Brought my car in and they checked it out. Called me about the problem, they were fast and very reasonable in price. Honest people, i would recommend this shop to anyone. I didn t feel like they were trying to get over on me as most places do being a single women. My car runs like a charm. Thanks to Ben the owner and Steve the manager.

By far the best mechanic I ve ever been to, now I understand this is a basic response but when i tell you the level of communication and commitment to giving you the best transmission care this place has to offer.I own an 06 Scion tc that had a worn out clutch, normally I would fix the issue myself. I didn t know where to turn so I called in and immediately Trevor answered and helped me set up an appointment, he didn t even charge me to get an initial diagnosis. He did inform me of the problem and the cost of parts and labor was a lot less than I was expecting, they were even flexible on my payment schedule. If there was any slight issues that had to be looked at further they would call me ahead of time so I could give the green light instead of just doing it and charging me more.My clutch feels like it s straight out of the factory and shifts like brand new! I one hundred percent will recommend anyone who needs any transmission or clutch work to give these guys a call. You will not regret it!

AAMCO on Oceanside Boulevard was absolutely amazing, they were nothing but helpful and more than willing to work with me on pricing. They got me back on the road in short order and ensure a 12 month warranty to boot. Hopefully I won't have to come back, but should something go wrong they're the first I'll call.

I brought in my Ford Transit van with transmission vibration at highway speeds. Aamco advised they do a thorough diagnostic test drive and determined there was a probable bearing issue that would require a more major rebuild. Unfortunately, because I am out of town, I wasn t able to leave the van for several days. So, I paid for the service and discussed the cost of rebuild options. Steve was very helpful and fully explained all the costs involved. My experience was that they did what they said they would, within the time period they said and for the price they quoted. And, the communication by phone was timely and efficient. Overall, a good experience.Service: Transmission

I brought my Honda Accord Car into AAMCO Transmissions Total Car Care Shop for my 10 a.m. appointment with Steve this General Manager for a Free Oil Leak Inspection.This inspection took one hour for Juan their mechanic to perform this Oil Leak Check.Juan this mechanic did a very good job.I set up another appointment to come back at a later date to get my Honda Accord Car repaired to fix this problem on my car.

I needed an oil change sooner than later because I was going on a trip. Most other local places couldn t fit me in. The owner of this business returned my call personally on the weekend and set me up to have it done ASAP. Excellent service!

Having trouble with t/c light on constant and hard shifting. Returned to amcco for service they were prompt and found solution that two other shops could not. Everyone is congenial and very knowledgeable mechanics. Not just about transmissions.

Be aware of this shop when you decide to go there.That's my first ever experience to fix the transmission but maybe this may help you too1. They will ask you pay $900 cash for taking the transmission out, is CASH!2. Steve gave me the range to fix the car, from 2200-4450, no surprise, he quoted me 4350 with Cash, otherwise 4700, as he said my transmission is very bad condition, maybe all same very bad condition, so don't be surprised.3. Be patient, they will take long long time to fix car, take the transmission out, part delivery, wait, wait, wait .. fix, testing... If you need the car urgently, consider about that. Steve gave me the time schedule that is not work at all. Ok, when you still reading this, you are patient enough.4. He advised me to give him CASH, gave me good discount, but when you wanna pay with debit card or credit card, he got mad and finally we paid with no discount 4700. And he phoned us back because they need cash, um... Why always ask about CASH?! You know that....Conclusion,If you have plenty of time, no rush, no urgent,Plenty of cash, expected not cheap to fix it back,Poor communication and customer service,Free oil change (maybe after 5 stars comment, idn and I don't need that)Then you should go Oceanside aamco and find Steve. And will enjoy a long and nice journey with him and his team..Good luck you guys..UpdateTwo days later, engine light is on, I will go to check that out what is going on!!!!!!!

Let me tell a story. My son and his friends went or tried to make it to San Diego for a senior ditch day 2023 before they graduate. Let me say the 7 teenage boys didn t make it. Truck transmission overheated. So I googled nearest transmission shop and AAMCO came up. Called them and talked to Eddie with my issue. Eddie was telling me I needed an appointment but he got me in anyway. Truck stayed there over the weekend so they could see what was wrong come the following Monday. Unfortunately the cost to fix wasn t worth fixing the truck so I had AAA bring it home. Eddie didn t mind holding it for a few days and in addition he didn t charge us to look at it. Now that s customer service. Kinda want to break my other truck just to take it 75 miles out of the way to get good customer service.Eddie even complemented how respectful my son was when he dropped off the car.Even the lady that helped us during Eddie s lunch was ver nice as well.I don t write reviews very often but this one needed to be said.Good job guys!!!!Much appreciated and thank you Al & Lorena and 7 kids from Norwalk High School class of 2023

I took my 2002 Mr 2 Toyota Spyder to AAMCO Oceanside for a clutch issue. I usually go to the dealer for any work on Mr 2.... but I have been hearing the AAMCO Ads done by Tim Conway Jr on KFI am 640 and decided to give my local AAMCO Oceanside a try. I had no idea that AAMCO had so many services for vehicles! From the first phone call to picking up my vehicle, I can not say enough good things about AAMCO Oceanside! AAMCO Oceanside...is a Hidden Gem! Ben (also the owner) was honest, professional and extremely helpful in getting me and Mr 2 back on the road! I really appreciated Ben's honesty and the thorough inspection to what Mr 2 really needed! All the work is guaranteed and under warranty nationwide with any AAMCO. I personally know this car inside and out when it comes to 'bad noises' so I knew when the Screech and grind noise I was hearing... must be the clutch.... Well, picking up Mr 2 today and driving her home... OMG! I thought I had a brand new car! Shifting is so smoooth (even better than before!) and the drive home was so fun once again! I will be making AAMCO Oceanside my regular 'go to' hospital for Mr 2! I am very happy with the service, the professional treatment and of course... the quality of the work that was performed! I was on my way to the local parts store to purchase a transmission pan gasket for my 1993 Ford F-250. The first store only sold the gasket with the filter, which I didn t need. While driving to the next store to find a gasket sold separately I spotted the Oceanside AAmco Transmission shop and decided to see if they sold parts. The general manager was extremely helpful and in fact took the time to search the shop for the gasket that fit my vehicle. When he returned he provided the gasket at no charge. As a result of this kind customer service, I would definitely use this business for my future automotive needs. Thank you.Service: Transmission

Don t repair your transmission here. Especially if you are a young woman. I was completely scammed. It hasn t even been a year since they replaced my transmission. I was moving out of state and ended up stranded because my transmission went out again.I paid thousands of dollars to them for my transmission to work for 8 months.If I could go back I would have just paid a little more and gone to the dealership to replace it. I have also been trying to reach out them for a month to see if they are going to make it right and they keep ignoring my calls and emails.Service: Transmission

Hi my name is Robin. Just wanted to share my positive experience at the AAMCO in Oceanside ca. I desperately needed help with my water pump and thermostat. Ben the owner, was amazing! Steve was very nice and happy to check me in and give me a fair price out the door. Being on a budget, I greatly appreciated both of them. Ben was kind enough to take me home while the car was being fixed. When it was ready the next morning, Ben kindly came and picked me up to get my car. I absolutely found the shop for me!!! Highly, highly recommend this place. Tammy was incredibly friendly and helpful and the integrity in both her and the owner Ben is outstanding. It s difficult choosing a repair place if you don t have a regular guy you go to but I m so grateful we chose this place and will definitely be coming back with both cars. Thank you!!

At 108,293 miles and running strong, my 2001 Pontiac Grand Am, after a transmission fluid and filter change, it runs like a champ! And the ride is so much more fun! Came back needing an oil change, Steve gave me a great deal on it. The oil change was so fast I was able to actually enjoy the wait time. Happy customer!

I spoke with the owner Ben who was real friendly, straight forward, & kept me updated on my car. He s got a very professional team with great service. I took my custom 1985 Buick Regal in for a bad transmission leak in the pan. Once it was repaired, they asked if I wanted to have it looked at since they noticed some late shifting which I had noticed before as well. They let me know what the problems were and what new parts were needed. I chose to have my transmission rebuilt at a reasonable price. They also had financing available, which also helped. They were done within a couple days and when I got it back I noticed right away how much smoother it felt driving and I see I have no more leaks anywhere around the transmission. We had a great experience here. They helped us pinpoint what was wrong with my transmission and gave us all of our options so we could choose the best route. Unfortunately, it wasn t feasible for us to fix the car; but they were patient, generous, and very willing to work with us while we figured out our situation.
