The bike ride of my life!! Staff were very courteous and knowledgeable. The bike path was conveniently located very close by. The bikes were in excellent working order. Awesome 17 mile drive!!

What a great way to see part of 17 Mile Drive. The guides (Katy and Taylor) were a pleasure and full of local knowledge. We highly recommend the tour and Big Sur Adventures for your biking needs.

All of the staff that I interacted with via email and in person were just amazing, kind, and courteous. The bike was just perfect complete with a saddlebag for the lock and my personal items. I biked the 17-mile route and had the most awesome experience. Highly recommend +++++

Excellent experience renting from Big Sur Adventures! So conveniently located right by the 17 Mile Drive. Awesome and comfortable equipment, outstanding customer service, every detail taken care of. We had a great time riding! Thank you for a fantastic experience. 10 out of 10, we'd come do it again!

Flo, our guide was wonderful! He made us very safe and comfortable and his stops to give us information were perfect to understand the area, plants, ocean and the beauty. I couldn't get over all the eye candy surrounding us on the tour. This was the highlight of my vacation.

We drew an absolutely beautiful sunny afternoon for our e-bike tour along 17-Mile Drive. It was just my wife and I, and then another couple on the tour. Our guide was Ben and he was outstanding, just so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.I can't say enough good things about the tour. It is a great way to get back into 17-Mile Drive without having to pay the $10 just to drive on the road. You stop at a bunch of gorgeous lookout spots along the beach. If you are a golfer, like me, you also go by all but one of the great courses right there. They also stop and give you 30 minutes at the Pebble Beach clubhouse toward the end of the tour. You can wander through their golf shops, go down to behind the 18th green, etc.The e-bikes are a blast. Your guide will give you a lot of training, but when you take off with the throttle for the first time, it kind of catches you off-guard. It's real easy to pick up, however, and then it becomes a lot of fun. You can pedal some if you want, or just use the power.If you are at all considering doing this on a visit to the Monterey/Carmel/Pacific Grove area, definitely do it. It is so much fun, and the scenery is just incredible.

This tour was great fun! It was a great introduction to electric bicycling. The scenery was gorgeous and the tips on clothing were on target. I would recommend for anyone going to this area!

This was our second time renting e-bikes for the 17 mile drive. Enjoyable. Only my seat gave me pain towards the end of our ride...next time I will ask for a better seat. Thank you

Our tour guide was Flo. He was full of information and shared history about the botanicals, sea life and the general living and lifestyle on the 17-mile drive coastline. Riding the electric bikes were so much fun. Big Sur Adventures provided gloves and helmets. Since I m an occasional rider and very nervous driving alongside car traffic or near other cyclists, Flo made sure I was safe and comfortable with my bike. He used all safety precautions as we crossed the roads. It was an absolutely beautiful day not cold or hot but just right. I could ve stayed out all day with Flo. I learned how seals mate, how they were nearly extinct and how they multiplied. I have a greater respect for the Cypress trees and plant life. Standing at the 18th hole and shopping at Pebble Beach, even for a brief moment, was exciting. Thank you Flo. This was a memorable experience. We will back for sure!

Great experience from start to finish! Great advice and tutorial from the staff to help us make it a safe trip! Highly recommend the e-bikes! They were very easy to use and made the ride leisurely rather than making us have to work hard for the beautiful experience. The e-bikes also made all the difference for the kids on our trip ranging from 6 - 15 years old (they had attachments for the younger ones to ride with an adult). I would recommend this experience/ outfitter to anyone I know who is planning a trip to the area. It should be on your list along with kayaking in Monterey Bay to see the sea otters. (Skip the Monterey Bay Aquarium unless you visit in the off-season - way too crowded to enjoy!)

Can t recommend Big Sur Adventures enough! Zane, our guide was amazing! His knowledge of the ocean and the environment is extensive. It is more than worth the cost of the tour. Enjoy!!!!

Flo was a great guide! Had a smaller tour group, so it felt more personalized! He has lots of great facts about Monterrey and the wildlife. It was very breezy that day, but beautiful nonetheless. We saw otters and harbor seals, and lots of birds on bird rock! Highly recommend if you re in the area!!

Excellent experience... It was obvious that our guide Flo really has a passion for what he does; warm personality, extremely knowledgeable, and customized our journey! He was interested in what we wanted to see and pointed out sea otters, whales, golf courses. The quality of the e-bikes were superb and pace was pleasant... such a beautiful way to experience 17 mile drive. We had wonderful weather and little vehicle traffic because it was the end of January. I was grateful to spend this memorable time with family on my 60th birthday, and Flo truly made it special. I would definitely recommend this ride to anyone visiting the Monterey-Carmel area... spectacular views!!

We had a great time. Beautiful views. Nice ride. Not too strenuous for me after having had knee surgery in December yet enough to keep my adult kids flying on the bikes. Highly recommend this tour with Big Sur Adventures. Our guide Ben was great. Took pictures for us at the best photo op spots.

I want to preface by saying while Im writing this review in march of 2023, I did the bike tour in November of 2022. While visiting my sister in California we stopped at Monterey for a few days and decided to do this 17 mile bike tour. Easily the best part of the two week trip was this tour, it was absolutely beautiful biking the coast around Monterey just before sunset. Our tour guild Flow, who I fully recommend asking for, took us around the 17 mile trail taking in the scenic views while explaining the fauna, animals, and natural beach and rock formations of the area. He even detoured us to the butterfly migration forest patch when we asked to take in the monarch butterfly flutters in the tree groves. We were able to see some wildlife on the rock formations such as seals and various types of birds and we even were able to stop and hold a live star fish which is surprisingly cold and hard from what we expected a living creature would be.The tour itself was amazing but the bikes were so much fun to drive around on. You can use as little or as much power assist as you want making the ride very relaxed and invigorating.I fully recommend anyone staying in the Monterey area to do this tour, its so much fun and relaxing. If I could I would give more than 5 stars! Next time Im in the area Im doing it again.

Had the most wonderful experience with Big Sur Adventures. The E-Bike was in great condition and easy to operate. It was my first time riding an E-Bike, too!The tips and directions they gave for riding on the 17 Mile Drive was invaluable. I had an amazing ride!Thank you!

This place was great. Victor was our guide and he was an absolute blast! Very friendly and fun and outgoing. All bikes are top notch. Entire staff is friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough great things about them!!!

Our tour guide Flo was awesome and I loved the tour! We got to see the lone cypress, bird rock and a bunch of other great stops with wildlife along the way! Some of the drivers however are not nice so just be cautious

An fun and easy ride along a jaw-droppingly stunning and rugged coastline. We saw seals, deer and abundant bird life; rode past amazing mansions and golf courses including the iconic Pebble Beach golf course and through an old cyprus forest. Our guide was very knowledgeable, snacks were provided and we the weather was great on the day.

Our 17 Mile Drive e-bike tour with Zane was a major highlight of our trip to Monterey. As we had never ridden e-bikes before we were a little apprehensive about safely riding around in real auto traffic. Zane was an excellent and patient teacher, letting us practice a little before the rest of our group arrived. He was also very knowledgeable about the area we toured and expert on the local wildlife. We'd go again in a heartbeat.
