Awesome service! They have helped several of my friends too! Super quick, rarely ever takes my car overnight usually wait an hour or less unless they need to order parts. Fair pricing and kind staff (thank you Alan!). Had the funniest disco farewell in the lobby when we checked out :)

Took my daughters Mazda to the Mazda of Orange dealer for a headlight replacement (HID bulb which is hard to get to) They wanted $1600 to replace it. They said it needed a new module because chances are the bulb shorted out because of the module being faulty. Took it to Chapman Auto and they replaced just the bulb for $213 and it works great and looks great. So happy I found this shop! Alan was great and the owner follows up to make sure you are satisfied. Where do you get that these days? Will use for all future repairs and maintenance.

Best auto repair service I have EVER received. Any business that a real person answers the phone and says " Happiest Place on earth" is gold in my book. I will never use another auto service center and will recommend to everyone I know. Great Job!

This place is a joke. Let me be clear, the mechanic who fixed the issue I would recommend,the service manager Alan is the joke. Lets put this to a vote. If the flat rate to diagnose a car is $120. That is what should be expected in the final bill? Nope, Alan jacked the "flat" rate to $240.00 because they kept the car 2 days. Not once was the flat rate mention as "per day", and not once was I notified the flat rate was increased. They did diagnose my cars issue but they over charged me for the repairs.Also a my 1 year old battery decided to die while in their possession. I purchased a replacement battery and they installed it which was a big mistake. The hack who installed the battery broke the positive cover, and destroyed the battery insulator pad around the battery. They provided replacement parts but I would not let them install them in fear they would damage something else. I won't be returning to them in the futureService: Auto engine diagnostic

CHAPMAN AUTO REPAIR OF ORANGE is the name to remember whenever you need any kind of work done to your car. Believe it or not, their company s slogan is Thank you for calling the HAPPIEST place on earth, how can we help you today? At first I thought to myself that an Auto Repair place is like any other places and how can the company got Voted as the BEST of ORANGE for customer s service and also Guarantee all of their repairs on PARTS and LABORS for LIFE. Is that possible? Is there such a place????I then venture out to really find out if this place is real or are they just another advertisement scam like we all have seen, used to, and accustomed to receiving when it comes to dealing with auto repair companies. After the worst possible experience I had with Lexus of Westminster, I have decided to give Chapman Auto Repair of Orange a try. I found them online like most of us and believe me if you googled the company s name you will be at ease after reading all the good comments left of this company.From the first time talking to them until I left with my car LS 460 Lexus, I felt relieved for bringing my car here and to give them a try. My Lexus needs a new starter and Lexus of Westminster quoted me the price of little over $2,200.00 to fix including the Diagnosis fees of $189.00 just to find out what the actual problem. It took them 4 days later from the day of leaving my car to receiving a call back from them informing me my starter is the problem. After the consultant Lance quoted me of the price $2,200 to fix the starter I confirmed with him once again about the warranty for their work and I was told of 12 months warranty on parts and labor and this is for replacing a RE-MANUFACTURER starter, not a brand new one. I guess after 12 months and if the starter decided not to work again I will be out of another $2,200 for another starter.With Chapman Auto Repair of Orange, the business is owned by John Pascal. It is a family owned business and almost everyone who lives in Orange County knows who they are not because they are a big operator in the Auto Repairs space but most people know them through referral of friends, coworkers, or family members. Don t be fooled by taking your vehicle to the dealers as I thought my car will be safe with them when I pay higher prices. This misconception is so wrong especially with Lexus of Westminster where their quoted prices of $2,200 to replace a starter, I got the exact same service from Chapman Auto Repair of Orange for $1,326.00 with LIFETIME WARRANTY ON PARTS & LABORS. Yes, you heard that right, my starter is warrantied for life on parts and labors so I never have to replace another starter again.John s company also paid to have my car detailed all of inside, washed on the outside plus as complimentary he gave me a free oil change just to give them a try. Now I am hook with their services and if I have to add up all of their combined services the cost of replacing my starter with them will be around $1,200.00 not counting the LIFETIME WARRANTY ON PARTS AND LABOR. In many cases you have to pay extra for this type of insurance but with John s company he told me that he uses great quality parts therefore he doesn t mind giving lifetime warranty for the peace of mind to all of his customers.What really melt my heart and felt warm about John and his staffs (Wesley, Joseph Robles, and Alan) is while I was there waiting for my car to be worked on, a homeless person walked in and was extremely apologetic by asking John if he could use the bathroom and not only John graciously agreed but also ask that the homeless person take with him some popcorn and a bottle of water with him after. John did it with a smile instead of pushing him away. I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank John Pascal (the owner), Joseph and Alan who helped signed me in, and Wesley who drove me to get a car rental while my car was worked on.By proving this story is true I wanted to give my name and Michael T. I decided to find a new mechanic. I chose Chapman Auto repair because they had good attitudes. They answer the phone happy and know how to deal with issues. Alan at the front desk helped me. John at the front desk was also very cool. They quoted the job ..did it on time. They were great. I Recommend them to anyone. Resolution specialists. Honest...fair. I'll be back.

Great customer service Returned today 6/2022 for service on my 2002 GMC. To locate and repair an oil leak that the dealer could not find, thanks guys for the awesome service and repairs, highly recommended. Returned again today 11/2/2022 for an Alternator replacement. These guys are amazing, I will be a customer for life. Thank you again, best auto repair shop in Orange County.

Have a 1964 car. Would not do a alignment. Said they didn't have the specs. I told them I could give them the specs. Still said no. Lot of vintage cars in Orange. You'd think they would do it. So I went to a Goodyear Store in Anaheim on Brookhurst St. Said they'd do it no problem. If I gave them the specs. When I got there they said they actually had the specs. They where great and faster than I thought. I am going there from know on. That's customer service.

My wife and daughter were out in LA for a softball tournament from out of town and their battery light suddenly turned on. They stopped by this place to check it out. After paying the $71 just to get in line for them to look at it, it turned out to be a bad alternator. To replace it, they wanted to charge $937 for a rebuilt alternator! After calling me to let me know we ended up having them towed by AAA to an auto shop in Costa Mesa (20 minutes away) that charged $350 less. Just crazy that places try to take advantage of people from out of town that they know need the work done. I d go somewhere else if you re nearby and from out of town.

I have a truck that was covered by Toyota care but that expired. Tustin Toyota always takes too long to service. Tried Chapman Auto, had passed by hundreds of times. They were honest about the cost of service and time involved, so far no problem.

Amazing service, friendly people, very fair pricing. I don't know anything about cars and had to ask the most basic questions about maintenance and what my car needed, and they were super helpful and not at all patronizing. After my oil change and smog test, I even got a text from them a few days later checking in and making sure everything was still alright with my car. I almost never write reviews on here and certainly never on car places, but I had to for this place!! 100% recommend.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Smog certification, Oil change

I went to Chapman Auto Repair because they claim to have excellent customer service and I m not a car person. I started going to them consistently for oil changes and general checkups.Recently, I had my first major car issue, where I needed to change the battery. I immediately brought it to Chapman and they quoted me dealer prices (double what other repair shops were charging). When I asked them, they claimed their service and quality of materials was worth it, so I decided to go with the trusted repair shop.Initially, they told me it would only be an hour to complete the repair. Every hour, it kept getting pushed back. 3 hours later, they told me it would be ready the next day. So now, I have to find my way home, but I get it - sometimes people get busy. I show up the next day and they give me my car with a smile. All good. I get out of the lot and see an error message about the battery. I call them and they tell me they forgot the program the battery. So now, 4 delays later, I find myself driving back to the repair shop. When I finally get the car back, I notice a bunch of error messages that were not there before. So now again, I call them again, and they tell me to bring the car in again. I bring it in later, and they tell me I have to wait in line and pick up my car the next day to get their mistake rectified (yet I was the only person who had paid for a service that was not done). When I finally get the car back, they told me, with a smile, that these error messages were not part of the battery, but they would be happy to fix it if I hand over more money (but that they would also be happy to give me $5 off the next repair of $1000).Needless to say I will never be coming back to Chapman Auto Repair

Terrible shop will never recommend to anyone.Had my car "diagnosed" and paid a hefty fee to have it fixed, while they did replace the battery and oil change a squealing I had was never fixed. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Had to have my car towed due to an alternator failure, so, I had that replaced. It was expensive, but for the area, I think it's fairly priced. Talked to Alex, who answered my calls, as well as John, the shop owner, and both were very hospitable.There was a little mishap with my AC that I noticed when I took the car home. I took it back and they told me there was a bolt(?) they forgot to tighten, but they fixed it up and even installed some new windshield wipers for free. Will definitely visit again when I need my car fixed.

After coming here for years I'm finally moving on to a more knowledgable auto shop. They charged me dealership prices (without dealership knowledge of the car!) (quoted me about $700) for a battery replacement for my BMW, when other shops quoted around $350-$400. They did not complete the full job, and this lack of conscientiousness for a steep price is unreasonable. On top of that, they told me the car would be done within the hour so I came by, spent an hour waiting with no updates, then had to leave because I had an appointment. I would not have minded waiting until the next day if they told me in advance. The next morning I picked up the car and found all the systems were flashing malfunctioning signs due to the battery not being reprogramed properly. I called and they told me to bring it in, so I did on three separate occasions and they never had time to fix it (after I already paid for the job).They wasted 3+ hours of my time walking from campus to the shop, waiting, as well as money on rides going back and forth. Besides basic jobs like an oil change, I would not take any german motors to this shop. I've never had a terribly rude interaction, but their behavior shows a general lack of knowledge about BMWs, poor communication, and lack of respect for your money (dealership prices) and time.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Battery, Oil change

Used them on multiple cars and both had issues. They're nice guys like everyone says, but bad mechanics. I caught the mechanic lying when he was questions by supervisor and myself. After I had to return Honda SUV for oil change and a simple battery terminal clean up. They caused problems with electric door lock because they didn't properly clean terminal. I gave them a second chance on a different Toyota car, to do a full diagnostics and replace spark plugs and other items. We had problems and noises, so took it to another mechanic and found out there's an issue with compression and going to cost a lot of money to fix now. When they did the full diagnostics check there was no mention of these issues. The two times I took two different cars for repairs, both came back afterwards with other costlier issues. We don't recommend them and suggest you not risk using them.

This shop has given us great service in the past at much better prices than a dealership. They are nice, professional, courteous and treat people well, but they recently diagnosed a part as bad that I just had replaced 6 months earlier... and charged $120 for the incorrect diagnosis.Seems if they don't know for sure, they might just "throw parts at it" costing unnecessary money.I took the car to a dealership, pressed them on doing thorough work, and after more detailed testing the dealer gave me a correct diagnosis different from Chapman of Orange.I might have given them 2 stars for the error, but they seem like nice guys, and everyone makes mistakes sometimes, so Ill leave it at 3.

I have been looking for a full service mechanic because the place I was going to let me down. After a bit of research, I found Chapman Auto of Orange.For the record: I have Not had any work done, yet. I have been having some issues with my Acura and decided it was time for the professionals to take a look.First Impressions:Everyone is super nice. I filled out a request for an appointment at 10:30 PM and by 8:45 AM Alan had given me a call. I told him about my issues and that I was waiting for a tow. The truck had already been ordered, so no point deduction for not telling me about the free service (I also have roadside assistance, so my tow was the cost of a tip). The Full Diagnostic Fee was a bit higher than I would have liked, but acceptable. It is a nice place and things cost money. I was initially greeted by Wesley, who asked if I would be needing a ride home. They have a free shuttle, awesome. While waiting, the owner, John, came up and introduced himself. On the free shuttle ride home, I was told that they also have loaner cars, if I end up having the repairs done. So far, so good.

I had a really great experience here. My car randomly stopped working. It wouldn't turn on and Triple A confirmed that it was the alternator. I called around and found this place. I spoke to Tim on the phone and he worked with me and provided a lot of relief in a really stressful situation. The price was very reasonable and the service was great!

As a female with not a lot of knowledge when it comes to cars, I was already feeling unsure about going into a new "Auto Repair Shop". I thought to myself however, no matter what, you will eventually need to get some repairs done and the dealership will always be much higher in cost than a family-owned business. So I went ahead and scheduled an appointment with Chapman Auto Repair.As soon as I walked in, I was completely impressed by not only the cleanliness of the facility, there were snacks, waters in a fridge and I was greeted with the most positive attitude -- it felt so genuine! It wasn't just one staff member, I was greeted by 3-4 including some of the mechanics that were coming in and out of the main office. I immediately felt at ease and welcomed.Fortunately for me, I work right down the street so I was able to drop my car off at lunch, and get a ride to work and back to Chapman Auto Repair with the free shuttle service!I returned to Chapman Auto Repair to see a list of items that my car would need to run smoother. Even though I was budgeted for a few of those expenses, Chapman Auto Repair did not push me, they did not "sell me", they did set me up with a priority plan to fulfill all the line items over time and feeling confident that my car will run as smooth as it's able. It felt like it was a family friend genuinely trying to help me get my car up-to-par.Overall, my experience was very pleasant. I was so pleased that I went back for a follow-up maintenance service several months later when it was time. At that point, I was able to expense another line item on the plan.I would highly recommend to anyone who needs work done for their car. Chapman Auto Repair is warm, family-friendly, positive, they remember your name, and ultimately they look out for YOU and your car! Thank you Chapman Auto Repair!

I needed to get my brakes done for a cross country drive. I was visiting from Florida. My mom has used this mechanic for years and is the only one she trusts to work on her vehicles. I bring my truck in for inspection and I needed both front and back brakes done. They were able to complete the repair the same day. And it was right before Christmas Eve. I am so pleased with the work they did. And my ride back to Florida was safe and smooth. Highly recommend this shop.

Courteous and friendly service is expected at any business and was received at Chapman Auto Repair. A bit reluctant, I called first and came in on a Saturday without an appointment. I had an oil leak and was very concerned about the issue and how much it was going to cost. My car is less than 5 years old and I hoped it was nothing serious. It was repaired by the end of the day and with the first time customer discount, diagnostic included,it was reasonable. Timely repairs, a reasonable price, courteous service, free shuttle, and issue resolved. This made my day.

Today was the first time I had been to Chapman Auto Repair, and I must say I am so impressed with every bit of my experience.From making the appointment, safely checking my vehicle (COVID SAFE), and then sending me a detailed report along with photos and video of my vehicle showing me all the ins and outs that need my attention and in the severity in which they do, the entire experience was great!I found this report to be so incredible helpful as I am not a mechanic, and seeing the items right there, along with photo and video documentation of the problems... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!After reading over the itemized and detailed examination report, I called the office and got a warm greeting, and an honest and fair price for the work I needed done.I have never had such a pleasant experience like this with any mechanic, auto repair shop or repair service before!Everyone that I spoke with was so polite, and professional.I highly recommend Chapman Auto Repair to anyone that has any problems with their vehicles!!Services: Electrical repair, Tires, Electrical, Wheel alignment
