places in the area. They're a must go to for your engine needs.

Great guys with a great attitude. They take the time to make sure your a comfortable with your purchase. I bought an aristo front clip from them and the quality of the parts and the service i recieved was unmatched. Hope to do business with them again in the future!

purchased a motor we installed less than 3000 mile engin blew up they would not warrenty the engine .purchased anothr crv motor before installing it did compression test failed ,make along story short .try calling them they put block on my phone very very dishonest people .while i was there thry were talking to each other in afghanistan language they did not realized im persian and i could underestand them? i would recommend to everyone find another place to do buisness do not waste youre money .

A buddy of mine wrecked my car so I searched for a front clip TSX 2005, I called a few places and they didn't seem to care, no patience, no pictures, no customers service and then I called Ben at Socal JDM Motors. Wow the service is incredible, not only did Ben send me pictures, prices, double check the fitment of the product, but he delivered the front clip to my house since my wife just delivered a baby and I couldn't just leave the house to pick up right away. Look this guy does not play around he is all about quality service that is what we all want service! Look no further. A big thank you to Ben.

Had an awful customer service elsewhere but found SoCal JDM Motors & gave them a call. Ben was able to provide me a motor for my vehicle, he delivered it shortly after I left his shop to the amazing mechanic who he referred me to & the mechanic finished swapping my motor in 4 days with literally everyday updates on my car ! I couldn't find a replacement engine locally, so i drove from Las Vegas to SOCAL to purchase my Subaru engine. It was definitely worth the trip! The engine fired right up and ran clean with a ton of oil pressure. After 2000 miles it hasn't let leaked a drop or burned any oil. It comes right up on boost and runs strong in my WRX and hasn't turned on any check engine codes. I highly recommend Ben and SOCAL JDM when looking for JDM.
