Delightful, clean reception... the gentleman that checked me in was friendly and professional. I felt very comfortable getting my car washed there and the little store where you pay very pleasant, and I was able to get cash for a tip there. My car looked fabulous. Many times you'll get into your car after waiting for an hour and you'll find they never wiped out the console or where you might put your change or a cup of water this time at this place which I've never been to before this car wash was amazing everything was wiped down and spotless and it was very quick. I will come here in the future.

I ve driven by this place thousands of times over the past 20 years and never really paid attention to it. Today I needed to have my car smog and so I decided to stop here. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. In addition to getting smogged, I wound up filling up my tank with gas and getting a very reasonably priced full service car wash that was like no other. I definitely will make this place my regular gas station, car wash, and smog services pro in the future.Service: Smog certification

They have two locations. The people are so friendly, so professional and know their job well and most importantly, they don t try to over sell you or rip you off they re super honest. And they re full service. There s really not a reason to go anywhere else. I take all my cars there.

I m a satisfied customer for many years & once again, yesterday did not disappoint. I needed a quick last minute smog check on my vehicle. Without hesitation they worked me in. I was in & out of there in 1/2 hour. Service is efficient & friendly & price is always fair. Thank you everyone at Shell! Job well done & I ll see you next time!!!Service: Smog certification

Good place to fill up rental car prior to returning it to rental property. Gas prices seemed slightly higher than stations further from the airport but that was expected-not exorbitant. The station was busy and getting back on the street was a bit tricky due to traffic. Looked like there were mechanical services at the station too.

They are polite I can't get my car washed there because my car they said is to low not fair and disappointing the car service place that does smog is great but some of the cashiers don't like to give u a receipt odd and annoying ans I also fell im being ripped off at the pump I pay for 20 and it feels like I barely get 10 worth of gas ..

The Shell Station Garage That Made My Smoke Check Has Very Courteous Staff / Mechanics That Did The Job In A Shorter Time Than What I Was expecting. Fast and efficiently. I'll Be Back For Oil Change.

I had to get my smog testing done and they were the closest. Everyone was friendly and super chill. They made the experience so easy. There was some mixup with a coupon but they still made me a good deal. I highly recommend them. Looks like they also do repairs and car washing and detailing. Don t bring your car here to get a smog unless you like getting overpriced by mechanics. Took my car in for a smog and was charged $71 and was told I couldn t get a retest after a failed smog check. Also, I was told it failed because I had recently changed the battery and had to drive it a while longer so that the system can sync. Although it was a valid reason, the battery had been changed 2 weeks prior to getting it checked. Then he said it was recommended that I got a transmission flush, new spark plugs and all these unnecessary things that would round up to $700 worth of charges. I had just got new spark plugs and did the transmission flush recently so he was trying to hustle me and I can t recommend for anyone to get their car checked here, unless they can afford getting overpriced.

I went in to get a smog check. My truck failed the smog because I had just put a new battery in and their computer couldn't see any diagnostic because I hadn't driven more than 100 miles since install. So I paid $70 to have it fail. They told me when I come back I will have to pay to run another test which is illegal in California. They are required by law to run my vehicle again within 90days of coming back. It's only been 2 days. These guys will smile to your face and take advantage of you behind your back! DONT NOT TRUST THESE GUYS! THEY ARE SHARKS!Service: Smog certification

I go there for the hand carwash I pay for the best wash they have and I always end up having to ask to use the rag to wipe down my car properly but if you want mediocre service, and not fully efficient this is the place to go.. I will start washing my own car

Amazing service, there were several cars in front of me, so I left my car with Jasper for an oil change and they let me know when it was ready for pick up later in the day. They also gave me a free car wash! I am very pleased with the service and will recommend to friends. Thanks!

I drove over 40 min one way to get my service done at this shop; yes, they're that good. In fact, I drove here 3 times to bring all 3 of my cars for service. George and the rest of the staff provide exceptional customer service. I have a choice to go anywhere but I won't go anywhere else I get honest feedback about my cars and they provide the best recommendations to get service done right. I highly recommend you go visit downtown shell. Bonus: they have a car wash on site..get your car serviced and washed on one block.

Good Service! Attentive to my request for smog check on my new car I bought in Seattle and drove to Palm Springs. Your employee was professional, expedient, gave reasonable rates and great customer service skills. The amount of time waiting was minimal. Thank you for your great service!

This Shell is the only 24 hour gas station in downtown Palm Springs. The store inside has a good selection of snacks and beverages as well as some items for your car. Depending on the time you go, the store may be closed but the person working at the cash window will get whatever you need from inside.

I was referred to Down Town Shell from CAP who assists low income people with car expenses to pass the SMOG test. Jasper informed me he no longer accepts CAP. I went ahead and paid them $119.00 to tell me there was a hole in my gas line. Jasper complained about having to call and find the part for my car. After the work was done $300 later, my car still did not pass the Smog test, he tells me to drive it for a month for the sensors to reset themselves. I come back after a month and he said "My mechanic can drive it to reset the monitor I am charged another $119.00 and the car still did not pass the Smog test. After wasting days and hours of my time he tells me "You must need a new Cat. Convertor and oxygen sensors and I can not locate one for the year make and model of your car - Bye. I went home and called Autozone and was told they could order one for $575.00 I then called Jasper back and told him, he hung up on me. DO NOT TRUST DOWNTOWN SHELL with your car.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Smog certification, Emissions testing

Good experience at this repair shop. Took in my Tundra for a break repair. Cost about a grand for pads, rotors and labor. Quick same day turn around, dropped off at 12 and picked up at 4pm.

This place quickly going downhill, will not come back!Morning cashier asleep at the register, a bit clueless and doesn't speak English. But the bigger problem is the guy answering the phone and taking your case. Immediately you sense his stress and unhappiness as you interact with him. Abnormal and erratic behavior... oh and "speedy", I sense he may be on drugs.I came here for a smog test as advertised online. First, when you sign the paperwork he ignores you as he walks away from you, out of his tiny office without giving you instructions. Will it take an hour? 30 minutes? Should I wait around, or go and come back in the afternoon? Almost as if he does it on purpose in order to get you to ask him questions. Once you ask questions, that's when he starts belittling you and treating you as if you should know better.When the car was ready I asked him a question about the bill, as the non-English speaking cashier was charging me more than what he had quoted me. A simple question. For that he raised his voice again, began disrespecting me, says, "you should know this, you've been here before". Interesting enough, the last smog test I had done at this station was four years ago. I explained to him I'm not familiar with the day-to-day operations and fees they charge at this station. He raised his voice again, continued responding with rage and a sarcastic laugh at the same time. Scary.I'm hoping the owner reads these reviews for the better of his/her business. I can't imagine why any business would trust such a despot and arrogant employee to be the welcoming committee for his local customers.

Once my vehicles are beyond their manufacturer's warranty coverages DOWNTOWN SHELL is my FIRST CHOICE for any and all recurring automobile service and maintenance. I've been taking my cars there for gas, washes, detailing, smog checks and service for years, and their new mini-mart and improved waiting area makes it all that much more enjoyable.Service: Smog certification

No Surpises, Follows BAR rules.Folks really. You can t go by disgruntled customers that bring a gross polluter in to get smogged and they fail. Maybe they should think about caring for their car better before bashing a service facility because they can t pass a car with a filthy tailpipe. They just measure the emissions and these customers are blaming the tester? Because it didn t pass? That s nuts.Jasper is the service manager. He is real easy going. He will tell you exactly what you are looking at in the way of repairs and the costs BEFORE you even spend a dime. If there are changes, he will call you for approval.They stick to BAR standards so you never get price popped like lots of other places still do. Hey, they service my vehicles, and they run great. ASE technicians here that know what they are doing. Standard pricing on labor and they don t jack the parts real hard like many do down on Ramon near the airport. Very knowledgeable and helpful... had a few issues with my car.... Jasper was very professional and kept in contact with myself letting me know what was happening. They were quick and efficient... not over or upselling selling... I have an XK Jaguar and have no issues letting them take care of my auto needs.

My car broke down as I was traveling across the interstate with my wife and 4 kids and Jasper was eager to help me. The shell service center helped me greatly and put a priority on my service and were very concerned about doing it correctly and I thank them for that.

I had my smog test done here. Although my car passed, they didn't electronically get it to DMV and I didn't know it. I switched PO boxes around then & so the notice wasn't forwarded. My car was towed after traffic stop by police & it cost me $750 to get it back. Otherwise, they're great!
