Played April 8th, 2024. The back 9 is worth the price of admission, which by the way is not bad at all considering the location ($67 with cart). Greens were a little slow but it was mid-spring and I'm guessing they recently punched them. The front 9 has a few interesting holes but isn't anything to write home about. If you're going to be in the Monterey area I would strongly advise playing here, even if you only have time for the back 9. It's worth it.

Pacific Grove GL, known as "The Poor Man's Pebble Beach," is a misnomer as this course has its own charms. It is a shorter course, with wide open fairways and receptive greens.Uncomparable natural beauty as it winds along parts of 17 mile drive and views on the ocean. The working light house and black tailed deer add a nice distraction to your round. Watch out for the crows! When you are not watching, they will rob your golf cart!77 Asilomar Dr., Pacific Grove, CAOn Fri-Sun $82, $105 with cart* Great value - Views are priceless!

Breathtaking view on the back nine. It's hard to believe this is a public course. It will be foggy in the morning. The course is not difficult.

First time golfing for me and my husband says let s go to Pacific Grove. It was very intimidating at first. But I had so much fun! The views are amazing. We went in March mid day and it was quiet. Visited the driving range first. The course is well cared for. Even had a visit from a few resident deer.

Always fun, love this track. The whole 18 is great, although the back 9 is where Jack created a masterpiece! imo. Poor man's Pebble as we call it. Same ocean, same great views a delightful treat that let's you step back in time. Enjoy

The poor man's pebble beach!!! Front 9 was nice. The greens were a little bumpy. But the back 9 is on the ocean and absolutely beautiful!! Don't hit it off the fairway or your is there a way or you're in a gigantic sand dune sandrap!! That explains my 11 on number 13 L o l. Absolutely worth the $90! Be careful of the cypress trees they will eat your ball! Seriously we had 2 balls go into the trees and not drop out!!?!

Lovely little course. Views of the Pacific Ocean along the back nine take the sting out of any duffed shots. Not many tricky holes to confront, which a duffer like me appreciates.

We had a great day on the course. The weather was beautiful.... A little windy out by the ocean. We were paired with a wonderful couple from Oregon and had a great time. The course was in good shape and provided a challenging dichotomy from the front nine to the back. The front 9 holes has lots of trees with a couple of long and hilly par fives. The back 9 holes is out along the ocean with more of a links style play. The clubhouse is well appointed and the staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back. One of the best values in Monterey County.

What a great little course! Played an early morning back 9 and I smiled the whole time! $33 to walk 9 on this real estate is amazing. Course was in much better condition than I thought it would be because of the price, and I spent most of my round soaking in the view. Some reviews have criticized certain holes, but on the back 9 it s basically all amazing. Sea views on every hole except 10.Although this course is very short and I wouldn t call it challenging, you need to be able to hit straight shots and putt if you want to play well. Really fun if you can t afford your 3 month salary to play one of the other courses on the peninsula!

Location is perfect, service is great. The waffle was amazing. Too bad my eggs on the Benedict were overdone. Generous portions and lovely place all around. A favorite in Pacific Grove.

Link styled courses are not my favorite, this one with its views of the back 9 holes, worth a visit, particularly with the current prices. I wish the conditions were better though. Very windy in the afternoon!

Legends of the Autobahn Auto Event-Pacific Grove Golf Course:This annual event is held at and on the Pacific Grove Golf Course, rented by the show sponsors from the golf course. I'm sure that this is a sensitive relationship to maintain, in that cars leave a very different mark behind that a golf ball does...! What a privilege to have such an iconic location! I arrived at the auto show at 6:45 am and was already about 12th in line. Well organized, friendly staff to guide the cars and drivers to their appointed location for the event. It was the usual low marine layer/fog, which burned off about 10:00 am into a blazingly beautiful day!I say again about the staff, because the next day, I took the car to the Quail Lodge Auto show, and while it was interesting to view the cars and listen to the marketing of these high end automobiles, the access is a REAL pain in the you know what. AND the staff with some exceptions of the contractors who were setting up the evening before, were not very friendly or engaging. Exception: the events location where one picks up the goodies bag of items. My wife who has a disability that is not visible was castigated for walking what she thought would be an OK short cut and was rudely pushed into some wood chips and brush. I watched another encounter with other guests, who were treated the same abrupt way. I found the staff generally either short or indifferent, and "mailing in" their time at what is supposed to be one of the premier events of the Monterey Auto Week high-end event calendar. Credit goes to a California Highway Patrolman who strode up, and after listening, was kind enough to help us. I would NEVER attend this event again. For the cost of attending, they should be falling all over themselves for the guests. Too bad.Back to the Autobahn event - great people, more informal, great owners who are only too happy to talk about their cars and experiences with them - good and bad. The owners next to us had driven their 1972 2002 tii from Maine to attend. Wow! All in all, worth the drive down, and surprise, surprise, the car actually won an award. Nice going car...!!For first time attendees, the instructions on how to get there and what not to do (it is in a nice neighborhood) could have been clearer. And there is no-one to call to get additional information about logistics. A small detail, but for us important. Overall, great job BMWCC. And if you are someone who yearns after one of these iconic BMW cars, there are enough to drool over there, just mop up afterwards...

Very beautiful course especially the back 9 and also very challenging with the wind and the fog. The restaurant close early so you have to find somewhere else to eat after the game.

There is a reason they call it the "poor man's Pebble Beach";many holes ride the coastline and though it plays short for some it's a wonderful test of golf.

Pacific Grove Golf Links is one of my husbands favorites. He doesn't care how inclimate the weather is. He loves the walk-ability of the course, the scenery and most of it is the Monterey Peninsula. Next door to the course we found a Golf Moose painted in monarchs that watches over the course. PG Links is well kept, clean and reasonably priced. It is a wonderful course in one of the best locations in the world.

Hole 11-18 are among better holes in Pebble beach area. Scenic, windy and challenging. $45 green fee walking is unbeatable!

Pebble Beach experience for 90% of the price. Enjoyed my round there and was lucky enough to have two locals show me the lines. Thanks Osmond and Steve!

Not the fanciest course in the area by any stretch, but a great value with beautiful views on the back 9. Nice practice putting greens. Very nice restaurant with a charming outdoor patio.

Wonderful views on the back nine of this course. Fairways and greens long ( not recently cut) - greens would also benefit from rolling.Restaurant deserves a 5* review as breakfast was outstanding. Food superb (eggs Benedict) service excellent and views from the patio beautiful.

Great course, driving range is very basic (single turf strip, ball machine works half the time, closed intermittently with no explanation)

We were most impressed with the friendly & welcoming greeting the moment we stepped into the restaurant by our waiter Carlos. We shared the huevos rancheros. The portions are generous & very tasty. Water was served the moment we were seated & coffee refills were provided by our attentive waiter. Carlos ... thank you for the first class service you provided with your big smile! What a great way to start our day.
