In and out. Super great customer service! Inexpensive and clean. I was told my truck would fail smog because 1 of the sensors hadn't reset yet. Go drive it about 20 minutes at this speed. I did what I was told came back and it passed smog. This is the only place I go to get my smog checks done.Thank you guys!!!

I had a wonderful experience with Kennard's. They treated me with respect at all times, answered all my questions, were up-front and transparent about their pricing, and did a thorough, whole-car check and maintenance service on my Honda Accord in anticipation of a long trip. I think of mechanics like doctors for cars; so for me, years of experience and using high quality parts and equipment mean a great deal. Because they have such a long, positive history and have seen a lot of cars and difficult issues over the years, I felt the price paid was a great value for the labor alone. Their seasoned expertise was what I sought and my car was well cared for. I will definitely use them again.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Drove into Palm Springs and my check engine and coolant temperature light came on. Stopped by this shop and Jim scanned the code and gave me advice, free of charge. Very kind, honest people here! Thanks Jim and Lorraine!

They lost business from just a phone call. While I m sure a fee is normal for most mechanics to look at your car to diagnose the issue, but $250? I found a way better mechanic (Kelly s) and just explained all the things that I needed to look at and why. He was so kind and even looked at my brothers car and helped him and they re making an appointment for some car work soon. Highly recommend always looking around before settling for .money grabs.

Jim and his wife Lorraine have been operating this business for over 45 years and has been doing a great job!They have a wide knowledge of most all vehicles... foreign and domestic. We appreciate their honesty when it comes to needed repairs... always checking to make sure the customer knows what costs to expect.

I had good experiences in the past with Kennard's but today when I tried to get my car worked on because it was stalling the receptionist asked if they worked on my car before and then said they weren't able to work on it due to a labor shortage and possible extensive automotive diagnostics. So I had to go to another auto repair down the road. After being in business for nearly half a century it may be time for them to sell the business to someone more interested in keeping their customers.Service: General repairs & maintenance

got my car smogged immediately on a Tuesday afternoon. they made sure my sensors initialized before wasting a test on me. the price was fair and the service was excellent.

Great people. I have taken several cars here and this business is honest, trust worthy and fair. They work with customers, explain whats going on with your car and options to fix the issue. From small issues to majors problems the staff here have been understanding when I could bring the car over to be looked or have parts replaced. Overall to have a mechanic discuss issues and explain solutions with me -a female- and not talk down to me was and is huge. It took me many years to find a valued mechanic, and this business is it.

I had my car smogged today (it required a STAR station). They got me in and out in 15 minutes. As always, I didn't have to worry about them "finding" something wrong with my car so they could make a little extra money. Kennard's might not always be the cheapest shop, but they are honest and reliable. On the few rare occasions where there was warranty work required (usually a failed part/component) they have always taken care of the problem without argument or heartburn. This is a quality shop.

Excellent customer service by a skilled, gracious master mechanic and shop owner Jim Kennard & his wife Lorraine who is very conscious of Jim's time & efforts (a good steward of their business). Experienced expert service technicians like Jim, who is as knowledgeable, kind, honest and gracious as you would ever hope to find in automotive repair is a very rare commodity of integrity nowadays. Did not pass smog check; very expensive diagnostic rates. No customer loyalty if you take your car to your dealership for repair & return for a smog check will have to pay again. Feeling of no good neighbor with this establishment. Make sure you say thank you when you give them your money!

Kennard's Automotive is undeniably the best car repair shop I've ever had the pleasure to work with; they have kept my 2002 VW GTI in top running order for almost seven years and I would not even think of taking it to anyone else, including the dealer. Above everything else they are scrupulously honest and never overcharge, either for parts or labor. I am pleased to give them my highest recommendation - you can't go wrong.Brad Geagley

I have a 1984 Jeep CJ7 and no one in this town that I've ever been to knows carburetors like Jim the owner he knew everything about that vehicle and he knew how to address every issue I've ever had so far extremely pleased wonderful family owned and operated I will always go back to them with my older vehicles
