Mangled the drain plug and Quality level was low. And the boss had a terrible attitude and raised his voice at me.I have taken a couple vehicles here. First A manual for a clutch swap and finally an automatic Chevy. The clutch swap was a problem when a bolt was improperly torqued and actually ended up falling into the clutch assembly where it made a hell of a racket as it bounced around the bell housing till I removed it and showed them. He wanted to take Zero accountability for that.Then the automatic blew up after 2 years when the original lasted 20. Upon inspection this was the condition of my drain plug. Tightened beyond repair. A ruined affair. I m pretty disappointed so that s my take.

I'm an auto tech instructor so I'm picky, fuzzy, and freaky about who touches my car. A fellow tech recommended Oceanside Transmission when my clutch went out and these guys did not disappoint. No nonsense, fair pricing, but most importantly, I couldn't have done it better myself, and their customer service is excellent. I highly recommend Oceanside Transmission. The only suggestion I have for Dart is to let the " Lady " run the counter. She is way better looking then you guys, bit I will say this you can style a guy out!! After the first corner I took, my jaw dropped!!!! My little 454 had a set of legs again. Thank you so much! Puts a smile on my face when I'm behind the wheel.

As someone who has been in and out of transmission repair shops for the last 3 years with little luck, I was blown away by the professionalism that Dart and company provided. They were upfront and easy to communicate with, provided speedy service and did it all for an affordable price. If you re having transmission issues, stop in and see these guys for premiere service. Would highly recommend checking them out!

Took my Eurovan in for installation of a transmission cooler and also to have it serviced. They were very friendly and did everything they promised in a timely manner. I took it out for a short trip to Julian and broke down near Ramona. Called Dart and he found me someone local to help me out. I guess a clip broke or fell off. They fixed it right away . I was towed fixed and on my way in under 2 hours. I can t thank him enough for taking care of me. I highly recommend their services.

Update: Lies I was never contacted by the company or DMV and neither was the lean holder. It also was not even 6 months let alone 2 1/2 years. I was still making payments I was treated horribly when I called and was threatened by the owner or manager. I still owed over 5k when my vehicle was stolen and sold to one of the employees. I should pay a visit with my key and take it back. Horrible company with no morals.I trusted this company with my vehicle even though I lived 300 miles away. I made sure they could store my vehicle until I could return to pay for the repairs and they screwed me over. I even offered to pay them to keep my truck and they said not a problem. Three months later my truck was gone!! They put a lean on it and ended up selling it to one of their employees. I asked before that happens if I could pay a monthly storage fee to ensure I wouldn t have any issues and was told not to worry about it as they had plenty of storage which they did. I was made a fool because they took my vehicle which I still owed over 5k for and all my belongings. When I called to check on it I was treated horribly by the owner who threated me.

I brought my 1999 Dodge Ram in after the transmission had completely gone out. They had rebuilt my transmission in only 3 days and they where so nice and respectful. Had a small issue with a sensor later on and brought it in and had it fixed in just a couple hours. These guys are awesome

Really great experience working with this shop. I had my car towed out there because third gear was slipping bad and it got to the point where the entire enging stopped on me. After they inspected the car I got a call and they told me the scanner gave them other codes for the engine and they "wouldn't be able to sleep at night" if they tore into the transmission and charged me for it and have that not be the problem. They recommended a general mechanic down the road and let me leave my car there for an extra two days while I arranged the tow. If you're looking for a good group of people who are in the business to help you and not rip you off, this is the place to go.

Bobby provided Excellent positive friendly customer service support on my 2007 Chrysler Town and Country, explaining all the possibilities I had for repair costs after my free estimate, with explaining to me all the troubles codes. After i decided to continue and have the transmission pulled, the result was faulty preventative maintenance and chrysler wiring. The nice of my adventure was that I paid less than half the cost of pulling off the transmission! Which now works perfect! Cindy called a week later to check on our vehicle repair. Everything is excellent! I am a AAA Primier 25 years member and second time I have had work done here! Much thanks!

Oceanside transmission was recommended by our friend Dennis Clark who has been out trusted mechanic for over 3 decades now. This time the work was to be done for our friends family whose husband is suffering from severe PTSD, a true warrior of our country's military. The transmission work was completed quickly and they have the industries best warranty 100k or 3yrs. Super happy with the experience.

I bought a transmission from oceanside transmissions and i was having an issue with an error that i did myself when installing the transmission. I gave them my trailblazer and they fixed the problem that i had without any questions. They have very good customer service, repair work, and they stand 100% by their warranty. I have a manual transmission and my car would sometimes not accept a gear under load (example, when going up a hill, 3rd gear may not take). The problem was intermittent and I asked three different auto repair shops what they think it could be. Each time I would get a different answer and none of them thought that my self-analysis of "it could be the clutch or flywheel" was accurate.Oceanside Transmission did a free diagnosis and determined that my clutch needed to be replaced and flywheel resurfaced.On driving home, I noticed a very noticeable shake in my car when accelerating in 5th gear at freeway speeds (65+ MPH and higher). When I took my foot off the peddle the shake went away. I called Oceanside Transmission the next day and they said they don't think it is the transmission (which I agreed it could have been a coincidence - you are more alert to what your car is doing after a service). Sure enough, they inspected my vehicle for free and determined it was the front right transaxle that was causing my problem and not the transmission. This part was recently replaced by another auto shop and I will be going back to the other auto shop to see why my recent repair is failing. Thank you Dart for pointing me in the right direction and for the diagnostic.I then had a transmission service (drain and fill + filter change) done on my wife's car and all went well.These guys seem very honest and do not try to sell what is not needed. I appreciate that.Also, thank you Dart for work.I am going to recommend this place to my family and friends.(Don't forget to show your AAA Card)

Excellent service, patient with us. It took a awhile to raise the funds for repAirs. They did it for free, inspection and estimate. No pushing what so ever, after a couple month we we re back. Our Pathfinder has been running smooth.

Oceanside Transmission is the only transmission shop I will ever use! Their rebuilt transmissions have a 3-year warranty that is hard to find anywhere else. That's how much they believe in their product. These guys are honest and know what they are doing. They came to my rescue when I had my car towed to their shop after my recently installed "rebuilt" transmission failed. Oceanside Transmission said that the so-called "rebuilt" transmission was from a junk yard and still had the factory seal! These guys are the professionals and provide an excellent product with excellent customer service. That is a rare find too!

This place is honest and reliable, which is very hard to find. They have built one transmission for my previous truck and fixed an annoying leak in my current truck at a very fair price. The original guy who built my current trans tried to tell me the fluid leak out the rear shaft was "Ujoint grease". Thanks OT for finding the simple fix and doing it right!

I called and got an appointment next day. Knowledgeable staff, asked about adding aftermarket cooling parts and they gave me the best advice. Fast service, 2hours to service the transmission and transfer case for my 4wd. Will go here next time I need a service.

Online is says they stock and service the transmission for my fiat, but after a phone call they seemed to not have much info or knowledge on how to do a simple transmission fluid change on a MOPAR FIAT. Only put 1 start because there website claims there capable of doing something they are not capable of.

Rated at one star because there was no option for zero stars.My car was shifting rough. Had another shop diagnose it as torque converter solenoid failing.Asked OT for a price to replace it, they said they would diagnose it.OT's diagnosis was slippage, with an internal leak causing the hard shift. Dennis also told me itwould have to be rebuilt because there was metal in the pan.I put some trans additive in it and it began shifting smoothly. I told Dennis and he laughed and said it will go out soon.I crawled under to car for a look see. It was obvious by the rust that the pan had not been removed.I removed the pan and was surprised to find the pan not only had NO metal particles in it but was also very clean. I changed the solenoid and filter myself. The tranny is working perfectly. Smooth shifting, no problems at all.Why do I care? It is obvious to me that he not only misdiagnosed my problem, but telling me there was metal in it is just pain unconscionable!

Garbage! I took my vehicle there after having some major issues with it. I had to take it back 3 times and eventually I was told it was a electronic issue. Just to double check I had a dealership and 3rd party vehicle tech take a look at my problem. I was told this is a mechanical problem and the ATRA warranty should cover the shop to have it rebuilt. I flat gave up and moved to Virginia. Once I got here I had a transmission shop take a look at my vehicle. I was told after reviewing my documents from Oceanside tran, I was told that the valve body was not replaced and that would be causing the issue & possibly more problems due to a poor rebuilding shop. he referred me to a ATRA certified rebuilding shop and I was told the same thing, that it needed to be rebuilt!!! Now Oceanside Tran doesn't want to honor the warranty due to them losing funds from there mistakes! I would never recommend this establishment to anyone unless they want to go back for multiple transmission jobs...Just another typical Californian business that wants your money but does a half a.... job.

I took my 1998 Toyota Camay to Oceanside Transmission September 2009 and they provided excellent service and quailty. Oceanside Transmission provide a FREE diagnosis to the vehicle and help put on the the Trans Axle Cable for FREE. Thanks Oceanside Transmission for all your help.

AAA RECOMENDED OCEANSIDE TRANSMISSION, I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE AND WARRANTY. MY TRUCK WORKS BETTER THAN WHEN I BOUGHT IT. THEY EXPLAINED ALL THE ADDDITIONAL UPDATES PERFORMED THAT MAKE THE TRANSMISSION WORK BETTER AND MORE RELIABLE FOR TOWING MY TRAILER.

Took my truck in to get fixed so I can get it registered and these guys park my vehicle down the street from the shop and in the event I received a ticket and they're not going to make it right I wouldn't take my golf cart here to get work done.
