Excellent service here, and quick! I got my car back within the hour which is a record for car repair. I brought my Acura MDX to TMS for a problem that eluded me, and Tony fixed it right away. He couldn't have been nicer either. The garage is 2 blocks away from bus lines on International, and 1 mile from Lake Merritt BART.Service: ElectricalService: Electrical

I've been bringing all of my vehicles to TMS for nearly 20 yrs now. I've never had an issue with any work done. The work is impeccable, on time and reasonably priced. Highly Recommended!

We've been trusting TMS Automotive for nearly twenty years and we will never willingly go anywhere else with our vehicles. Tony and his guys are like family to us! They give us VIP treatment every time, going beyond the call of duty to keep our cars running beautifully. We know we can count on them to provide old fashioned service, sound advice, and nothing less than gold star quality performance, all while keeping the costs affordable for us. I never write reviews, but I am feeling a little taken advantage of by TMS Auto. I had taken my car in to get new brake pads about 3 months ago. After I dropped my car off, I remembered that I had a light that was out. The gentleman on the phone told me that they had already fixed it. I thought, Wow how nice. When I went to pick up my car, he charged me for the light to be replaced which rubbed me the wrong way because they had already done this without my approval, but since I had called them to repair this anyway, I just paid for the service. My real issue is that they told me that my rear brake pads didn't need to be changed yet and that I should come back after my next oil change in about 5-6,000 miles. Again, I though, Wow how nice. I have since driven that 5-6,000 miles and took my car into another shop since I am currently out of town. This new shop told me that I still have about 15,000 miles left on my rear brake pads. I don't appreciate feigned honesty and integrity. In all fairness, the work completed seems to have been perform satisfactorily.Just updated my review to one star because I just learned that they failed to apply my brake pads correctly essentially burning out the rotors. Now, I have to get everything replaced again already. I went to 2 places to be sure and they both told me the same thing. I completely regret taking my vehicle here.

Tony and crew at TMS is that doctor or dentist that you hope NEVER retires and you can patronize for the rest of your life...they are THAT good...been with Tony for 20+ years...he is "da BEST"...knowledgeable and trustworthy...can't ask for more...!!!

I ve been going to see Tony for the last 10 years or so. I ll follow him wherever he goes because he is honest and kind and he works really really hard. I always feel taken care of when I call him up to bring my car in. I ve never had a problem with my vehicle after he repairs it as Tony and his staff all stand behind their work. As a woman, I am used to auto repair shops trying to get over on me for my lack of knowing the basics about cars. Never my experience with TMS Automotive. He explains everything to me and makes sure I understand before I sign off on the work being done. All of my immediate family and co-workers go to Tony because of my recommendation and keep going back because they find what I say is true about him. I highly recommend him!

I've been going to TMS for years, because of their honest service. They will never push unnecessary repairs, and often suggest alternative methods for saving some money. They perform quality repairs, and have always gone above and beyond to make sure customers are more than satisfied.

Honest, fair shop. They do not push unnecessary repairs. I needed a catalytic converter to pass the smog test and they were honest enough to recommend a muffler shop that would do it for less than they could. I also had a broken windshield and they recommended I go to the glass shop even though they could do it themselves.They also provide free rides while the car is being worked on. So far I've been very satisfied with their service.

My family and I have been going to TMS For years. They are extremely detailed oriented, professional, and flexible. I highly recommend this shop. This shop comes highly reccomended. You may want to call ahead for an appointment.They do mechanical work on passenger cars, SUV and light trucks and while they don't do bodywork, they can refer you.I have towed many cars to this shop and never heard a complaint.
