Absolutely and utterly disgusted with the way this gentleman runs his business. I brought my 911 here for a maintenance after it was repainted at the body shop down the way. He had it for a week, charged me over $3k for almost pure labor and the car is now in limp mode unless you reset all the codes every time before you drive. The initial issues were never fixed. I paid this invoice happily and said, "well that is what you get with 23 year old Porsches." I was trying to be a good sport. Then I brought my TT300zx in there after it was freshly painted. The guy had it 3 days max and managed to clearly chip the right fender by dropping a tool or something else on it. He lied about that and claimed it must have been there prior to me dropping the car off...(the pain shop is three garages down and is in the same parking lot ) now he refuses to answer my calls and has forced me to leave this review.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance

A.k.a. LSXDR call West Coast Corvette to see about getting a price quote on a new differential install for my C5 I was giving Chris LSXDR number and to reach out to Cuban at Project Import. I remember Cuban from West Coast Corvette a really nice and great guy. I had ordered a stage 4 rear differential from RPM transmission with a transmission brace and four new shocks. Cuban set me up gave me a great price worked with me on dropping off my car and had it done in no time. Great work good customer service I found a new shop to keep my C5 on the road. Can t wait for my next build to have the LSXDR make my C5 faster.

Brought my 370 here for a full inspection. Wasn't planning on any repairs the same day but a few were suggested and I'm so glad I moved forward with them. Its crazy that my vehicle drives so much better with a single visit. Everyone was really cool, informative and I'll definitely be back soon. Thanks guys

I went with these guys for a coilover install for my Honda Fit after researching local spots in the area. There were initial problems at the start. After the install the top hat bolts were left loose, so I had to come back next day to get that resolved. After that was fixed and driving it for a bit I noticed suspension noises. I brought my car back to have it checked to see if there were mistakes made during installation. They tried to persuade me thinking it was normal. After checking with a friend a month later we noticed bearing bolt was loose and the issue was resolved. I contacted them to see if they can help with the rear suspension noise after the fact of resolving those initial issues. We set an appointment for them to check it out, this was my last effort with them, basically the mechanic said they didn t have much time even though I schedule an appointment and brushed the issue off sayings it s a possibility of things. My car might not be an expensive s2k but I feel like the whole install was mishandled. I put effort into trying to get this issues resolved with them and to be honest it just seems like they weren t very interested. I was hoping to get this settled so I could do future jobs with them, but this was just a turn off.

Seems like a decent shop, I took my car in to get a short shifter and bushings installed. Before deciding on this shop I called around getting quotes and this shop told me 250 if I brought in the parts. A week later I called to make an appointment and double checked that the quote for 250 was still good I was told it was. I go in they install the parts in a timely manner, but when it comes time to pay they charge me 320 instead. They told me I was wrong and 250 didn t include the bushings. They did the work so I had no choice but to pay whatever they said I owed. They did good work but there were just little details that add up, the mechanic didn t put a zip tie where the manufacturer specified it was required, so they had to take the car back in after I made a fuss about it, they didn t bother to put my shift knob on strait the number were all side ways, and my shift boot wasn t even pulled up around the retaining collar like it was supposed to. All in all 70 bucks wasn t a big deal I just didn t like feeling like I had some bait and switch pulled on me. While I was there I literally got an estimate for 1500 in labor for some parts I need installed in the next week. I couldn t believe someone would play me like that when I was looking to come back and spend more money. It s not a bad shop they seem very knowledgeable however, at least the man I spoke with seemed to have a great degree of arrogance and seemed to be under the impression that anyone that does their own repairs or mods and doesn t work in a shop doesn t know what they are talking about or doing. Funny thing is I have been working on cars for 17 years and have worked in several shops. I m happy with the work they did for me, but I don t think I ll be back to this shop in particular due to the overall experience.

I brought my Subaru to these guys to get my engine rebuilt. Seemed like a good place to go but I had nothing but issues with them. First when I called them they had me put a down payment for the short block being replaced which I did, and gave me a set price. They ended up calling me a couple minutes later saying it was actually gonna end up being more. I agreed because this is my daily and I need it done as soon as possible, but they ended up calling me again for an even higher price without even seeing the car. Oh well I guess it it has to be done. They said the short block was coming in and I should be good to bring it in a couple weeks. I called them multiple times just for them to tell me 2 more weeks after I had already waited. Called again just for them to do it again. Ended up taking 2 1/2 months and they didn t even get touch my car. I ended up picking up the short block and taking to another shop. Biggest waist of time

Trustworthy mechanics who know motorsports and how tricky it can be to work on a car with aftermarket parts. I thought I had a blown head gasket but Kiet and his crew excluded that diagnosis and properly bled/refilled the cooling system. They explained to me that the aftermarket radiator I have changes the capacity of my cooling system and throws off the markings on my expansion tank. The larger capacity means there is more expansion and overflows when the system gets hot enough.Thank you for squeezing me in on short notice!

My son and I are VERY happy with the work that was done on our 2008 Honda Civic Si - we were ripped off and the car was found abandoned with no motor or transmission in it - we sent it to the shop in October of 2017 and we received it back at the end of January, 2018 - we used a combo of our engine & some parts + OEM parts they ordered for us - fantastic job - Bijan is truly a professional and his customer service style is personal and genuine! He is an asset to your company. All the guys in the shop took a personal interest in making sure we got our car back to the original state - they did a "build" and the car is a beast! We will be taking our other cars to them for repairs, etc. shortly.

I recently brought to the shop my 97 accord to get some repairs and mods installations done (headlights/taillights) and I must say I'm very pleased, satisfied and happy with the results. Just tell them what your looking for and what you want done on your car and they will do it professionally. Fair pricing and well done service. Whether your looking for mods or repairs done to your car, this is my go-to shop 100%. I definitely recommend Project Import to the car community. Ask for Kiet and Young. Easy to talk to and down to earth people. I will come back for my next item on my checklist for my accord.

Took my 2020 Civic Si in for an upgraded clutch. They were very knowledgeable and set me up with a nice clutch. They did a great job in a timely manner and for a good price. I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs any type of work done.

What a gem of a shop.Start off, Cuban, the manager, was really good with communicating. This is very important as I experienced the "cold shoulder" from other shops when doing initial contact and inquiries. So, big up on great communication throughout the entire process, this is VERY important being a customer.I contacted Project Import to get lowering springs and aftermarket wheels installed on my 2015 Honda Civic. The work turned out great, the car look and perform much better. Cuban and the team did an excellent job to complete in reasonable time, while I waited in the shop. Also, I appreciate his honest assessment on what is good/bad that I can/cannot do regarding my installation, as most shops will just try to get you to do as much work as possible.I will surely be going back if/when there are future work needed for my vehicle.

TLDR: Unnecessary amount of energy, money, and time wasted! Just do yourself a huge favor by avoiding this place at all cost!!!After looking through several different places for services to replace some parts and rims for my Scion Xb, I ve decided to give this place a try because of the amount of positive reviews it had for their services. Even though, the price and the time it took for the service was a bit more than I had anticipated, everything I ve asked them to do was done adequately, except for the rims.Right after I received the car back, I noticed the tpms sensor was on in the dashboard, which I thought was a bit odd at first but didn t give much thought after since I thought it was just faulty sensor that just finally gave out that day. However, after driving off from their shop, the steering wheel started to rattle and I noticed the burning smell right away. So, I pulled over and stopped the car to see what was wrong with it until I found out one of the front tires was completely flat and that the burning smell was probably coming from the brand new rim that was scratching against the flat tire and the road surface. The following day, I ended up with towing the car to my regular mechanics shop where I bought the tires from, which was barely only around 2 months ago. I did try contacting Project Import before towing the vehicle and explained the whole situation I was having to them to see if they can figure out what the problem is, in which they instead suggested me towing it to a tire shop since they didn t carry any tires. At the mechanics shop I went to for the tire replacement, they told me whoever installed the rims overlooked and didn t check to see whether if the valve stem was on correctly, in which caused the air to leak out of the tires and becoming flat. So after finding out about this, I immediately became disappointed and felt regretful on bringing my car to be serviced here since I did ended up spending an unnecessary amount of time & money on towing, the new tires, and as well as the alignment/installation services, which it could all have been prevented in the first place by servicing it elsewhere.

Best Auto Body Shop Ever!!!!! My cars motor blew out in the morning drive to work. Stuck dead in the middle of the road I had a tow called and thought only of project import since they did outstanding work for me in the past. I had it towed there and they had my motor replaced and my car now runs better than ever!!! I'm recommending them to all family, friends and anyone that needs their car worked on. Cuban is the absolute best, go see him, he'll guide you the right way. And a shout out to George, the mechanic who worked on my car. Much appreciate you brother. Thank you!

The sharpest automotive techs I have ever met. Within three hours of dropping off my civic for a coolant leak, they called back reporting in detail the location of all three leaks... Additionally, they went above and beyond in replacing my throttle body, going through the trouble of ordering two, since the first one did not fit.

Absolute best customer service experience I've had in recent memory, in any industry. For me, asking for advice on parts, and the dreaded labor costs of modifying my fk8 Type R was a big deal. Cuban made this process seamless, streamlined and stress free. I drove all the way to Orange from Modesto (about 350 miles) just because of the rapport we developed over the phone and via email. Pricing was fair, and he always had advice on to do or not to dos (he has the same car). His familiarity with all cars and parts put any doubts I had to rest, and he even offered me advice and diagnostics remotely over the phone since I live so far away. Highly recommend this shop for it's quality work and awesome customer service experience.

I got my g35 coupe diff bushings changed , and art pipes installed. I was helped by Gilbert, great guy, as well as Brian. They are very knowledgeable, with just about anything you can think of, towards your modification needs or repairs. The turn around was amazing , since i am too busy during the week. Having their shop open on a Saturday was so convenient for me. This is the place to take your car too, they know their stuff! Will be returning in the near future.

(Sorry for the late review Cuban, Brian, and team!)In 2015 I got a 3rd gear synchro grind in my 08 TSX and didn't know who to go to for the repair.I googled shops and Project Import appeared on top of the list, I called and explain the condition of the car. They guessed the problem right and guided me through the whole process and gave me pretty close to exact cost of the repair. During the week the car was in (outsource transmission rebuild to Syncrotech in Ontario since the specialized and did it right), I got photos of the car each step emailed to me and they did exactly what they said they were going to do. When I got the car back, it drove smooth and the bad parts were given back to me in a box bagged from getting the car dirty.Ever since then I always came back for other repairs and the price and estimates to me were fair since I never had to go back for problems related to the repair or upgrade.Cuban is the most recent salesman I worked with and twice he provided me the same service or better since I started coming here. For example he charged for 2 quarts of transmission fluid instead of 3 when my car required 2.1 Q. He will explain in detail cost and benefits and what you need or don't need to ensure you get the most bang for your buck.My car still runs strong and performs well because of their services. Thanks!Bryant N.

The staff were great! The mechanics are amazing and when it comes to working on your car they don t mess around. They care more about the customer than taking your money (meaning they do honest work and take care of your vehicle rather than cause more problems so you come back) I am definitely coming back! I rather pay good money for good service and that s exactly what I got today.

Project import totally killed it on the service I needed. They do the best work out of any shop I have ever been to. Super knowledgeable employees that are willing to help you out with any question you may have. They re customer service is top notch. Cuban kept in contact with me constantly with what was going on, time frames, prices, and if they recommend something should be replaced since they have everything torn apart and would save money and time in the long run. Can t speak highly enough about this place. You won t understand until you go there. I will def be back for future service and I will refer everybody here. Love the staff here. They not only are exceptional when it comes to the quality of their work but they take the time to break down exactly what it is they do and how they do it. For someone that works 2 jobs and doesn't have time to pick up a wrench, it means a lot to me. From repairs to modifications, I'd trust them with my car and my future cars. Whether you are trying to make it more reliable or quicker out on the track, you get what you pay for here

Searching around a performance mechanic shop to install an ACT clutch for my 2013 BRZ and stumbled upon these guys. They had the best price quoted on on a flat rate basis on their website which I have NEVER seen. They did an excellent job installing my clutch and even took photos for me so I could post it on my blog site. They found lots additional issues and even fixed some as best they could at no charge. The mechanics and sales staff are polite, knowledgeable, and from my first impression their not out to take every penny you have with nonsense work. This is shop is one of the few shops I feel that they do what they need to do and any additional recommendations they propose is thoroughly checked and expressed before it is done. I plan on doing my 60k mile tune-up, which I was originally going to do at the dealership, but will be doing it at Project Import, as well as fix other issues that have come up on my BRZ due to a well-known shop in Orange County that did not catch any of these apparent potential problems after I explained the same situation to them almost a year ago, which are now becoming a problem. If your shopping around for a performance shop or even a general maintenance repair, check these guys out.

Came in yesterday for a routine job on a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. Cuban and his team changed out my rotors and pads and bled my brake fluid and charged me less than other shops. Cuban is a really awesome guy and held a conversation with me during the time my car was being worked on! Just because it s called Project Import doesn t mean they don t mind some American Muscle! Definitely will be going back again for other services.- Christian

2015 Forester XTI went there to get my fenders rolled and they pointed out the issues that came up on my rears as well as damage to one of my rear control arms. The shop that had just finished installing my custom coilovers and upgraded endlinks never mentioned the bent control arm and installed my rear endlinks skewed and not tightened. The rear arm was damaged by the tow truck that brought my car to the previous shop. The guys are knowledgeable even on a car they are not used to working on. They understand the way suspension components should be installed and work together. I had to order new rear control arms and return. They were willing to take a shot at actually cutting part of my rear fender, but figured out my rubbing was caused by my aftermarket mud flaps! I had asked them before they started about installing my nee control arms and he was kinda hesitant about it. When he called me to come back to see where the tires were rubbing he had already installed the new control arms.Their hourly rate is on par or cheaper than some shops. Seeing. Many of the other cars they've worked they do good work. They were suggested by my Dyno Tuner and I trust his opinion on these matters!

I went to this company to save myself time since they provided a few different services I needed for suspension modifications I wanted, and because they seemed knowledgable and friendly when I first met them. Neither have proved to be completely true and I've spent alot of time and money for a pretty disappointing result. My first clue should have been when it took three visits for them to drill an access hole for my coilovers that actually worked. THREE TIMES FOR A HOLE! They clearly were not checking their work and that proved to be true in the end when I asked them to adjust a front suspension component to a new position and they installed it back the exact same way as before. They were adamant that I was wrong. I showed them an email thread that showed in writing that there was no other explanation other than they had actually made the mistake. I was always polite in this process and kept offering ways to make this right, but they stopped responding to emails or phone calls. Then I remembered them bragging when I first went in about how they do this with customers when they are upset: they just ghost them. Really immature. That forced me to take even more of my time to call my credit card company and dispute the last service charge from them. So even more money now to fix their mistake and go over all the work they did because, honestly, I'm not sure I trust the work they did given the two obvious mistakes they made on two simple items in this process, and their failure to even acknowledge one of them. You may be good with them if it all goes well and you don't ever hurt their feelings by talking about a mistake, but why chance it.

Cuban and the project import team are fantastic. They work quick and do their best to work with your schedule. They work on a wide range of makes and models. They give honest feedback and aren't there to sell unnecessary services. Really a great shop.

Came in to get some fluids flushed in a pinch on my BRZ. Went to a few other shops around the area, and did not find any shops that I would trust to put my car on a lift. The guys at Project Import, however, were professional, knowledgeable, helpful and competitively priced. Discussed future mods with me, and I am confident in returning to this shop in the future for modding / maintenance needs!

Best shop in town. Real cool, professional shop. They know what there doing, along with the tools and equipment to do it with. I've been to other shops in the area and they all look like, short version, some were I wouldn't wanna take my car. Here, the show room, waiting room, and shop are clean. Wich tells me there gonna treat my ride the same way. And due to were I live and work schedule , I don't have time to down my car or work on it, so I like how the prices are set up to help the customer out with not only upgrades, but maintenance as well. The guys at the counter, ( im really bad at remembering names, sorry guys) easy to talk to, patient, and give great advise when it comes to upgrades for your ride. I own a 2006 rsx type s, and talking to those guys about how i wanted to get more power out of my k20z with out having to swap bottom end internals, they for sure pointed me in the right direction. Thanks again Project Import for all the help. I'll see you guys later

I needed drivetrain fluids for my car, and they had them at a decent price. They seem to have a nice work shop in the back to service and tune your car as you see fit. The guys behind the counter were knowledgeable and if I ever need parts in the future I will go here.
