The best shop if you want to go fast and stop fast! They did the works on my ''63 bus with a new 1955cc motor, transmission, four-wheel disc, and IRS conversion. That was five years ago and my bus runs and drives (and stops) like the day I picked it up. Does 75 on the freeway with the full camper interior and handles beautifully with the IRS conversion. Four-wheel disc allows maintaining freeway speed onto off ramps and stopping in time. They are highly skilled and the best for VWs.

Very good shop with knowledgeable staff! Russel has been in the air cooled business forever! His shop designed and built parts are high quality and designed to last for years. Cry once they said, so I did, and I m a very happy customer. I will never buy the cheap look-a-like parts from other suppliers. Kits are just parts gathered together to make the kit but if the shop doesn t use the parts on their own VW s or doesn t know what they are doing, then it s a disaster waiting. Don t buy brake kits from anyone else but Old Speed!

You re not gonna get a better Volkswagen repair shop then Old Speed. The owner is Mr. Russell Ludwig, I ve been dealing with I believe since 1983 when Russell worked out his garage. He was a prodigy then and still today. He just knows how to fix Volkswagen. Old Speed s customer service is bar none, you will definitely come out with your car running excellent and a huge relief knowing your cars now in tiptop shape!I am really gonna miss Old Speed I just moved to another state and I m gonna be lost! I was referred to Russell Ludwig (owner) from another VW company. Met Russel and let me tell you, this man is very knowledgeable on anything aircooled. He's from the Old School Era. Got into the vw scene early in life.He took the time to show us his shop and what he does. This shop is LEGIT for all air-cooled related motors, suspensions, beams, brakes, and alot more. We must of spent a good 40 mins with him educating us on his products and what goes on at Old Speed.If you want your VW to run and ride smooth, this is the place. There's a waiting list to have your vw worked on, but the outcome of what he does is AMAZING! Nice shop with cool stuff. I will be definitely doing business with him. 10 s Thanks Russell

These guys are f'n awesome!�! They know what's up when it comes to my breaks. Ordering some drop spindles because I was TOLD to by an another industry leading volks shop. "They are the best by far. They are the only drop spindles we use at our shop" is what I was told. #badass
