Great experience! We did the 2.5 hour ride which was perfect just enough time to enjoy the trails without getting TOO sore! Our guide, was super helpful and shared interesting tidbits about what we were seeing on the trail. The horses got spooked by a hiker at one point, but she calmed them down easily and it went so smoothly! Loved it so much, this is definitely something you should take the time to do!

Rode with Kimberly on her 2.5 hour ride and it was a ture Northern experience. Taking in all the sights was much enjoyable on horse back Kimberly was very knowledgeable about her horses and the trail and to my surprise the horses knew the days hike with very little direction thank you Kimberly for a real life good time.

Such a peaceful and beautiful ride on very well-behaved horses through the gorgeous redwood forest. An experience my husband and I will remember! The staff were great too

My family did the 2hr Majestic tour. The Buckarettes were all super nice and knowledgeable about not only riding and their horses, but also the environment we were riding in. Kimberly and Mercedes were fantastic as were all the horses. All of us including our 7 yr old loved the tour. This was definitely the highlight of our trip to Redwoods!

This experience felt like true magic to me. My husband and I did the 2 hour experience. The redwoods are already incredible, but having a horse as your "tour guide" adds an extra layer of wonder to the experience. I rode Red, and he had so much personality and was really affectionate. I was particularly impressed by the trail, as not all redwood trails are created equal. It was the icing on the cake for our trip, and an experience I will never forget. Well worth it.

We had a fantastic ride through the old growth redwoods. The horses are wonderful and Kimberley was a terrific guide with lots of great natural history information. I highly recommend this unique experience.

Really nice two hour trail ride. They accommodated us last minute! Their horses were sweet and well trained great for beginners but mine even knew how to turn on forehand and respond to leg only cues (i ride at home) so they are clearly trained beyond the basics.

This experience was the highlight of our trip! We can't say enough good things about this place. I reached out beforehand with questions and was promptly answered. We did the Goose Pen Tour with Kimberly. The meeting place is so picturesque and the trail was so beautiful. Kimberly was a great guide - very clear and direct, which is exactly what I want in a trail guide. I felt very safe and that she gave the right amount of instruction for people new to horses. The horses were also VERY well trained and calm. We had tucker and Dakota. We really just had to sit there and enjoy the ride. This experience has made us want to take horse riding lessons and continue going on trail rides. Thank you Redwood Creek Buckarettes! We hope to see you again:)

Awesome ride with great horse women and well trained, seasoned, beautiful horses. Kimberly and Mercedes were so informative, yet non-invasive.the relationshtabsolute quiet of the horses' hooves on the trail and the creaking saddles. So, so relaxing.

Great experience, nice folks running this outfit. We were running a little late but they went with the flow and we all had a great ride through the redwoods.

Amazing horse back riding in the Redwood National Forest. The guides were very experienced and wonderful to ride with. Horses very well taken care of and were so lovely. You could tell those animals were loved and part of their family. We feel so lucky we were able to get a reservation to do the 1/2 day ride. Lunch was served to us at a quiet picnic spot in the trees. Was surreal how nice the trail was. The meeting area is well kept and bathroom facilities were avail and very clean. Next time we re down, we will do a full day. So much to see! Thank you for the amazing time!

Such an amazing experience. Had Mose and Dakota as our horses. Extremely fun time. Great to be the only two since there was no other people. They were so nice to take us in and show us the magic of the Redwoods! You really see the sites riding these horses. Thanks for a great time!

Too bad this review only has 5 stars to give or I would give it more ! My wife and I got married in the fall of 2015. While planning the honeymoon I saw a Visa commercial with the Redwood Creek Buckarettes in it. I looked the Buckarettes up on the web, called them and booked the 4 hour ride with a picnic. All I can say is WOW ! We did the self guided auto tour of the Redwoods as well as the tourist traps related to the Redwoods and there is NO BETTER WAY TO SEE AND EXPERIENCE THE REDWOODS THAN ON HORSEBACK ! The Redwood Creek Buckarettes are a class act.

Absolutely horrible customer service!!!Please consider another trail ride. We were on our way to our ride and the Highway was closed for 2 hours. We called to to them we could not make it by our appointment time and they refused to provide a refund because we did not give 24 hours notice. We spoke to Kimberly to cancel on the day of the ride and she said she would have to process the refund. After 2 weeks, no refund. I called and spoke to Kimberly again and she said it should have gone through and that she would call me back, which she never did. 4 days later I emailed and got a response from Kristina that we would not be getting a refund because we did not give 24 hours notice. How can you give 24 hours notice when you are on your way and the only road to the location is closed for 2 hours?

Christina and the girls were awesome and the horses are incredible. It's been 2 days since our ride and all we hear from our 7yrs. old son Mason was his horse Nico. We might have to do this an annual thing coz me and my wife loved it too.

We had so much fun! It was sort of a last minute idea for us, to take horses for a tour. (Instead of continue our hiking). Its a slow-paced tour, perfect for novice horse riders like us. We were two adults, one 14 year old, and one 11 year old. You meet them at the Rodeo Grounds. Mom/daughters run the show. Very cool.

A beautiful experience. I was a little nervous to ride a horse I dont know but our guide was amazing. She chopped a tree limb and handle our horses along with her own. The buckerettes clearly take amazing care of their animals. Don't miss this if you are in the area.

The woman that led the horses was incredibly mean and rude to me, and nice to my son and husband but to me on my birthday that she knew about, was yelling at me and telling me I was doing everything wrong, and handle things horribly. The only reason I'm giving a star at all was because the horses were good and her assistant was nice. But accusing me things I never did and perprosely put me behind my sons horse when she knew that horse wanted to be right behind the horse that was supposedly going to kick my horse if it got to close so I stayed back but towards the end of the trail my horse wanted to trot to get home and she freaked out on me for trying to stop the horse. And to tell me that I was going to fall of the saddle when I wasnt leaning in any direction. Either way she was rude, and I'm never going back, I would say rather go somewhere else where I won't be singled out and treated badly. The horses and trail were the best part. Customer service was garbage

We were late due to an error and boy, she wasn't too friendly or helpful in making our vacation a good time. Kinda crabby, but It was my dumb mistake in first place. Maybe next time we can see the ride
