So glad to see a shop like Wayne's Smog Inspection. He's a good man who does a good job at a fare price. He even gives a coupon discount. If you need a smog and live around the town of Oakley CA, you need to stop on by.

I needed a SMOG ASAP and I was looking for one and found Wayne s SMOG. I didn t know they existed in my area because I d always went to the same spot but now closed. I m glad I found this spot. The place looks like an old school auto shop with worn couches but I didn t mind it because it felt like home! There is a small TV to accompany you, while you wait for your car!There was only one guy ahead of me. The guy at the front desk, Jeff Wayne was nice. He said the service would only take 20 minutes and he kept his word! They usually take appointments but also takes walk-in appointments! The cost is standard and they take credit cards, sorry no checks allowed!!! I like the fact that I don t have to send a copy of the smog document to DMV, per the guy at the front desk, the Smog will be posted by 12 midnight of that same day.

Good place, but employees are kind of grumpy and unpleasant, which makes us want to go somewhere else. Staff could be more welcoming to customers.

Excellent customer service and historic decor. Jeff knows his s---! Not bad for a Chevy man.First come, first serve, so get there early when the doors unlock.

The man was extremely arrogant and very rude, as if you needed his service. He had no respect nor consideration for his customers. When I shared that his website provides information that is misleading. He stayed not his problem and refered to a sign he had taped to his entrance door. His condescending attitude and abusive demeanor influenced my decision to give my business to his competitors. No matter the costs i hope this helps to end this "cancer" to our community. Please, don't allow this to continue. Just because he has pleased a few doesn't give him the right to treat anyone the way I was. After all he does need customers. They all should recieve curtious professional equal service. Thank you for your time and consideration.

I took my car into the smog shop 12:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday. His website said he was open until 2 pm. Long story short I went in there and he just seemed to be bothered by having a customer come in. He came up with a couple of excuses why he shouldn't do the smog, but I honestly feel in my heart he just didn't want to. My wife gets all her smogs done there, well at least used to, we're just a local family trying to support the local businesses, but when I feel like I'm dismissed or bothersome it doesn't make me feel like supporting that local business.

He's popular so you probably won't be able to just drop in. Once it was time for my appointment I was in and out in about 15 minutes.

I will only go to Wayne's Smog, not only because it's a local small business but he is a great guy.. Some people I've talked to don't like him,Unfortunately They base there opinion on how he comes across witch is completely wrong in my opinion. Who am I or Anyone else for that matter To judge. You don't know what that person is going threw, Exspecially during these times.. He loves Lemon Ice Tea So every time I go in I bring him a few tall cans of Lipton Ice Tea. A little advice, We all need to look at our selves and NOT pass judgment. This is only my opinion!Thanks

The owner, Jeff, was completely rude. My son had his muffler changed prior to it being smogged. Took it to Wayne's and Jeff said it was missing two out of the four catalytic converters. Unfortunately, Jeff failed the truck and said the exhaust was tampered with. I had to go back down there and point out all four cats. Jeff tried to say we put them back on. My response, "Do you see any new welds?" NOPE! I'd have more respect for Jeff if he told me he made a mistake. But unfortunately, I have to take my business somewhere else.

Jeff Wayne is the best Smog Tech you will find. He will help you even if you don't pass. I have been doing business with the Wayne family since the 70's when his father owned the tire shop and Jeff was the Tire Tech, always honest friendly and fast. #1. Victor Davi

This place is awesome, the person doing the songs is very polite and professional, the place was clean, and it had a lot of cool collection of cars and posters. I love this place. This place was highly recommended to me, by my favorite mechanic person. Al.

I have nothing but good things to say. My family has been doing business with Wayne's Smog Inspection for over 20 years. Jeff is kind, polite, honest, diligent, knowledgeable, fair, and more. He works quickly and steadily, getting things done in a timely fashion, and is never wrong about his diagnosis, should your vehicle not pass smog. Jeff will give you (in writing) the numbers showing where your vehicle failed, and tell you what he thinks might be the problem - making it easier for your mechanic to pin point your problem, get it fixed quick, so that you can go back to Jeff for a second inspection and, and hopefully, your smog certificate.When Jeff retires and closes the doors at Wayne's Smog Inspection, Contra Costa County will be losing one of the last honest businesses that they have.I advise you to take your vehicles to Jeff at Wayne's next time you need a smog certificate for DMV. I think $60 is to much for a smog test especially when your only doing ballot around the car . This business has charged the community $60 for 20 years .Smog that I know of is in the $40 range . Not in a hurry to Service customers that is with in time of business hours

If you want it done right Wayne's Smog Inspection will do it.Was able to get in the same day for a Star inspection. Will use him again

Wayne had me in and out effortlessly. I would recommend this shop to anyone. Take a look at some of the history hanging around the shop. You might be in for a treat.

Brought out 99' Saturn here after our local shop told us they couldn't get it to track correctly on the dyno. Wayne had it done in 30 minutes with out issue. Thank God for professionals like him

Jeff, Has been here forever I will never take my car to get smog anywhere else. But it's 1st come 1st serve you don't have to wait very long either
