We got our ultimate family car, luxurious yet not as expensive as the other well-known car brands. My husband just went to have our Acura MDX Aspec maintenance service and asked if they have the Type S white (He's been eyeing for it since January of 2023) Johnny was the first person he talked to, who is really nice. Then we had an appointment to see its full potential. I was not fully decided to get it but Paul and Ray worked together to convince me it's worth it. So Paul let my husband test drive and showed all its top of the line features that really WOWed me. Then here comes Ray, who gave us choices in financial aspect. We finally trade in our Aspec and switched to Type S. All thanks to the patience, teamwork, and accommodation of Paul and Ray who stayed with us until 7pm! Thank you Oakland Acura!

Johnny is great!!! Had called Service to inform of a flat tire about an hour before closing. However, service did not wait for my arrival to get car checked in or even provide the loaner. Thank God for Johnny and Ray as they wait for us to arrive and helped in the loaner and service process!!! Keep In mind they are in the sales department and NOT service and still helped me out with a smile on their face with excellent customer service!!! When you come to the Acura in Oakland make sure to ask for Johnny!

Please be very careful when you share information and negotiate price with the sales representatives, especially the one named "Johny".I shared the best price I got from a nearby dealership in South Bay. Without even confirming the number, Johny said he'll match it for sure and even add a $100 gift card. This is unfortunately a lie. Once he got the email proposal from the other dealership, he called their sales manager instead. Unless you have a lot of time to waste, I would suggest not trust their price match or beat promised. By the way, their initial best OTD is significantly higher ($1K) than the 2nd highest in the area for the same model and configuration.

Today is by far one of the worst experiences I have had by far at any dealership. My goal was to purchase an OEM part for my current Acura TL, and I was very interested in looking at a new Acura TLX. The "3" employees that I saw working were very unwelcoming. The young man, the lady at the front desk, and the young man at the copier never acknowledged me either. I will never recommend anyone to the current staff at Acura of Oakland.

My family and I have worked with Oakland Acura since 2010 when my aunt bought a new RDX. This was back in their downtown Oakland location, but the business owner was the same (Gordon). 14 years later and I am still impressed by the great care and service that this dealership is still providing us. I, myself, have bought my own MDX back in 2021 and still continue to use this dealership for maintenance. What prompted me to write this review is how cared for I feel with a recent battery problem my MDX had. My car wouldn't start right before Christmas, so I knew I would be asking for a lot when I called this place. Fortunately, a service advisor by the name Jesus (not making this up, Jesus helped me over the Christmas break) picked up my call and told me to just get it towed in and he will take care of the rest. I finally got my disabled car over Oakland Acura, and they said they couldn't work on the car until the holidays were over, but were very happy to provide a loaner until then. Thank you for that! When Jesus called me back with an update, he said the car just needed to recharge a dead battery, so I picked it up a few days later. Unfortunately, less than a week later, the battery gave out again. I was able to jump the battery this time, and drove it straight to Oakland Acura right when they opened. Without missing a beat, the service manager (Andrew) already knew the issue this time, and sent the car straight to the technicians for service. They replaced the battery right away and did additional tests just in case. I can confidently say that Andrew and his team got me in and out of there within 46 minutes! I really appreciate all that the help in making this car trouble matter as painless and possible!

Experience at this Acura has worsened since i bought my 2020 mdx. Seems like they replace service managers alot it is conserning. New service manager seems like a creep and a know it all but overall very rude. I shall be taking my business to Acura of Fremont from now on

Been a customer of Oakland acura for a long time. In a time where prices are going insane they generally are much more reasonable than brands like Mercedes. They know how to focus on the essentials.

No wonder people complain about the high prices of dealer service. I just dropped my car off for two identified issues and they charged me $240 for each issue, so almost $500 just to drop the car off. I told them I wanted them to fix both issues. Just fix them. Why do you have to charge me $500 to tell me what the problem is? I just want it fixed.After posting this review, the service manager called me and apologized because I should not have been charged twice. That is the responsive service I have come to expect from ACURA!

I stopped by the dealership on the way to Toyota to test drive a Highlander, to eliminate the MDX from consideration. After seeing and driving the MDX, I loved it but still wanted to drive the Highlander before making a decision. They had a newer Highlander on the lot and pulled it up for me to compare them side by side. It was a clever move and there was no doubt the MDX was what I wanted. Johnny, Jason, and Ray made the entire transaction seamless, with close attention paid to all matters. It was a great experience, one that is hard to find in the Bay Area. Well done, gents.

From the beginning we had pretty good service with Paul . Once we got to the dealership the wait was a very long time sitting around waiting for finance . When we toured the car we noticed the back tire was very low and told Paul if he can get that looked out before we left the property since we lived 2 hours away . Once we drove off the lot about a hour in we noticed AC wasn t working and tire light came on. Long story short a week later they came to pick up the car and take it to their shop to fix AC and again I mentioned to Brock at that time to please fix the back tire it s still going flat. 2 months later still having tire issues so I took it to our local tire shop and they tell me the tire was never repaired, patched or even possibly looked at , he said just seems like they put air and that was it . The whole tire needs to be replaced costing a college 19yr old kid almost $300 bucks . It s frustrating when I have made multiple requests before signing car and even after that something was not quite right with the tire and they assured me it would be taken care of. My sons safety is my number one priority and I will be calling corporate. I have texted Paul and Brock with no response .

I strongly advise against utilizing the services of this establishment for vehicle repairs, as their efficiency and progress are severely lacking. My vehicle has been undergoing repairs for an extended duration, exceeding one month, with no discernible advancement. On two occasions, I collected my car, only to find that the issues had not been rectified. It is disconcerting that they would return a vehicle without ensuring its functionality.I've had several chats with the manager, but sadly, things haven't improved at all. I'd suggest saving yourself some time and money by taking your vehicle somewhere else for repairs. They could definitely use some better management. Looking back, I wish I'd paid more attention to what other customers were saying in their reviews.

My Service rep I believe was Gary an Asian guy who lives in the City, he was absolutely the Best! I went to Concord Acura first and had a bad experience, bring your acura to oakland, it's not in a bad neighborhood. The service is night and day between the same dealership in name only. I will never go to Concord Acura as long as I own my Acura. The Manager at Concord Acura is horrible lacks customer service and does not get the support from his boss, that's why Concord is not good! Oakland Acura is phonemenal!

I brought my 2021 TLX here for bad speaker's connection. Service tried to fix it 3 times in the last 4-5 months. This means 3-4 hours of waiting in their facility x 3 times. I have called Steven today because the TLX speakers are not working again. Same issues as before. Whatever they are doing in Acura Oakland Service is NOT fixing the problem. Steven said he'll report to manager and call me back. However, I feel Steven is blowing me off because I never got the return call. What's worse is when followed up with a call 7 hours later, I was put on a 15 minute hold. Which means someone forgot about my car issue and someone is explaining to management. What Acura need to understand is that we are professional customers who have a regular job. Spending 15-20 hours combined to take care of a minor issue is not providing any service at all! Terrible experience and customer beware!

Came here for a brake service an my RDX. Made an appointment online, although the service options listed on the website are limited. I was 15 minutes late but they were quick to see me and get my car in for service. Jose was friendly and accommodating. He was able to get the services done in a timely manner. Services specials are significantly cheaper than other dealerships and their facility is top notch.They offer free Wi-Fi and complimentary snacks. Drive is a little further from San Ramon but well worth it for bigger services.

(Two weeks ago)I called and spoke to Tyler Issa to inquire about purchasing a car for the first time. I had a million questions and he patiently answered them..He's really nice and friendly right off the bat!He and Ray worked with me and I was approved for a car.Let me first say this. They both did everything they could to find the perfect car for me working with my budget, and credit score. They really treated me like family. It was genuine and I "WAS NOT" pressured or felt like it was just a sale.They have offers for recent graduates as well (terms). The process was literally a couple of hours and I have had my car for two weeks.Tyler thoroughly went through everything about the car and even referred me to a car insurance company that was affordable.Ray went over the purchase, bank stuff, and leasing terms and conditions. They were genuinely happy this being my first car purchase.The team at Oakland Acura is amazing and I'm highly satisfied with my car, the service, how easy and fast it was, and even the follow up.Thank you again Tyler and Ray for doing EVERYTHING you could to make me a satisfied customer. You made my first time car purchase very easy and rememberable. You are greatly appreciated. I'm very happy

Would not recommend going bad service. Asked simple question went to get car checked on they would not answer just repeated the cost of the service. The morning crew has no knowledge of what they are doing.

I tried to give this location a chance but 2 strikes and you're out. On the first visit, I scheduled an appointment to get the idle stop software updated. My appointment was at 830 am. Dropped off my car, and around 5 pm I got curious about the status. My car wasn't even touched. Apparently, there was a sick call and only 1 service tech on duty. No courtesy call, nothing. My car sat all day. I came before closing and picked up my car after wasting my day off to get this done. Fast forward to my 2nd visit. I visited a local Honda dealer who suggested a major repair needed to be done, I wanted a second opinion and since this is the only Acura Dealer in the east bay I decided to gamble and bring my car back. I explained what Honda had said was needed and if I could get a second opinion. I received a call hours after dropping my car off asking to authorize a 4500.00 engine teardown to diagnose the issue. I declined and asked for the software update that was not done on my previous visit. When I picked up my vehicle there was no customer service present (smiles, greeting, welcoming energy) I went to the cashier and was shocked to find that I needed to pay 240.00 for a diagnostic charge (Honda charges 200) that I wasn't even contacted about authorizing. Basically was coerced into paying for an Acura recall that the DMV requires to register. In short, avoid this location if you have a minimum expectation of customer service and transparency!

Brought my MDX in for an A16 service. Upon arriving, service agent Gary immediately came out to greet me. He quickly processed my service information. I waited in their spacious and clean waiting lounge for my ride. They completed my service within 3 hours even though I wasn t scheduled to pick up until after work. Returning to pick up was just as easy and efficient. The cashier processed my payment quickly and my car was waiting for me at the front door. Very happy with my service!

Today, my friend and I went here from another city to see the car in the rain. It was okay at the beginning, and the sales attitude was also good. But when it came to the final negotiation and counter-offer, another salesman said as soon as he came: We will not give you a dollar cheaper! I think the attitude of this salesman is too arrogant, and we cannot talk without business. Why do you have to be so tough right from the start? I'm here to spend, not to be angry!

Excellent service here. Took my car in for maintenance and was promptly greeted and got started right away. Service was faster than expected and I appreciated the multi point inspection. Comfortable waiting area as well. I'll definitely be servicing my car here in the future.

Great service from drop-off to pick-up. I was running late and had to pick up my vehicle after the service department closed. The sales staff kept my key and paperwork and were very nice. Thanks to all at Oakland Acura!Update: I had to bring in my car due to some warning lights. It turned out to be a major repair. Jordan in the service department turned a stressful time into a positive and enjoyable experience. Thanks again to Oakland Acura!

I came in for an A1 service today. Stephen Neri assisted me & is a very pleasant service advisor. I had a positive interaction with him. He does a great job going over details & service. He's very caring & understanding & a great personto char with.� He informed me of a payment program that Acura Partners with ( Sunbit) that was very helpful in my current situation since I need new tires.� Stephen helped walk me through the easy application process & im glad he listenedto my situation & gave me this helpful resource. I always have a great service here, but this was my first time getting assistance from Stephen N. I appreciate you for doing all u could to help me & explain everything to me.Christina & Robin at the checkout desk were both helpful over the phone & in person.I know sometimes I can be that customer that asks a million questions especially about cars lol. But they were very helpful and patient with me. I highly recommend & I always have a good experience even with the newest staff. Thank yall.

I was greeted warmly, the details and estimated cost of the scheduled service was explained, the complimentary car wash was provided, and additional questions related to my car's care were answered unhurriedly and with a smile.

My Service Adviser s name is Brock and he is truly amazing. He listened to my concerns about the car. Let s face it, my car is old and I think he sensed that I was not quite ready to part with it and he understood that. He was open and candid with me and provided me with options to hang on to it a little while longer. He worked with the timeline I gave him to get me on my way by providing me with a loaner so I could make my meeting on time. I truly appreciated that.
