Super helpful and transparent. KT will discuss and show you what the actual problem with the cars is. I have an older car and in one case he recommended not getting service on it since the car wouldn't last much longer anyways. Most places would just take your money to fix it and not think anything of it, but he was honest, upfront, and actually considered you as the customer. That's hard to find a lot of places and I really appreciate it. Definitely will be sticking with them.

Man these guys work fast and efficient! I sent my car in near closing day one and it was ready for pick up (with a new alternator) by the closing of day two! I had expected to wait a few days for the part and then more for the work but they really knocked it out! I can t recommend this shop enough! I ve been coming to Advanced Motor Works since 2014 and have always received excellent and honest service. Kt and his team are efficient, friendly, and very skilled. I especially appreciate Kt s honesty - when I drove a 1996 Honda Accord, he let me know which repairs were worth it and which simply weren t. Now that I m moving and looking to sell my current car, he gave me great advice even though it meant actually paying them less. I ve referred multiple friends over the years and everyone reports an excellent experience - the shop is always busy but they fit me in quickly every time. If I wasn t moving, I d never stop coming here!

KT and Advanced made our experience as painless as possible. Our damaged 2017 Prius became a new car in their hands. We were having issues with a work vehicle, I took it to this shop and they fixed the issue, it was a loose cable, they didn't even charge us. We were also having an issue with a car battery, KT gave us suggestions and what we needed to buy and we have not had a single issue since.This shop is really close to my work, so when my car started to breakdown on the way to work, I dropped it off, they diagnosed the issue and put the new parts in. When they took it for the test drive the issue came back, so they dug deeper and found out that the engine needed replaced. They did not charge me for any labor, which saved me a ton of money, since I had to either get a new engine or a new car. I thought this was amazing, instead of paying $700 for work done on a vehicle that needed to be replaced, I paid $180 for some parts and that was it.I highly recommend this shop. They are extremely trustworthy, they do a great job, they follow up after their work to make sure you are still satisfied.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

KT was my point person and he was fantastic. They kept me abreast of the process, and my brake service was done in one day, This is the best customer service I ve EVER had with an auto shop with fair pricing. As a woman I ve often felt taken advantage of and not treated well. Advanced Motor Works changed that. I felt respected and the work was expertly done. They will be my go-to car experts from here on out!

Bought a 2nd hand car and sent it here after reading the good reviews and it went beyond expectations. Great transparency as they provided recordings of every fault. The quotation is clear and there is no pressure for you to spend more. Service and responsiveness were outstanding too.

I just made an appointment for this Friday to get my brakes repaired on my Ford Fusion. The receptionist that answered the phone was kind, thoughtful extremely informative and gave a very detailed explanation on how they do business and how the warranty works there. I have to say, even before you get there, they treat you like a valued customer in the way they did back in the old days. I ve never been excited about getting my brakes repaired, this is a first actually looking forward to meeting the team on Friday. CONGRATULATIONS on making customer service a priority!!!!!!! My experience with them is nothing short of amazing. Receptionist is a super nice guy, thanks KT! Super transparent, they document everything they find in the diagnostic with videos, super thorough check and repairs are not carried out without prior authorization from the customer. 2 year / 24k mile warranty thereafter as well. I called Dave s Auto Repair on a whim to fix a random but immediate issue with my Ford Fusion as the local Ford dealerships told me the relatively simple repair would take 3-4 days of having my car in the shop. Dave s allowed me to bring in my car on the spot on my way to work at Stanford Hospital.They fixed the issue by the time I finished work AND told me I didn t owe them anything for the repair! I of course couldn t accept such great service at no cost so paid them a cash tipis they deserved it. Big thanks for the great service and professionalism!

Dave is a very dependable mechanic. He cares about doing what's right for his customers. He and his team live to the high standards of his motto "Honesty, Integrity, Value".Dave and Patrick are friendly and professional.I've taken my 2 cars for service for several years now, and I had a few repairs done through them as well. I'm pleased with the experience and I highly recommend them.

KT and team took care of all of the many problems on our old truck. It runs like new. These folks are honest, hardworking, knowledgeable, and very skilled. Unless your car has some kind of warranty requiring a dealer to service it, I can't imagine any good reason to go anywhere else than Dave's Auto Repair.

Great service (quick and professional). The mechanic looked at the car with me before diagnostics, helped me decide my next steps, and kept me informed. The work was done well on my 2002 Pontiac Sunfire. I definitely recommend this place! It was also very convenient when they texted me when the car was done.

We took our SUV here for several repairs in 2011 and early 2012, and were pleased with their ability to handle our repairs such as a replacing window motor, seat belt replacement, power steering system replacement. Great service and work.Then things got strange. We brought our car in for the heater not working. The shop said we had low coolant and then they diagnosed a cracked head and/or blown head gasket based on compression tests. Then they also said our drive shaft is ready to fail. At this point we asked about the costs to repair and it seemed more than the book value on the car. It was several thousand $4000+ We decided not to have these repairs done. Then the shop asked us a few times if we wanted to sell the car to them. It was awkward and felt uncomfortable.We took car to get a 2nd opinion at another Shop and they only found a lose radiator hose. They compression checked and found no problems. They also checked the drive shaft and found no problems. Cost to repair about $50.The car is running fine nearly 2 years later after Dave's shop said the car had all theses false expensive repairs. Add this to the scam of the false expensive repairs and the multiple requests to buy the SUV illustrate Dave's Auto Repair is not honest, period. Be careful if you come here.

I was so anxious about finding a local mechanic that I wanted to wait till I could see my trusted mechanic who is in another state. Well, my car refused to wait that long. A good friend assured me that Dave's was the place to go. She was absolutely correct! Dave listened to me and treated me like a fellow intelligent being. My car was fixed up in a reasonable amount of time (same day) and for a reasonable price. Dave and Patrick have won me over and I'll be taking my car there without hesitation and sending all my friends there, too.

From a formerly-loyal customer for the past 10+ years: DO NOT GO HERE.Background: Dave left Dave's Auto repair late in 2017 and moved away leaving a remaining business partner in charge. That business partner, who was serving as service manager left last week, according to some new mechanic.Dave always had a steady service manager, most recently Chuck who left when Dave left. It appears all the mechanics Dave hired and brought up left in the past years or so, particularly Patrick, who was excellent. I was a happy customer for 10 YEARS up until these changes.Recent Experience: I just picked up my car at 5:00PM today and it was NOT SERVICED. I had scheduled an appointment for today two week ago and thought things were fine since I brought my car in sometime in November for a broken fan felt since the business partner and one of the existing staff, I trusted, were around.I MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR MINOR Service. I dropped my car off and had leave my keys in an "off-hours" envelope in a drop box at 8:40 this morning. NO ONE WAS THERE. This was already scary. I noticed a car left in front of the garage on top of a jack with a wheel off left from yesterday evening. That was also something sloppy and out of order you never saw.At 4:55 there was clear evidence NO ONE even started my car to check the mileage since a box with replacement lightbulbs on the driver seat I left are completely unmoved. I receive NO PHONE CALL update around noon or one - which I always get to hear if there were more issues found or if the car is on track for pickup.I decide to get a ride there anyway around 4:50 with my spare key, and hear from John, the new mechanic that the business partner\service-manager bailed, leaving him on his own, and he "was just about to get to my car." I told him not to worry, grabbed my keys off the office desk and drove away, never to return and to leave this feedback here. It was clear no one even sat in my car to check mileage as a box of replacement signals lights still sat on the driver's seat.DAVE- If you're listening- you should shut this down if you're still a business partner. If you're not - you might want to have your name removed so you're no longer associated with a business which is now a total train wreck.

These guys are great! They are honest! Integrity! They inspected my car very carefully and give out the report. This was free! I felt bad when I checked out. Even if i tried to pay the check fee and labor, they didn't take it. But they shared with me the dollars needed to fix each issue. Reasonable price! This place is the right place to go!

I've been taking my cars to Dave's (and before that Ole's, who Dave worked for) for many, many years and the only complaint I had was recently, when someone else took over the management. Suddenly, it seemed, the lot was filled with cars, the place looked a mess, and turn around time to get the cars out was delayed. Dave got the message, came and cleaned it up and put it under new management. Now it seems back to normal. The new Manager, KT (spelling?), came out to my car when I arrived, explained the new situation and promised me the car back by 5pm. At 5pm it was ready, the office had been cleaned up and KT said they were going to be remodeling soon. Thank goodness. I would hate to have to find another place to take my vehicles, after all these years. Because of the recent blip, however, I only gave it 4 stars this time. Tara

I have a '97 Chevy and had a bumper to bumper incident that jammed my hood back and ruined the hood hinges. I tried four other auto body shops in the area before I found Dave's. Three of the places named prices more than the car was worth. The fourth named a more reasonable price, but ultimately wouldn't do the work because they couldn't find hinges from when the car was made (it is still not clear to me why those specific hinges had to be used, according to that shop).Finding Dave's was miraculous. He did the work for a twelfth (no joke) of the price the first three places named and half the price the fourth place put the work at. And he did it in about three days.I could not recommend Dave's more. He's fast, efficient, and beyond reasonably priced. I can't comment on how he does with high-end cars, but if you - like me - want your car to run, there is seriously no better place to get your car fixed.

I've lived in three states and this is the first mechanic that didn't try to jerk me around or convince me to do unnecessary repairs. Chuck actually talked me DOWN from doing work I didn't need quite yet. They're also the first to CORRECTLY diagnose a problem I've had with my car for 2 years, while everyone else claimed it could be anything from power steering and fluid leaking to a broken head gasket (being too lazy to check properly). Everyone kept recommending I get a new car, because the work they wanted to do on it supposedly outweighed its value!! But I followed Chuck's advice to get new tires, he did a couple of other adjustments, and my '03 Elantra is PURRING. These guys are knowledgeable, hardworking and honest. Will recommend to everyone I know. BONUS: Your free inspection comes with an itemized and detailed "good/needs repair soon/urgent" condition report (delivered to your email). Very nice touch

Dave's Auto Repair has done the maintenance on my vehicles for quite some time. Dave's has reliable mechanics who are swift and thorough with all of my vehicles maintenance. If any part of my vehicle needs special attention Dave's brings it to my knowledge and readily gives me options on what needs to be done.Give Dave's Auto Repair a try and I believe you will not go away dissatisfied.

KT figured out a software problem on my 16-year-old BMW that had stymied two other mechanics. That's a relief.Prices seemed reasonable -- you are just paying for the mechanics here, and not for an office manager and a cushy waiting room. At the same time, they use OEM parts and had a BMW-specific programming tool, so they aren't cheap.I'll definitely come back the next time the car needs work.

I am impressed with this guy's ability to make me feel at ease, 2 cars for major service one down and one more to go, car 1 rack and pinion and power steering pump, done in short order. Quick and hassle free, offering online bill pay with after hour pickup. Car 2 engine replacement soon to be done

Amazing service!!I called Dave's about two issues with my car - a damaged bumper and speakers that weren't working.Dave gave me the name of an excellent Auto Body place to take care of the bumper.He also, after listening to my description of the problem with the speaker, recalled hearing about a similar issue. He referred me to several internet sites that had a DIY solution to my speaker issue. Dave was so helpful that I did not even have to visit his repair store. He was the definition of helpful and professional; he saved me money and time letting know how to fix the problem myself.While I did not have to go in to Dave's this time, I know where I will go whenever I have an issue with my car!Thank you!

I took my old sentra in to see why it was lacking power. Its an older car with a ton of miles so it could be anything. Dave ran a bunch of tests, but couldn't really find anything specific.I wasn't surprised, because the car is so worn, with 242,000 miles, and I didn't want to spend much money on it. He was really upfront about what he looked at, and ended up not charging me anything because he couldn't say for sure what the problem was. Really honest, and I'm going to take my car back there if it needs anything else.

I have very good experience on Nov/12,2021. They fix it on time send me the report with pictures for items need to be replaced and discuss with me. Items are replaced with a reasonable price. I came in from Colorado, to get the girlfriends daughters car fixed.They did not try to up sale me on anything and fixed everything ahead of schedule. Would go back and use them on a regular basis if I lived here.
