I destroyed second gear on my 1996 Mercedes S600L. The local Mercedes dealership and transmission shops were either liars or clueless regarding how best to sort this out. I reached out to Marc. He and his team made the replacement process fast and simple. He was knowledgeable, pricing was great, he was helpful determining how best to resolve everything, patient answering all my dumb questions , and professional. During the swap I also realized the driveshaft had been damaged during the same incident. Marc had a unit shipped to me ASAP in northern Canada. They clearly take great pride in their service. Other shops could learn a few things from them. This is the experience you want customers to have. If you have an issue with your Mercedes transmission this is the only place to contact. Sun Valley Mercedes is really truly a special organization. From the CEO to the transmission specialists, these guys know Mercedes transmission better than anyone I know.My 1987 300d needed an overhaul. Previously, I took another one of my Mercedes Diesel for an overhaul and Sun Valley did an excellent job.When the overhaul was done with my 300D, Marc suggested I take the car to my mechanic for some fine tuning which I did. For some reason, I had trouble driving the car on the freeway, so I thought the transmission was the issue.Marc asked me to come in the morning time and he reviewed the transmission and let me know that everything was perfect on his end and that the central issue was the mechanic needed to fix the schematic on the car. Then I took the car back to the mechanic and he was finally able to get my car working right.Let me just say that now the transmission shifts better than when the car had 20k miles on the engine---I am not joking. I am absolutely overjoyed with the work that Marc and his team have done.For anyone who lives close by, or perhaps in another state and is looking for a perfect transmission overhauling specialist, I give Sun Valley Mercedes my highest recommendation. Marc cares about the well being of his customers. Moreover, his commitment to service is truly awe-inspiring.Marc thank you again for taking time out of your busy schedule to help me out. I hope my transmission never goes bad again but if it does, I will be taking it to your shop for sure. take care.

Had them do a rebuild for my 1990 300te. Fast turnaround, excellent work. Very happy with the new transmission. Local mechanics were pushing for "generic" rebuild shops, but in my experience a "rebuild" doesn't always mean the same thing, so I decided to take a chance and I'm glad I went with the Mercedes experts.

I m a classic Mercedes collector and mechanic. They built me a new transmission for my 190e and had it shipped all the way to TN. They did an outstanding job, above and beyond my expectations. Unit looks brand new. My new transmission is about 1 year old and shifting better than new. I will be a repeat customer, these are THE Mercedes trans experts. Purchased a Rebuilt transmission for a 1992 400E.We are located in Pueblo Colorado.Marc shipped it here and paid to have the core returned.Saved Thousands of dollars doing this as No one here was interested in accommodating the job except for Stupid Money.Thanks for the Customer Service and Fair price.You Guys Rock!

Excellent rebuilders and the only choice on the west coast if you care about what you receive. I relayed good feedback upon my installation 50k miles ago. I've changed the fluid twice as recommended by the shop and both times there has been absolutely zero wear. The fluid was still bright red and after draining and filtering the old fluid to check for metallic particulates, there are none, and hardly even any dust on the bottom of the pan.I've relayed my recommendation over the years on Mercedes forum's (username ps2cho) and hope to continue sending business their way. The owner even messaged me on the forums to thank me for the overall review after my first fluid change a few years ago. A nice touch to show they care.-Robert1988 Mercedes 300TE still shifting like new...probably better than new, actually.

The best source for Mercedes transmissions. We are a Mercedes workshop and know quality when we see it. The owner is a real gentleman also and freely gave his advice to us on the phone which ultimately got us out of big jam.

German Motors received a transmission for a customers S 420 we installed it and the customer said "My Mercedes has never shifted so well, not even when it was new"! For all you shop owners out there, Sun Valley Mercedes Transmissions is the only way to go. Thanx Mark!

Simply the best place in North America to have your Mercedes transmission rebuilt---period. I took my 300SDL here which had a faulty transmission. One different shop tried rebuilding it twice and failed; they finally admitted that the place which would certainly fix the problem, no question, was Sun Valley. I took my car to Sun Valley, and they completely rebuild my transmission in 1/3 the time of every other shop's estimate. 53,000 miles later, the car shifts like new. I just had the Mercedes dealership change the fluid and filter and they told me that the transmission looked brand new and didn't even need a service. Haha! Sun Valley is that good.

If i could have towed my merc there in time i would have saved over $1000 on getting my transmission done (with warrantied work, etc). Hopefully use on any future project.
