Wonderful, prompt service! I was an out-of-town visitor to the area and my BMW developed a serious engine problem. I called European Auto on a Monday and they took my car in that day without an appt; by 4:00 p.m. the car was fixed (bad coil). All credit to the front desk staff (Arlene) for being so courteous and helpful from the outset and to the technicians who quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem.

European Auto Service was recommended to me by Mike at Mike s Smog Check #2. I was told they were super busy and that I probably needed to make an appointment months in advance. I stopped by and Lilly was super nice. She got Paul, one of the owners, who stopped what he was doing and came out and adjusted the air/fuel mixture in seconds. They were super professional and answered all our questions. Paul got my old Mercedes to pass its smog test which I greatly appreciate. This place was awesome and is now the only place I will take my car. Thank you so much!

The only place I will take my 2015MB for repair. Until I found EAS my car only went to the dealer for work. No more high repair bills and long waits. These folks are honest, knowledgeable and prices are fair.Service: BatteryService: Battery

We moved to the desert three years ago bringing along my 2007 VW EOS.A neighbor recommended European Auto Services and I am so very satisfied with every aspect of their service. Scheduling is easy and prompt with Lilli at the front desk. Incidentally, Lilli knows a lot about the ins and outs of service and recognizes routine or urgent timing for appointments. The owner, Paul is very personable in his approach and his attitude and his competence is reflected in all of the staff. Beyond routine maintenance I've encountered other more complicated service needs and each was diagnosed promptly and handled competently with no need for further returns. The waiting room is quite comfortable and spotless and pricing is very reasonable and fair and certainly lower than at most dealerships. I am so pleased to write this review in their support.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Battery, Oil change

Used this place before, and hands down the most honest, talented staff; and that starts at the very top.Pricing: Very reasonable for the quality of work and compared to the competition.Caviat *. Called for an appointment first week of the month but still have not been in there with my appointment scheduled for the 28th.

I've taken my Porsche Cayenne in a few times over the last four years for a variety of issues and they have been amazing. Recently a warning light was on and they told me to come right over. One of the mechanics looked at it right away, explained the issue (minor) and topped up the coolant level for free. I've had more significant work done and have also had regular services, which are much less expensive than the Porsche dealership. Every time the service has been prompt, they explained everything, and the vehicle was problem-free afterward. They have also recommended that I have a repair done at Porsche as it was covered by warranty, which speaks to their honesty.

Rip Off Beware!I took my Porsche in to European Auto Services, to have the front hood fixed. It was not opening.I was told it would cost $298 to repair. I thought that was high but went ahead and did it.One month later it would not open again. I took it back. This time they said it was a different problem and wanted to charge me another $195. They knew they had me, so I went ahead. Now I ve given them a total of $495 for the same issue. Then a week later the front bumper falls off, because they didn t re-attach it correctly. I had a buddy of mine, who owns a body shop, attach the bumper. He did me a favor and only charged me $100.I sent Paul and Lilly an invoice for the $100, for the reimbursement for the bumper, but they never paid it. I left many messages for Paul and Lilly but he s not man enough to call me back. This is not an honest operator. Take you car here at your own risk! Be prepared to be ripped off!

Stopped in to see if they could check out a noise my car 8s making. one of their mechanics came out and looked at it but said he would need more time and asked that we make an appointment to bring it back. He also recommended that we limit driving it. The earliest they can get it in is 4 weeks away!!!!! When i asked the receptionist why so long she said because they are that good. Hmmmm, they come in 22nd on the top foreign car mechanics in the valley. Not top 10 or even top 20.

Reliable and trustworthy. Took the car in unannounced Paul took a look at the problem and told me what had to be done. They did the work and had the car ready for pick up as promised the next day. Great service with no friction.

OK Service. No way can a schedule A service on a mercedes benz be done in 12 minutes. AND if that's the case, why was an hour charged? It was a" Dump & Go" according to another tech I spoke to. Disappointed.

We were on a visit from Bend, Oregon to Palm Desert in our '04 Porsche Cayenne Turbo when our check engine light came on half way through our trip. I called my mechanic in Bend and was told if it was solid and not blinking it was an emission problem and would be ok to drive. Well that was all good but I wanted it fixed. I called the Palm Springs Porsche dealer ... he could see us in two weeks to diagnose the problem. We were going home in a week.My wife looked up Porsche service companies and fortunately I call European Auto Service first. They were swamped but said come on over and they would do a diagnostic. They found a leaking crankcase breather line. If I could leave the car the next day they would fit it in. Their lot man could drive me back to my hotel and picked me up the next morning. What a wonderful company to take care of an out of town visitor just like I was a regular customer.I'm telling this story to my fellow members at the High Desert Porsche Club. If they ever have car trouble in Palm Springs this is the place to go.Sincerely,Lawrence Johnson

I'm sorry I can't give it less than 1 star. I've used this facility numerous times. Usually the service was satisfactory. However my last visit resulted in service that was life threatening; upon pointing the error out to the owner my concerns were dismissed as inconseqeuntial and incorrect. Below is my email to the company, and their response.Let me preface this with the fact that I am a commercial pilot, educated on altitude and temperature effects on air pressure. To European Motors:"I had my BMW in on Friday for a 10,000 mile one year service. We had not used the car in months and were leaving Saturday for a 3000 mile trip. When I got the car back I specifically looked at the invoice to make sure the tire pressures were checked, especially after the vehicle had been sitting for 3 months unused. The invoice said "tires checked". I therefore reset the TPM knowing that the tire pressures were now adjusted to recommend.I drove the car to Mammoth Lakes the next day (7500 ft). At 7500 ft., tire pressures increase by 3-4 lbs. The following morning when I got in the car, I had a notice "Left Front Tire Pressure Low". I drove to a service station, checked the pressure and rather than the 32 lbs + 3 lbs for altitude or 35lbs, what would have been expected, the pressure was 20lbs. I filled the tire, looked for damage, nails, screws, etc. and seeing none decided to just monitor the tire. Later that day, I got back in the vehicle, and had a warning, "Right Front Tire Pressure Low". I went back to the service station, the right front tire was at 22lbs. I filled the tire and decided I'd better check the rears. The rears, instead of measuring 39+ 3 for altitude or 42lbs, measured 30lbs each.I relied on your service and the items you claimed to have checked. Our equipment and lives were put at risk because your mechanic did not do what was claimed to have been done. I am livid! This is unconscionable. Whoever did this work should be terminated. If this happened to us, how many others has this happened to? This needs a resolution or I'll be more than happy to share this experience with others so it doesn't happen to them. This is not a trivial matter, you have people's lives in your hands, people depend on your professionalism."This was their response:"Mr. Jones,I am sorry to hear you are disappointed. The change in temperature effects the pressures in the tires. During our routine oil services, we do check all fluids and tire pressures.I will speak to my technicians and make sure we are all performing to our standards. For future references, The main reason for this is the dropping temperatures, which cause the air to become denser and consequently lower the tire pressure. Of course, tires naturally lose pressure over time, and there can be a puncture. ... Colder temperatures will cause tire pressure to drop about 1 psi for every 10F drop in air temperature."To which I replied:"Being a pilot I am very aware of the effect of temperature and altitude, in this case, they cancelled each other out. Those tires were all under inflated by 8-12 lbs each. They were never checked."The response I received - none. This is not a trivial issue to be dismissed like this. NHTSB reports hundreds of deaths and over 75000 injuries per year in the U.S. from tire blowouts, many resulting from improper tire pressure.

I was traveling through the area two days before Christmas when my VW Eurovan flashed warning lights. I called European Auto Service and they fit me in the same day. They checked the errors, did a basic clean up and adjusted some items. The van was done the next day and is now running great with a few items that were issues previously fixed. There was no charge for the diagnostics and simple cleaning. These folks are trustworthy and know what they are doing. They would be my primary shop if I lived in the area.

Gracious, helpful, kind and professional service. Felt like a little Christmas gift, getting some quick repairs ahead of a trip. We need more companies offering service like EAS, and not only in the auto repair sector.

I went by to see about getting a battery replaced and, after entering my information into their computer system, I was told I would receive a quote via email. I never heard from anyone at this establishment again.
