My wife s Nissan with 139K miles got a PO868 transmission fluid pressure code. A repair shop and a transmission shop both advised replacing the CVT transmission. After calling and visiting several local shops, I asked Don to explain the options, i.e., new, rebuilt, used with low mileage, and warranty options. I ended up saving about $700 from the 2nd lowest bid, and more than $1,000 + from the expensive shop. My advice is to have Don see what he can do for you and your transmission!Service: Transmission

Dawn is amazing! Let me start off by saying that I know very little about cars and was worried about getting screwed over having to get my car fixed. I went into Don shop and he went above and beyond trying to help me figure out and fix my problem. He explained everything to me step-by-step so even I could understand what was wrong. The reviews on here are 100% accurate. I Now understand why he has five stars. If you are having transmission or axle problem, don't hesitate. He's the guy you need! Don is the best by far . He's honest and can get the job done . I had my transmission repaired some other place and they screwed up my tranny . Don was able to fix the problem and WOW my truck runs like new . I'm impressed by his abilities and great communication with the customers. If you got transmission or even just car problems this is the place to get it solved and best price

Don at Discount is one of the most honest and greatest mechanics I've ever worked with. I was visiting in Oceanside on vacation and my transmission went out. Don was able to get a great deal on a new transmission, get it there quickly, he spent extra hours in the night and morning to get it done quickly so I wasn't totally stranded! I found out later they actually had to shave off some corroded bolts to get my transmission out and he didn't charge me for the extra labor. He then met me early the next morning so we could drive back and called after our trip to make sure we got home ok. HE CALLED AFTER WE GOT BACK TO MAKE SURE WE GOT BACK SAFETLY. Seriously, Don is the salt of the earth, he does amazing work, and deserves your business.

Excellent service at an affordable rate. Don is an honest and hard worker. His rates are also significantly lower than other local nearby shops. When ever I need work, i call Don.

I AM WRITING IN ALL CAPS..NOT BECAUSE I AM MAD BUT BECAUSE I WANT EVERYONE TO HEAR ME...THIS IS BY FAR THE VERY VERY VERY BEST PLACE EVER FOR CAR REPAIR..DON IS THE MOST FABULOUS PERSON. HE HAS DONE SEVERAL REPAIRS ON MY CAR INCLUDING REPLACING MY TRANSMISSION..HE IS SOOOOO FAIR AND HONEST..HE GOES FAR AND BEYOND WHAT ANYONE HAS EVER DONE. I HAVE ACTUALLY "NICK NAMED" HIM "DR. DON" BECAUSE HE IS TRULY A "DOCTOR OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR"..HE WORKED WITH ME ON THE PRICES,MADE IT AFFORDABLE FOR ME....WHO DOES THAT ANYMORE...NO ONE BUT "DR. DON" HE BROUGHT ME HOME WHEN I HAD TO LEAVE MY CAR THERE.HE NEVER DID ANYTHING EXTRA ON MY CAR WITHOUT LETTING ME KNOW..COMPLETE COMMUNICATION..THERE WERE NO "HIDDEN COSTS"..WHAT HE SAID MY BILL WOULD BE WAS WHAT IT WAS OR CHEAPER..!!!!!! I ACTUALLY WANTED SOMETHING ELSE DONE TO MY CAR BECAUSE "I THOUGHT" IT NEEDED IT..AND DON SAID IT DID NOT AND SAVED ME EVEN MORE MONEY BY NOT DOING IT..!!!
