Randy & Gail at Tom s Radiator & AC saved the day, my Freshman son s move-in to Chapman and maybe my sanity. The night before a 900 mile+ road-trip to Orange from Northern Oregon, my AC blew. It was Saturday am when we left, so most shops were closed, but I managed to get it pressure-tested 2 hours into the trip. Failed, so I drove with my three kids from Hood River, OR to Orange, CA with no AC in August. 111 degrees was the highest temp we saw. It was awful. Once we finally arrived after one night in Sacramento, reception at the Ayres Hotel in Orange recommended Tom s. I called and spoke to Gail as soon as they opened Monday morning. She confirmed they could assess the problem (with the assessment fee going toward any work done) and had me come right in. She and Randy both were so warm and welcoming. I left the car, approved the estimate by phone once they knew the problem, and hoped it would be ready by the next morning so we could make my son s move-in time at Chapman University. Amazingly, they received the needed part sooner than expected and called to say it was repaired and ready, same day, right before they closed for the evening. I was so grateful and relieved. Loved hearing about how Randy s dad (Tom?!) opened the shop when Randy was 11 years old, and upon his high school graduation asked if he wanted to go to college or start working at the shop as long as he got a haircut. He did and has been there, doing excellent work and probably saving the day for countless people, ever since. They offered to help my son with any car issues he or his friends may have, or to just stop in if they need any help or have questions about the area. Such real, genuine, ethical folks- cannot recommend highly enough. Oh, and of course my AC is working perfectly as this Momma moves her oldest into college today and then heads back up north, grateful.

We are from Florida, while traveling to California my wife had some A/C trouble. . Not knowing any shops in California I relied heavily on reviews. Chose Tom's, made an appointment and got in quickly. What a blessing. The whole interaction was amazing. They were thorough, honest, reasonable and genuine! No hidden fees or agendas. I highly recommend this shop!Thank you Randy and Gail! You folks are awesome!

I'm really happy with the work Randy did on my diesel K5 Blazer. The radiator was shot so he re-cored it with a very high qualify 4 core unit. Also replaced the water pump and backing plate. They used very high quality parts on everything the replaced (e.g. Gates hoses, AC Delco). I know enough about mechanics to know that they didn't take any short cuts. I probably could have saved a $100 to $200 going somewhere else, but I'm glad I didn't. I highly recommend them.

Stopped by and spoke with Randy, immediately I knew I had come to the right shop to have work done on my classic car. Randy was able to squeeze me in same day and now my 1964 Cadillac Coupe de Ville runs cool. Highly recommend, if I ever have another need for friends or my other classics I'll definitely recommend and be back!

Great old-school shop which rebuilds Radiators. Not many of these around and I feel lucky that I found Randy and that he was able to replace the core on the radiator in my classic truck! The rebuilt Radiator looks great and seems to work well.

Very pleased.... reasonable costs unlike a large shop I got a quote from. They replaced a radiator in a 2012 Chevy and topped off AC. They have worked on several very large machine oil coolers over the years for us. Very pleasant to work with.

Excellent work done to fix my air conditioning, which I didn t have to take out a loan, to pay for. Clear and precise on everything they did, plus they even went out of their way, last minute, to find a part that we weren t aware of needing until the job was almost completed. I would give them 10 stars, if I could...

Overpriced. They were charging me 1500 to replace conpressor and i was charged 780 somewhere else

This is a place you can trust! I've had a problem with my AC for about 5 months. Thinking it would be a quick fix, I brought it to a dealership in Mission Viejo where they filled up my Freon, charged me $200 for the service and it still wasn't fixed. I didn't mind the cost if it was going to fix my car, but they couldn't figure out why it was still happening when I called in to tell them. After several unsuccessful visits to other repair shops over the next couple of months, I tracked down Tom's Radiator. Skeptical after my failure to solve the problem, I asked for a quick check up to see if they knew anything about the issue. The owner Randy inspected my car for a minute, discovered the problem, and offered multiple solutions on how they could solve it. After explaining everything to me, they went to work on my car staying in contact with me to inform me of what they were doing. The next day, I picked it up and have enjoyed my cool AC. The genuine owner and his crew will work with you, offering their knowledge even if you know nothing about cars. Definitely recommend!

I had these guys fix my AC and let me tell you something you wanna talk about take pride in your work, they stand by their work ,but most important you don't have to worry about that they're very honorable- very trustworthy - I wouldn't take my car anywhere else

Schedule an appointment and you won't be disappointed, work back up in quality by brand new parts. Nothing refurbished. Upon work, comes with months or years of guarantee parts, and might be labor?

I give Tom's radiator place five stars Randy the owner is very efficientmakes you very comfortable that he will complete the job in the time that he is allowed does great work especially on old cars the ones that use the real brass he brings them back to brand new I will be taking my 33 Pontiac radiator to him soon

I only had the diagnosis done there, I didn't have the work done because another shop did it for $500 less.They seemed nice though

Dropped of motorcycle tank took almost 3 months kept giving run around the liner they put in my tank is very bad I would never recommend them for this type of service charged alot for bad job.
