Absolutely the best place for a hybrid battery! After doing some homework plus watching some YouTube videos. The brand new cylinder hybrid battery is the way to go for my Generation 3 Prius. Great price, service, and my high mpgs are back. No more P0A80 code.Walk into the shop, and they answered all my questions. Like warranty, power core refund, etc. I placed an order and waited less than a week for them to get it ready. Once I got the new hybrid battery, it took me 2-3 hours, and that's it. Test drove and check for code. Did one reset and back in business smooth sailing. 10 of 10 customer service, product and they work on all type of cars as well. Highly recommend and thank you, Electron Automotive!

I don't usually write reviews, but I am writing one because I love these guys! I completely trust them to take good care of my Prius. Every time I go for an inspection, they email me a comprehensive list of the things they checked, along with the status of each item accompanied by a photo. They always take the time to explain to me why they are recommending certain services, and engage my curiosity to learn more about my car! I never feel rushed or pressured to do things -- unless it is actually urgent, in which case they alert me to the issue calmly and without "scare tactics".If I could give them 10 stars, I would! I'm so glad I found them because they know my hybrid vehicle so well. Car maintenance previously felt like a stressful experience for me, but when I get my car checked out by them, I know I'll get a honest assessment and effective work. It's a joy to support them, too.As an aside, I had a custom "cat cage" (protective cage for my catalytic converter) installed by them more than a year ago, after my catalytic converter was stolen for the first time. No issues since then and I park on the street often in Downtown LA. It has given me such peace of mind. I recommend everyone with a Prius to get something like that installed, and these guys are the best.

This place deserves 10 stars, not 5. The service I received while replacing my hybrid battery was absolutely exceptional. I worked primarily with Christian and he was amazing to work with. if you re looking to change your hybrid battery this is the place you want to work with. Thanks again everyone at Electron!

I had the dreaded EV Hybrid P0A80 Code (Replace Hybrid Battery Pack). I began to look on the internet and YouTube. Several places recommend Electron Hybrid Solutions as the best with their cylindrical cells. I called the shop and spoke with Jose. He answered all of my many many questions. Their pricing was very good even for the improved cells. After asking what installation would cost would be, I felt that it was low enough that I didn't want to do it myself and risk messing something up. They were very accommodating with my schedule. Once they had my vehicle they ran a very comprehensive test and made recommendations. The car was completed on time. I would highly recommend this business for all Hybrid related services. They know their stuff

Months ago, I came here, and they told me my prius needed the start button and possibly another part in order to start, but there was no way of knowing that would solve the issue. Sometimes it would start and sometimes it would not. I took it to another shop close to where I live they fixed it that same day. All they did was calibrated the breaks and changed my electric water pump since they were going to check my electric pump anyway I told them I might as well have a new electric pump since I will be driving it a lot. It did not need start button or other unnecessary parts. People here seem nice but I just did not like the fact I spend some money here and I did not get that small problem fixed here.

Amazing business with amazing people! My 08 Prius was completely dead and I had to get it towed here. I've had so many problems with this car and I didn't know where to go. Early next morning they had a detailed list of everything wrong with my car and told me specifically what I needed to get it running again. The prices are affordable and the work experience far exceeds anything you'd find anywhere else. If your car (especially a hybrid) needs some work, do not hesitate to come here. They will take care of all your needs. All the people here are very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about hybrids. The customer service is out of this world! It's amazing here. 10/10 would recommend.

Best spot for repair to my Honda EV/Hyrbid vehicle that I know in the OC! Hands down. Straight to the point, does a detailed inspection report on your vehicle, and thoroughly informs the driver of all issues noticed on vehicle. Prioritizes the right repairs at the right time, and no unecessary extra stuff. Awesome staff too, totally clutch for my car! Thanks Electron!

I got a NEW cylindrical cell battery from Electron Automotive for my 2012 Prius, and I love it! Their customer service was excellent and the battery itself works even better than I imagined.I swapped the batteries myself; it took about an hour to remove the old one and another hour to install the new one the next day.I avoided the core charge by dropping off the old battery at the same time I picked up the new one since I live about 45 minutes from the shop. You should call to ask about this before ordering online because I couldn't add the item to my online cart unless I checked the box for the extra core charge. They ended up taking my order over the phone.My full tank range went from about 375 miles to 560. I can also run the AC full blast while parked for about 6 or 7 minutes before the gas engine kicks on. I can feel the extra power, too.

The entire experience from ordering to calling customer service with questions was so nice and incredibly easy. They called to make sure the year/model we had before shipping the battery. Their emails made it easy to complete the warranty form and keep everything organized. The battery was very well packaged and their instructions online for how to unpack it/repack the old one were very detailed. I must have called customer service several times and the person I spoke with was always so nice and helped answer my questions or transferred me right away to someone who could. They even helped me arrange UPS pickup for the old battery since it was so too heavy to take in our car. And as soon as they received our package, we immediately got our rebate for the recycling add-on we purchased. The dealership near us was going to charge over twice as much to make this repair, but I was so grateful that we were able to purchase it on our own and do it ourselves. We have two priuses so if the other one ever needs this repair, we'll definitely order again from Electron!Services: Auto battery replacement, Battery

About 2 weeks ago my Chevy Volt broke down, so I had it towed to a Chevy dealer who told me that I had a broken transmission. The cost of a transmission from them was more than my Volt is worth, so I started looking around for a new car to buy because I wasn't going to replace the transmission. Then I thought it would be good to get a 2nd opinion, so I towed the car to Electron Automotive. A few days later they called me and said not only is my transmission not broken, but it was actually in really good shape. The problem was that I had a broken CV joint, which is a much cheaper fix. In fact I ended up paying less than 10% of what the dealership quoted me for a new transmission. Since I saved a ton of money by not having to buy a new car, I decided to let Electron also do a few other maintenance things on my Volt. Both Christian and Jose were very nice and kept me updated on how the work was going. I picked up my car from then today and it's running perfectly. I couldn't be more happy with this place and I'II definitely be back if I have any other issues with my car. I'm very glad everyone at this shop is honest, unlike the Chevy dealer I went to. I bought a New Hybrid Battery Rebuild Kit for my 2007 Prius. They shipped the modules via USPS Priority Mail, and I received them much faster than expected, ~3 days after ordering. I rebuilt the battery myself, which took several hours for the whole job, but was not difficult. Their instructional videos were excellent! I shipped the old cores back and received the full core refund within the week. I'm very happy with how the new battery is performing and am getting better mileage than ever (bought the car used 2 years ago).Service: Battery

i had a good experience and the staff was professional, during my visit. I had my hybrid battery replaced with 3 yrs warranty with cost half of what dealer charged. Absolutely poor communication and customer service. Purchased a battery from them and stated a 12 mo. warranty. Had an issue with the battery months later and they will NOT honor the warranty. Electron Automotive was honestly the best company I've dealt with in forever. From amazingly responsive customer service, lightning fast shipping, crystal clear step-by-step video instruction to super helpful tech support, they were spot on. Replaced our old prismatic cells with new cylindrical cells and our Prius is back in business with more power and better mileage. Will be our first call when our other Prius needs a new battery.

My car stopped moving on the 405 and I was told by another shop it was my Chevy Volt's transmission that stopped working. They said I need a new one and it would cost over $7k. I have a 2012 Volt, which is not worth much more than that used (it's a salvage title). I did not want to sell my car or go through the process of buying a new (to me) car. The other shop found me a used transmission for $4.5k and a 90 day (!!) warranty-which is not enough of a guarantee if you're paying that much money. Electron not only had enough knowledge to reassure me that a Chevy Volt should be worth many more miles, but also found me a cheaper used part with a 3 year warranty. The first part they got for me was not up to their quality standards, so they rejected it and got a new one. Their communication and transparency, and frankly, customer service, throughout this process was amazing. I would recommend to anyone!Service: Transmission

The people at Electron are very knowledgeable about all things hybrid and electric and are super friendly. You can tell that they really care about you as a customer, and they are honest with you about what your car actually needs instead of just adding on unnecessary repairs. This is hands down the best Auto mechanic that I have ever used. Incredible customer service and attention to details. My prius c would intermittently fail at start up and was becoming extremely unreliable. I had already taken it to 2 different shops to try to remedy the issue but they wouldn't even look into possible issues because it started for them. I brought my car in to Electron and got a detailed car investigation with pictures and descriptions of everything going on with my car. They found the problem and fixed it right away.Also they were extremely respectful. As a small women who had been talked down to at every mechanic I have gone to (even being asked if I knew how to start my car....I wish I was kidding) Every interaction was very understanding, respectful and kind.I absolutely will be returning for any of my car issues going forward.Service: Battery

I randomly found Electron Automotive online and couldn't be happier! Chris, Jose and Joe are welcoming, professional and know what they're talking about. The team quickly quoted me, scheduled an appointment and replaced my GPS screen. They even honored the original quote after finding out I needed a different screen than they thought. I am super impressed by their superb service and will be commuting from LA to get my car serviced here moving forward. To all my LA folks, it is well worth the drive!PS- Electron Automotive is taking cautious measures to safely assist their customers during this pandemic. Everything is sanitized and their waiting area and bathroom are amazingly clean too. Everyone was wearing a mask and my car was disinfected before I left.

I brought my 2008 Prius in because I thought I needed a new HV Battery. They found out that the HV Battery was still good, but it was a sensor that had gone bad and some clogged parts. They always called to confirm and notify me of the changes. I ended up spending less then what I was expecting to pay after they serviced my car. My Hybrid runs like new and I love it. I highly recommend this place for hybrid vehicles their pricing is great.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Oil change

I have dealt with lots of repair shops i do most work myself but hybrid is out of my skill set but these guys are great very honest i dont understand how anyone giving these guys a negative review, christian is top notch customer service, they dont do any work without asking you first and never felt pushed

I have had my Tundra for eight of it's eleven year lifespan. Whenever anything major goes wrong with it, I bring it here. I trust the mechanic completely with my truck repairs. He has always given great prices, awesome quality parts, and fast service. He has never tried to con me into something my truck does not need (I have had other shops try this in the past) and is always upfront and honest with me. I highly recommend coming here for a car repair done right!

Prius and Hybrid specialist, and general auto repairs, doesn't mean big $$$ here. Young guys with experience and great customer service.Just got an oil change this time but would come here for major repairs or Hybrid Battery repair/replacement over a dealer.And they only recommend what is needed not what maintenance mileage "Guidelines" are written on a chart. And every service also gets a link to an online detailed inspection report with photos.

I've been here a few times and every time I have been here it was always a great experience. I would recommend Electron Automotive because they are Hybrid/Electric specialist and know more than the average dealership service employee. Their prices are fair and they will go into detail on what the issues is with your car or what needs to be done and why. You get what you pay for. Purchased "Gold Hybrid Battery" on 3/9/21 for $1,708.50 out the door. It came with 1 year, 15k warranty. The battery went bad on 3/13/22 with 34k miles. They didn't even offer a discount or anything on another battery. I would never buy anything from these guys again. Forget the slick website and free drinks in the waiting area. They're no different than anybody else.Service: Battery

Great shop, professional, and accommodating.I had a hybrid battery go out on my Honda CRZ and they were quick to fix it with in a day. The battery when out again and they quickly diagnosed/repaired the new problem.I'd go here if you want to be respected as a customer.
